When Wingstop became popular many years ago in NJ, I was not a fan. My first experience was my last because the wings were simply not good. At all. The garlic parmesan dry rub was a joke. No other way to put it. However, a friend convinced me to finally give it another try (nearly a decade later), and I reluctantly obliged. Since it's his favorite wing spot, I opted to duplicated his usual order - 10 piece lemon pepper. To my surprise, they weren't bad, tastier than I expected. They were fried a little too hard, but the flavor was evident, both visually and on my palate. I had a side of fries, they were over salted and cold. Delivery took over an hour and a half. Trying to call the place to see what was going on and no one ever picked up. No voice mail no nothing. It rang off the hook and hung up. I got so upset that my food wasn't delivered I planned to go to the place myself. Food was left on my front porch cold as can be. No one ever knocked or rang the doorbell. Such terrible service. This is the WORST wingstop location out of literally all Wingstop locations. 1) the absolute most unprofessional staff ever, they literally do not care and will argue with you. 2) it is about as messy/not clean as it could possibly be. Wingstop is a solid spot to get wings at. Especially their boneless wings. I really enjoy the boneless wings here. Plus, they have so many good flavors to chose from. Some of my favorites are the bbq, hot honey, lemon pepper, and classic hot. Plus, they offer great combo deals every day. I have ordered here several times now, and never had an issue. When I am in the mood for some quick wings to go, this is my spot now. I especially like their ranch dipping sauce. It's a unique flavor mix, and its just so good. This was my first time trying Wing Stop. I ordered half hickory smoked bbq and half garlic Parmesan wings. I also ordered a side of fries. I loved the hand cut fries and it's seasoning! I liked the fries better than the wings! The hickory smoked bbq flavor was very good, but the garlic Parmesan dry rub was HORRIBLE! They barely put any garlic Parmesan seasoning on my wings! It tasted bland! I bought ten wings and still left hungry! There was barely any meat on my wings, and the meat wasn't tender either! The 3 stars I did give this place is for the fries and the hickory smoked bbq flavor. I'll give Wing Stop one more chance at a different location. read more

I need to learn to read reviews BEFORE I go to certain places. I like WingStop, but enough to eat from here ever again. Won't be going to this location anymore. I'd rather drive to Eatontown to get food. I have definitely had better service. The food is never ready in a timely fashion. Chicken should be juicy. Whatever rub they are using is clearly drying out the food. Or maybe they just don't know how to cook it properly. Had a friend that had a bad experience recently also. She had to walk out because she was about to be very unladylike. Let's just say make sure you check your bag before you leave the restaurant. She didn't and couldn't do anything, about missing items, because her family had a flight and was out of the country for months. Didn't have all their food. It really might be this location, everytime I've ordered from here it has been nothing but a disaster. The costumer service is terrible. One of the women who work there, was screaming at a man because he didn't speak English. They're food I can no longer trust anymore. Last time I ordered from this location I got food poisoning. Horrible customer service. I ordered delivery and my order was missing the beverages. I called about it and had a rude employee give me an attitude about my missing drinks. She blamed DoorDash but basically admitted that she saw the dasher leave without my drinks and did nothing about it. If I hadn't called, they would've been fine with me not getting the drinks that I paid for. The employee was basically implying I should fall in line because she was the one that could give me a refund. Are you kidding me?! Please do better. The manager had a better communication style but she clearly defends the misbehavior of her employees and the logic she used was backwards. Customers shouldn't have to take attitude and rudeness from her employees then expect the customer to trust the employee. My money will be going elsewhere. read more

I am a big fan of Wingstop's food. My issue is with this specific location. We placed an order a few days before the Super Bowl for 5:45 the day of the Super Bowl. This location never has your order ready for the pickup time you select, usually you get your order 10-15 minutes after your intended pick-up time. When I did get there, it was 5:50 and the whole lobby was packed with people waiting for their orders. I understand the Super Bowl is a very busy day for them so my order not being ready yet was not a big deal at all. What struck me was the attitude which I was greeted with by the woman working the front. Aside from that, she was also screaming at all of the cooks. At one point, she started dropping "F Bombs" that all of us customers could hear, and we were all just looking at each other to make sure we weren't being pranked or something. I finally received my order after 6 pm while other frustrated customers continued to wait for their 5:45 pick up orders. Suffice to say, we will never return to this location. read more

Never had Wingstop before but as a wing lover was excited when the Cliffwood one opened! Have to say the two times we ordered we were very impressed, and honestly surprised since it is a chain so our expectations were low. The Louisiana Dry Rub is a favorite! I love wings but often leave a lot of the gross stuff on the bone...with these I clean the wing right to the bone! No gross stuff...just tasty chicken. It is a bit on the expensive side when all is said and done (40 wings and a handful of fries for $80+) but honestly worth it. Been looking for a place with good wings that will deliver for ages. So far so good! Already planning on getting them again in a few days for NYE and hoping to try new sauces/rubs soon. Edit: Got it for NYE and was delicious and a huge hit! read more

Customer service was an all time low. Placed an order. When I got home with the order noticed I was short. I called, all that's available was an automated system. I couldn't get in touch with a human. Drove back to the facility. As soon as I got inside I said "I believe i was missing mild boneless wings from my order" both employees started yelling at me from behind the counter. I never got a chance to explain my issue, I didn't care who was right who was wrong, I just wanted what was missing. After being yelled at in front of other customers. I sit down thinking they are getting the rest of my order ready. After sitting for about 20 minutes. I asked if my order was ready, he said what order I told you what you got, I said I know but I still want the missing food. He said "I don't have it" I said "I've been sitting here for 20 minutes you didn't think of asking "is there anything else we can help you with" after yelling at me again saying "get out of my face, or I'll kick you out of my store" the woman in the back brings me the wings. I had my card out to pay. She said you said you ordered but didn't get them. I said yes I did but they aren't on the bill so I'd like to pay for them. She said just leave I don't want your money. I came in to the store and ordered a 5 piece hot honey tender combo with Cajun fries and a regular size of the Cajun corn. The total was $17.57. When my order was ready, I checked the bag and noticed that the fries did not have any Cajun on it. When I checked the box of corn, the CAJUN corn did not have Cajun on it. I then checked the tenders and they were plain. I told the team right away that it was incorrect and they were yelling at each other in a joking way and laughing at my request. The worker brought back my order and succeeded in giving me the corn and fries with Cajun but the tenders were still plain. This happened about 3 more times where they kept bringing out the wrong order. I finally told them to just give me a side of the sauce since they were not able to fulfill my order correctly as i wanted it on the tenders. As i was walking out of the store with my order, someone calls me a "f****ng b***h". This behavior is unacceptable, and I felt extremely disrespectful. This store has horrible customer service and I would NEVER come here again. The place as well was just a mess. The drink machine was sticky from all the residue of sodas. As someone who worked in customer service before and was in their shoes I never once treated a customer with that amount of disrespect. The gripe I had was their hours of operation were random but that seems to have been corrected. I've revisited this Wingstop a few times recently, the quality has risen back up. I've been quite satisfied with my order and portions lately compared to a few months back. 4 stars instead of 5 because every once awhile there's a few hiccup. Fries are always soggy at this Cliffwood location. In addition to the water dipped fries they don't put enough sauce on the wings nevertheless the wings are good size. My second experience on April 19,2022 I order a 8 piece original hot wing in person just to received the dry Louisiana rub. I called up to express my incorrect order and management was apologetic. When I returned the incorrect order of wings and fries they were tossed in the garbage. Next, I requested new fries and as per the manager I needed to purchase fries again! I have ordered wings and fries online from this Wingstop half a dozen times since the site opened a few months ago. I use their phone app and pick up the orders myself. Delivery is available. There is plenty of free parking in a shopping center lot shared by a Dominos, a Jersey Mikes, and a liquor store. The site is conveniently located at the corner of State Route 35 South and Cliffwood Avenue in Aberdeen Township's Cliffwood neighborhood. We enjoy the original wings rather than the boneless option. The assortment of flavored sauces keeps it interesting. I'm not a fan of the seasoned fries, which are way too salty for my taste. A less salty option will have to come along before I try them again. The interface with customers is lacking in multiple ways and the location's biggest downfall. The phone app provides no opportunity for customer feedback. The store is randomly closed, or open but not taking online orders, but I don't find this out until I have submitted an order that is rejected. The cashier no longer greets customers but works with the cooks, so customers are left unattended and confused. It could be a management decision, a bad one. Most recently I walked into the store and two customers were standing at the counter and a bagged order was in the rack ready for delivery. My order took an extra ten minutes beyond the promised time. There were four people in line to the door when I left. Customers are left to their own devices to review the menu and assemble their orders, without any guidance from staff, if and when they show up at the register. Public relations is the biggest problem in my opinion. But the place is popular for the time being. I would recommend ordering online so you can review the choices and avoid a lengthy wait to receive counter service. And I'd avoid the fries unless sodium is your friend. read more

If I followed the advice of the previous reviewers, I would not have tried this restaurant, but I'm glad I did. I've ordered three times, and not once was my order screwed up, not done at the time promised or not fresh. The location is very busy and every time I've picked up, I've seen them working so hard, and they are very friendly. I commend the staff here. The wings are delicious, hot and crispy, especially those Louisiana dry rub, and I'm really glad they opened up nearby. No more long drives to BWW, and imo, Wing stop is better. read more

Let me begin by stating that I have never written a negative review before. As someone who waited tables and worked in bars, I have the utmost respect for the food service industry and the hard work employees do everyday to make customers happy. Moreover, I have loved the food since they opened, but I feel compelled to post this based on multiple interactions within the past week that went horribly. Twice within the past week, my orders did not make it to my house. I was charged each time on the order. When I called the store, I was met with attitude and nastiness that frankly makes me never want to order from here again. On Sunday, an employee actually yelled at me when I called to check on the status of my order. Even after the issues, I still tried to give them one more shot. I placed an order through door dash that they cancelled ( at 8 when they close at 12 nonetheless). So, to conclude, amazing food, pitiful customer service, and I am out three different orders with no money to show for it. Needless to say, I will never order from a wingstop again. read more
