Really feel bad I have to rate it this low. And 2 is a stretch. When it was good, it was great. Competent, caring staff, well maintained facilities. When it wasn't, it was unprofessional to the point of being unethical. I didn't see my trauma therapist for the first 6 days I was there, and then at one point I went 11 days between trauma therapy sessions. I should have received 10-12 EMDR sessions and got a total of 5. And never received the final one. It was clear during those weeks that admitting new clients was their priority, to the detriment of existing clients. Even the staff were muttering quietly they were overworked and stressed with admissions and couldn't take care of their existing ones. Some staff did attempt to compensate but it wasn't enough. Sadly, this was not the only place I've seen this happen. Staffing and communication at even nationally-known places can be problematic and complaining can get one stereotyped to one's disadvantage. Smaller places like Wings suffer more. Would I go back? Would I refer clients (I work in the field)? Maybe. My peers were wonderful, the location is great, the staff caring. I would just warn people to not suffer silently when they don't get what they are promised when they are promised it. read more

Hello everyone, I just want you to be aware that this organization is very quirky to say the least. I reached out to them last week on Thursday and went through their intake process. I was promised a phone call back and never received one I finally called in today to hear that I was not a good fit for their organization. The last 5 days on the streets have been brutal waiting for their phone call but I guess they're busy with things that actually fit their agenda. They sound really sweet Emma and Holly but don't let them fool you they have everything but your best interest in mind. Go elsewhere don't waste your time here read more

they've taken down 3 different peoples reviews that i know of. including mine. i was raped here. and blamed by staff. they said it was my fault. they said i was making it up. they didn't give me an assessment like i was promised. alisa (owner) publicly said she was trying to work things out with me and she had reached out only to privately not respond to my messages. multiple previous staff members have confided in me about how harmful wings was. for them and clients. they are not trauma informed. they use it as a buzzword to make money. if you want to get help, please go somewhere else. read more

By far one of the worst mental health facilities I have ever been too. I came here with high hopes, but ended up leaving with not so great results. The staff is super unprofessional and disorganized. There would be times where there would be no group leader insight and we would basically be leading the group ourselves. No staff on the weekends so you're stuck in the house if you need to go somewhere. Staff it's petty especially when a simple mistake is made or something isn't done right. They will humiliate you in the group chat. House mom threatened to install cameras in common areas, and a peer left because she felt uncomfortable. The manager is cheap and ratchet. Will not be going here ever again and I cannot wait to go home. One of the worst places I've ever been too. Shoutout to Jenifer, for always being there and carrying things with grace and kindness. read more

Stayed here for many months... towards the end... things started to get very unstable there... we lost a case manager so clients had to pull double duty and be their own case managers for a bit (which i'm pretty sure isn't allowed). After many upsetting personal things that my care team didn't help with like "food insecurity" they wouldn't even take me to a food shelter unless I begged, houses we were assigned to for a while, alot of them were in the worst shape, I had to abruptly move to a new house, because we found out that we were living in a mold infested home for many months.. alot of the therapist and mental health workers didn't really care about alot of the clients, and just seemed to be there to collect a paycheck. Housing manager was pretty much a tyrant and didn't really make things as accessible as they could or legally for disabled clients... There was a lot of favoritism, in which some clients could just opt to not go to program, whereas others suffered harsh penalties for staying home especially in emergencies.. (we were told 3 absences gives you the boot, and some clients just didn't attend unexcused just because they didn't want to) My own personal therapist, even though she knew I was going through distress, due to lack of help, being my own case manager, and all of that stress accumilating to a suicidal attempt, my therapist ignored what I was going through, and told me to participate anyways, or it'll be marked against me. Alot of the "mental health professionals" seemed very much unqualified to actually help clients, and there were several situations in which clients, had to intervene and help other clients if they were going through panic attacks, suicidal ideations, etc.. When we asked the mental health professionals to do more and help clients.. we were often faced with attitude, and told it's not our place.... I had to witness another client physically help another client who almost walked into traffic and killed herself... and that client was met with attitude. Overally it's just not a kind or calming place... idk if things have improved since I left, but this place is up there as one of the worst places I've ever went to for mental health and suicidal ideation. I personally recommend West Coast or Akua, 2 of the places I'd say actually do whatever they can to help you and they encourage clients to constantly advocate for themselves... Also the lack of favoritism is refreshing, and there are group activities they encourage you to attend, for current clients and alumni. Also the therapists and case managers are ABSOLUTELY fantastic!! read more

As a therapist, I was appalled by the level of unprofessional communication, patient neglect, and an essential failure in case management--including an inability to provide referrals to patients in need. It is a serious offense to discharge patients last minute without putting in the effort to search for alternate programs or provide referrals. This is law & ethics 101. Please improve. And to patients considering this facility, do your research and have back up plans. read more

Even though I only spent a few months at Wings, as my problems were less severe, I had a great experience personally. I live locally so I never lived in any of the houses, and I started at PHP level of care. I enjoyed both my therapists - Stephanie and Amy, and I thank them for making therapy an enjoyable experience. My only criticism would be that sometimes, it seemed very clear that Wings wants to operate as a business and not a mental health facility. I personally was not affected by this, but saw other clients who were. Overall, Wings made me understand so much of my emotions and I'm not sure where I'd be without them. read more

Working in the healthcare field, I've had the opportunity to work with many treatment programs--and I can confidently say that Wings Recovery Center stands out as an exceptional place of healing and transformation. I referred a client to this center who was navigating significant challenges related to addiction and trauma. From the moment she was admitted, she was impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and trauma-informed care provided by the staff. The clinical team demonstrated deep compassion offering individualized treatment plans, evidence-based practices, and a safe, supportive environment for women to heal. What struck me most was their holistic approach--addressing not only substance use, but also the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of the women they serve. My client came back with a renewed sense of self, stronger coping tools, and a deep commitment to her recovery journey. No one wants to have to go to a treatment facility but to get your addiction issues addressed with a holistic approach makes it more empowering. read more

My mother went here in 2021 for grief and loss. Today she is living her best life! Would highly recommend!

Going to Wings Recovery for three and a half months -- from residential, to PHP, to IOP -- truly changed my life. Before I arrived, I was in an incredibly low place and felt I had only two options: to give up, or to try something like this. I'm so grateful my mom found Wings for me, because I didn't even have the energy or clarity to research programs myself. Wings helped me understand why I reacted the way I did, gave me tools to make healthy choices for my future, and supported me as I made them. At first I planned to return to Los Angeles after treatment, but by the end I knew what was right for me was moving to New York. With their guidance I found a job, a therapist, and support groups there. The structure was life-changing: therapy all day from 9-4, learning DBT, ACT, CBT, IFS, boundary work, trauma support, plus daily process groups. In residential I also learned basic life skills -- cooking, cleaning, making my bed, living without my phone -- which helped me break years of isolating habits. EMDR was especially transformative for my depression and PTSD, and having access to it alongside weekly therapy, and a psychiatrist who could adjust medications in real time, made a huge difference. Wings is hard work, but if you're at the point where nothing else has helped and you want to experience joy again, it's worth it. I can honestly say Wings gave me the tools to build a new life. read more

This review is specifically in regards to the clinical staff / group leaders / and housing manager: some of the staff at wings were pivotal in my recovery, they were kind and compassionate and so invested in my wellbeing. I felt so cared for and supported by my therapist Stephanie, the trauma therapists there were so well trained and although my trauma therapist is no longer with the company, some of the others such as Guli have made such a difference in the lives on my friends and their recovery! Sherry the house manager at the treatment housing i stayed at was so so wonderful! She did so much for us, keeping us accountable while respecting the fact that we are adults- she has other roles as well as house manager and she handled all of the stress that comes with managing a house full of people struggling with so much grace and love. 4 stars because minus one star for the way that management handled certain situations. That was my biggest issue with this program, there were times that situations were handled in unethical ways that at times made it hard to feel safe and supported. read more

the nutritionist Andrea Zajac is the most caring well rounded practitioner i have worked with in years. Not only does she have loads of experience and wisdom from the years of work, she also communicates from the heart. The care and consideration she exudes is rare and enlightening. she is thorough while also a professional who takes the time to look up, learn and share new and invigorating discoveries along the recovery journey. It was great to meet someone who comes to work daily excited to share. She stands out as quite a rare gem in the standard quarry of nutritionists. read more

Wings was the best treatment I have ever received for my mental health. Not only do they care for my mental and emotional well being, they care for my physical well being. My experience at Wings changed my life. After using drugs for the better part of my life I finally received the treatment and therapy I needed. I lived at the Grandview house where I found my guiding light Sherry ( the house mgr). I can't say enough about her. Her love and kindness helped me through some tough times. My therapist, Sadie, was amazing too. She asked the tough questions and always gave me the motivation to keep moving forward. read more

Wings Recovery for Men saved my life twice. I came here at a very low point of my life. After many failed attempts in various treatment facilities , I found Wings. Skeptical to start here I read the Yelp reviews and further increased my fear of another dead end treatment center. I WAS WRONG . They were wrong. This place is amazing ! The staff, the approach, and the structure of the program is amazing. This is a place of recovery and with any recovery you have to want it. There are a million reasons why you won't like this place. You get what you give here. The truth is an addict like myself will always want to find the excuse of why something doesn't work. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET BETTER this is not the place for you because Wings truly works. It chips away at every aspect of your life. They provide amazing group meetings, process hour every day, individual therapy, trauma therapy sessions which by the way is the most helpful part about this program. The patients there become family and in my experience have always been very supportive and respectful of each other because that is the environment Wings Recovery conduces. The clinical directors go above and beyond the scope of their job to provide the best support system they can under their legal and ethical power. The in house therapist are amazing and so knowledgeable! Seth was my primary therapist and he was amazing! I truly wish I could continue see the therapist at Wings outside of the program. To the staff I just want to say thank you. read more

Wings recovery center has saved my life in many ways. Not only did the staff exceed my expectations, but the clients and community helped me thrive. The community built here was a community I will continue to hold in my life. I especially want to thank CCT's Dani and Liz, CCT manager Alexis, therapists Sadie and Guli, medical assistants Kodee and Sydney, NP Devin and nutritionist Marissa. Throughout my time here these people have saved my life in many ways. Not only did I feel accepted by them, I felt trust and kindness given to me in various ways. I would highly recommend Wings Recovery Center as a place to go for treatment to help yourself live a better and fuller life. Thank you to everyone who made my life livable and most importantly joyful. read more

Wings Recovery's care was the most absolute best that I've ever received at a mental health facility. The experience at the housing was amazing and the office was just as great. Everybody was so willing to be helpful to me and meet my needs. The CCT's at the center and house were very attentive and supportive. And the housing managers and housing staff members were so accommodating with my needs. The other clients were very welcoming and kind. I would definitely recommend this mental health facility to a friend or family member, or even a complete stranger in need of help. 10/10 would refer someone to this program if they were in need of support and help. read more

My time at Wings has been life changing. The facilitators, therapists, and especially the house manager went above and beyond to make me feel as though I was part of a family, not just a patient. They taught me important coping skills and helped me tackle trauma. My therapists specialized in EMDR and PTSD which was essential to help me overcome past trauma. My home life allowed me to learn to relax and I am genuinely sad to be leaving my new "family" to go home. But I now have all of the proper coping skills and tools I need to be successful. Thank you so much. read more

This program doesnt care about its clients. I said one hypothetical thing about wanting to punch someone in the face because i was angry at that person...it was not serious but i guess they took that as i was a danger to other people. Fair i guess even though again it was a hypothetical. The next day they tell me im dropping down to php. Next thing i know i am called into the program director's office to be told i need a psych evaluation at the ER. So why would they get me all hyped about PHP? Exactly. On the drive over i told the staff member people (my friends and family) dont take bipolar disorder seriously because what if i had delusions and hallucinations telling me to off myself. Again, HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING. The staff member proceeds to tell the staff at the place and then after 6+hours of sitting there waiting to be evaluated the psychiatrist comes to me after the 1 on 1 staff member leaves. She tells me another staff member will come wait with me and take me home. Not what happened. Instead they abandon me (a BPD patient with a fear of abandonment) and i have to stay over at the ER overnight. In the morning Iexpected a call from them at the hospital but instead nothing. The ER sends me to a great psych ward (or as great as a psych ward can be) called Sharp. Wings never called to check up on me, the social worker and parents had to call them. It took them two days to drop off my belongings when they shouldve come the first day. After 4 days at the psych ward and not knowing whether or not i am coming back, they tell the great psych ward social worker that i am permanently discharged for my HYPOTHETICAL comments. So they are dumping me without another place to go other than the psych ward which i am here voluntarily at and have been at for more than 72 hours. The one positive thing about this place are the two therapists I saw one on one--Stephanie and Mary (the trauma therapist). They are amazing and supportive but they just work for a corrupt, cashcow business. Fuck this place, they dont care about their patients. read more

I was horrified at how my partner was treated here and had to witness the near spiral into a worse mental state than when they entered. As someone with trauma myself, this is the facility of my nightmares. They will do more harm than good to you. Compared asking for their trauma informed therapist to treat trauma as "asking an engineer to do plumbing" even though they advertise themselves as a facility that treats trauma. Executive Medical Director (Daryll) promised to personally help find a new facility that will be better and then gave up after the second try. Will discharge patients while knowing their home situation is unsafe and will make no effort to make sure the patient is going somewhere safe for them. After you're discharged they won't let you back into your room to make sure you get everything, just saying they'll get it all for you. There is no way to make sure the staff will get all of your belongings. This place is completely disorganized and doesn't care about the patients. Choose somewhere better. read more

My 23 year old daughter entered Wings Recovery on May after a residential treatment center for her mental health challenges. Her Recovery by going to this center will be exceptional! The staff from the director to the housing staff for evening hour's were caring and kept in touch with me with positive updates from the start after the release of information was signed. I'm super grateful for this facility it is the one piece I feel was missing from her stay before after residential treatment. The all woman facility made the difference in her being able to open up about her past trauma and address and get the help she needed in her group and individual therapy sessions. She's excited to be home as of yesterday and feels with the therapeutic medication she takes and follow up outpatient treatment by local psychiatrist and psychologist she'll live a productive life on her own with all the tools dhe was given. Going to Wings recovery was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I was struggling with hormonal imbalance and extreme anxiety after a total hysterectomy as well as grief and loss of my daughter and most recently the death of my brother. A friend highly recommended Wings Recovery. My mental health team was comprised of my primary therapist and my trauma therapist whom led me through EMDR. I gained much insight and healing from EMDR. Both therapists always had my best interest at heart. I gained so many applicable tools that have helped me navigate my grief and anxiety. I felt safe and secure in the housing that was provided due to excellent house managers. Especially Sherry! I am home now and feel strong and confident in my recovery. I would highly recommend to anyone who is struggling with mental health to check out Wings Recovery. The icing on the cake was being in beautiful Carlsbad, California as well as making what I believe will be life long friends with some of the other clients. read more

I've wanted to write an honest and heartfelt review of the Wings program since I left five month ago because they all deserve to be reminded of how incredibly special they all are and the positive affect they've had upon me. Wings was life changing and life saving. From the office support staff to the care team and the therapist, they were all a great support team. As a resident, I felt heard, respected and appreciated and Wings staff truly care about their clients. Dr Alisa, who facilitates Wings, is compassionate and understanding. Throughout my journey at Wings and through every step I was there, I was supported. Their kindness has not gone unnoticed or forgotten. I am in your debt ( Wings) and I am free to be me. read more

There will always be something you don't like with every program you go to. You have to consider if the benefits outweighs the cost, and here, it did. Wings saved my life. I have been saying for a while that I don't understand how so many amazing therapists ended up under the same roof. I have a goal of being able to return here and give back some day as a therapist. Truly, I did not think I was savable. I never thought I could experience happiness again, and today I am so grateful to be alive because what a beautiful life I would have missed out on. ***edited to add that it's going to be hard. You have to be ready to work on the trauma. It's going to get worse before it can get any better. Treatment is very intensive and there were so many days I wanted to quit. In fact, I did. I quit against medical advice and then I went back and I will never regret a single day here, because what they gave me is the rest of my life back. That's so invaluable. read more

Wings recovery for men. Darryl constantly is on a power trip about how he runs the show, Michael side eyes you during group meetings and when something goes wrong they give different outcomes for each person involved. One person gets discharged and another gets a slap on the wrist for the same issue. The rules can be vague and the counselors watching over you allow you to break rules unknowingly only for them to come back and report to their supervisors. DO NOT attend this residential facility. All the clients are lovely and helpful but the care team and owners do not have your best interest or care and care about the insurance money they are receiving. This has been one of the worst experiences I have had and can honestly correlate it to jail time. This should not be an established program. read more

I found Wings to be one of the best mental health/addiction treatment in this area. I recommend them highly because of the results they get using methods that are untraditional such as EMDR. I went to them struggling with a situation and we did EMDR treatment that was very effective in transforming my life situation. I found the staff professional and polite and the counselors experienced in knowledge and empathy. read more

Working with the staff at Wings gave me the skills I needed to work through and get past my trauma. The work I did with them has absolutely changed my life for the better. Every person on the staff was kind and always made me feel that my growth was their number one goal. The team members are hand picked to work with trauma survivors and are well equipped to handle anything you may need to bring to them. If you choose to give yourself the gift of time with the staff at Wings, you can expect to be challenged to grow, but supported every step of the way. The work you do there can can help you get back in the driver's seat of your life so your trauma is no longer taking you along for an unpleasant ride. I recommend Wings to anyone who is struggling to overcome trauma. read more

I should've listened to the reviews better, this treatment place was by far the worst one I've went to. I did not do their PHP or Res, I did their IOP with their supportive living program. The house mom was kind and nice, but there were no activities in the houses, no group 12 step meetings, so everyone would be isolated in their rooms all day. And I didn't have a car, so I couldn't do 12 step because they were too far away by bus. I literally wouldn't see anyone during the day, since the program barely had any clients and when I did see them interactions were awkward because there were no activities to bring people together. The only thing decent was that the front desk person was lovely, and a few of the staff other than the IOP therapist were nice as well. But a few nice people isn't enough of a reason to give up all your time and money to come to a treatment program. Other than the isolation in the houses, I had the most problems with how the lead IOP who was also my individual therapist treated clients like me. Groups only consist of 3-4 people and were very disorganized. The lead IOP therapist was very unprofessional and would chose favorites in group and goof off with them because she never had anything planned for the groups. And when there were any emotions showed other than being happy in group, the IOP therapist would get uncomfortable and immediately try to deflect, make jokes, or hand out candy to shut it all down because she was clearly uncomfortable with emotions such as sadness or distress being expressed. This would make me feel like I had to mask my emotions and fake I was okay in group when I was actually feeling down or sad about something. I mean you would think a trained therapist would know how to handle these situations in a caring and validating manner, but not this one. And out of group she would never greet me, talk to me, or ask me how I was even though she would laugh and interact in between groups with her favorites who didn't even have her as their primary therapist. In individual therapy she would end my sessions 30-40 min early because I am a quiet person and sometimes have trouble opening up to new people, especially when I get an odd, off vibe from them. When I addressed my concerns with her, she put on a facade and pretended to care saying things like "you can tell me anything", but actions speak louder than words. For example, she was very passive aggressive and when I first got here she threatened to bump me up to PHP just because my outside private psychiatrist I got in touch with didn't respond to my text in a day which is another reason why I felt uncomfortable opening up with her. I had a job at Carl's Jr and didn't want to lose it just because of her, but almost did since she wasn't flexible with my therapy sessions and didn't care that I had a life outside IOP treatment. For example, when I told her I was working a certain day, and tried to negotiate a different time we could meet, she flat out told me I had to to come in at that time and that was that until my mom found out that she did that and called her concerned. She also did the same thing when I shared In group about how I need to be buying and eating healthier foods for my mental health. She took me after group and told me that if I didn't eat healthy, I'd be bumped up to PHP when it wasn't a big deal and I had a plan to buy healthier foods. After that, I never shared what was really on mind in group again and colored to pass the wasted time. When I left, she didn't even say goodbye to me or wished me well when everyone else did, she just ignored me and walked out the door and that's the last interaction I had with her. I even tried to see if I could change therapists since she clearly wasn't a good fit, but she said she was the only IOP therapist and I couldn't. Overall this place is a waste of your time and money since the houses are isolated, groups are small and disorganized, and people who hold high positions of power like my therapist are passive aggressive, inflexible, invalidating and uncaring. Honestly, I feel bad for people who were paying out of pocket to come here and I can't imagine what the PHP and Res programs were like if the IOP program was this terrible. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Pay attention to the bad reviews everywhere and very few good ones. The admin lady told me that "groupies" of famous people were the ones writing bad reviews and because they are mental health and not substance abuse, they can't comment on the bad reviews. I am not anybodies groupie and definitely not hanging out with famous people. I've been meaning to write a review of this place for awhile, but needed some time to process the traumatic experience I had here. At some point I will write a more detailed review of my experience here, but I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I will also be filing a complaint with the CA board. I am finishing my masters in couples and family therapy. I came here to process some trauma so I could feel more stable and grounded to start my internship. This place has beyond unethical practices. They do not care about clients and are just money hungry narcissist feeding into the unfortunate bad care of our mental health system. I think the therapist do care, but there seems to be to there a big lack of communication, cooperation and fluidity between the therapist and the people at the top. The admin team will feed you lies to get you there and nothing you were told is followed through once you arrive. I was not fed for 48 hours after arriving, even though I had been planning and speaking to them for 6 months before arrival. I had informed them of an underlying eating disorder and food sensitivities far in advance. This place felt like I checked myself into a prison. Luckily, another girl I was there with cane to Elevation Mental Health and spoke highly of it. I went to Wings in November, took some time to process and find the courage to try again. I arrived Elevation a week ago. The difference in care is out of this world. I feel safe and cared for here. I stayed there for 4 days and the things I saw happening here were heartbreaking to see as future mental health care provider. The best part was when I asked to schedule a meeting before I discharged, to discuss my experience, I was tricked into signing my discharge papers prior to the meeting and then told: "I am no longer a client here so I am not a priority and I can email my questions and concerns." Cece then followed that with telling me how my insurance may not cover another place and I am not ready for treatment. This place will gaslight you and manipulate your family to keep you here so they can take in as much money as possible. The office building is crammed and the group rooms are dirty and everyone is sick. You're not allowed to rest unless you have a fever and there is zero alone time allowed. They prey on people who've never had mental health care and are desperate for help. Staff is not trained nor trauma informed. You meet your therapist 1-2x a week and the rest is all group processing. Elevation has individual therapy 5 days a week. Fortunately, for me, I have had really good mental health care, and it was very clear to me that this place was not safe or fit to be providing care for anybody, let alone diving into deep trauma. Most of my time spent there, I ended up playing therapist and advocate for myself and my housemates. I cannot imagine being there longer than I was and enduring even more traumatic experiences than I did. DO NOT GO HERE ! There are such better options out there. I think any positive review from this was written by staff or someone with absolutely no other options and completely hopeless. read more

I wish I would have been recommended to this trauma focused treatment program in my late 20's. I feel I would have had the tools I needed then in my life to have continued being susscessful. This place helped me so much, from building boundaries with family and friends to being assertive and maintaining my self respect. I attended the residential program all the way to the IOP. I wasn't pushed to recover faster or slower than anyone, everything was done on my own pace. The therapists, CCTs, house managers, drivers, and Drs, were all on the same page for my treatment. I like that I am an alumni and am welcome to come back in the future if I need to touch up on this skills again. read more

I have only positive things to say about this wonderful program! They provide individual therapy, trauma therapy, group therapy, psychiatry, innovative treatments, and the wraparound support that is typically hard to come by. As a psychotherapist in private practice, when I have clients (or their loved ones) who need a more intensive form of care for trauma and mental illness, I feel confident in recommending Wings because I've had the pleasure of watching clients grow in leaps and bounds while in the program. A particularly joyful part of the program is the graduation process, the graduating client is celebrated by peers, staff, and therapists as they move on with better coping skills, improved mood, and confidence in their happier healthier future. read more

Wings has saved my life. I never knew what it was like to actually love yourself until I came here. The first couple weeks was hard but that can be said about any residential treatment program. Their rules are strict for our own safety and success in recovery. The staff became like family to me. They truly care about the clients and are always there to support us through our ups and our downs. The therapists are incredible and truly dedicate themselves to the clients. They build relationships with ALL of the clients whether they are your assigned therapist or not. The individual therapy has allowed me to view my trauma different and process my emotions that overcome and control me. The groups have taught me so much about my capabilities and given me skills to use in the real world. I walked into Wings scared, angry and not wanting to live. I didn't believe there was another way to live. I thought my trauma had ruined me but they changed that. The relationships I have built with the clients is a special bond and some of them will be life long friends to me. This place was my home during a very low and dark time in my life and it will always have a special place in my heart. Shortly after leaving Wings I experienced a crisis in my life that I never would have been able to handle before, but to my surprise I was able to face it without spiraling back into a deep hole. They were there for me during this time without hesitation and went above and beyond to support me. I am eternally grateful for Wings. They are definitely at the top for trauma treatment and I am so happy I chose to go here. read more

This place deserves negative stars. I flew to California for their program, only to be kicked out to the streets during the intake. I was triggered by something while talking to them, and they claimed I spoke in a disrespectful tone to them. Mind you, they are a trauma program, and I was having a ptsd response. And so I was left on the streets in random San Diego which I've never been to before, further increasing my traumatic experiences in life. I am still trying to find another program, and it's been almost 4 weeks since. I had my support system call them, begging for them to let me back in while I was on the streets, explaining to them that I will apologize for whatever it is they think I did wrong, but these people refused to budge. Before coming, I had long talks with the program, explaining all my mental health symptoms, including extreme ptsd, and borderline personality behavior. They kept reassuring that they are the perfect program to help me. But then they kicked me out within my first hour there. It's as if they've never heard of the concept of ptsd. I spoke to someone who is currently in the program, and she said that the only clients who are there are calm and mellow people, who don't make any noise; the most symptomatic they could be are depressed and suicidal. And I've spoken to multiple other women who were kicked out. Please be aware of who you're entrusting yourself or loved ones with. This is not the place. read more

worst place. the management is corrupt and they will gaslight you into thinking that you're the problem. and since you're the client who's there for recovery, it must mean that they're the sane ones. they threatened to sue me for speaking up about the practices they tolerate, and sent me home immediately when they heard I was looking for better care. one word for this place: corruption. read more
