I debated between a 4 and a 5, but overall, I walked out of Bloom quite impressed. I drove past it a couple times before finding it, but once I saw the "Bloom" sign, I knew I was in the right place. Upon walking in, I was a bit hesitant to go further into the establishment. It was very clean, and rather pink, if I remember correctly. First thing to keep in mind if you're a guy- don't get intimidated. You will be mostly surrounded by women- that's not a bad thing. You haven't wandered off course or anything. They will take care of you just the same. I walked to the back where they have their shot bar and shyly asked about the cleanse shots. I happen to be doing a 3-day cleanse with Choice Superfood bar and Juicery in Carlsbad (more about them in another review) and as a part of the package (from Choice) the purchaser gets a free shot. I chose the detox, as was recommended. Seeing as how I was doing a cleanse, it made sense. A quick sign off on the liability release form and I was whisked away to a private curtain off to the side. I was administered my quick (and painless!) shot...and that was it. These cleanse things are new to me, but overall I have lost a decent amount of weight and am sleeping like the dead. I plan on keeping this up and I will certainly be back. They have shots for helping with hormones, lymph flow, energy boost, the whole gambit...and I.V.s if you're hardcore, I guess (I kinda want to try that too). I just had the WORST experience here. I called to schedule an appt with the esthetician and then a consult with dr ward. This would have been my first time to a ND and to Bloom. I walked in 5 min before my appt (as I am always punctual because the event planner in me knows how important this is) and wasn't greeted by anyone. The front desk girl was checking someone out so I sat in the chair waiting for them to finish. When she established it was my first time there (still no reaction or welcome!) she then told me she couldn't find my paperwork and to sit down and enjoy tea. 15 minutes go by and she is helping other patients who walk in after me. Dr. Ward (owner) even walked in and put her things at the front desk, along with her two giant dogs roaming throughout the place She ALSO didn't acknowledge me (a brand new patient). I'm just floored at the lack of customer service and respect for a human being. After 20 minutes of zero communication from the staff and myself, I walk up to the shot counter and ask the girl behind the desk if the esthetician was even present. She answered no. She then tried to schedule me in with another dr who had just sat down with a rep. I said absolutely not I wont wait here another min. It wasn't her fault which I voiced but just the terrible communication between the staff and patients was clear. I felt disgusted and disrespected. I do NOT recommend this place especially if you are a first time patient. I will say the two positives are the nice smells of essential oils and crystals everywhere. THATS IT. read more

I left my first appointment with Dr. Noel at Bloom Natural Health in tears knowing she could help me and I finally had hope! She knew exactly what my issues were. She took everything in my life into account and then ordered lab work accordingly. I now have my answers and I've been in treatment for 3 weeks. The staff and Doctors at Bloom are the best around. This is what health care in this country should be. My life was saved b/c of naturopathic medicine and Bloom is simply the best. They care, and isn't that what's missing in medicine!?. I have been going since they opened their doors years ago and am long since healed, but can't imagine my life without them. I will not only live longer now but much happier too! This isn't cheap BUT it's worth it. You can get a consultation for a few hundred dollars that lasts over an hour! When is the last time you spent an hour with a doctor? Then most insurance covers all the lab tests. Check with your insurance so you aren't surprised. We need to take more responsibility with our own health! Then have another consult and get your labs read by the ND's there, not a MD, b/c you want them to look for patters and the root cause of things. That is what this is about.... we have spent 30-40 years eating poorly, not exercising, exercising too much, having stress in our lives... it's going to take some time and energy on your part to make the life changes. If you think going to a place of natural medicine will be easy maybe this isn't the place for you. This is life changing stuff, you aren't going to pay a $10 co pay, have a 5 minute office visit and get a drug prescribed to you. But you will heal! This place is so wonderful. I had just suffered 2 rounds if antibiotics and pain medications that all made me so sick. I had a bad reaction to all the medications. After just leaving Bloom because Dr. Ward has a lack of compassion for my wife, who after we spent over $1,000, in blood work and nutrition supplements from her shop, my wife was still experiencing heavy emotional and physical symptoms of shaking, weakness, so we decided to come in today and pay the $600 for a nutritional IV injection, I was going to have one too, but my wife was very emotional and fearful due to her condition and needles in general, and Dr Ward did not give a rats ass about how my wife was feeling, no compassion and was only frustrated, annoyed and triggered by all of this. Dr Ward then told us it wasn't a good fit since it was more social hour then a peaceful place for healing. After I walked my wife back to our car I went back into Bloom to express to Dr. Ward how we felt and got accused of being an assusatory, Dr. Ward was clearly triggered and did not care to have any empathy for her own patient and then I was told to leave. I could have caused a major scene but I kindly left to never return to such a narcissist establishment with zero compassion for patients. She only cares about herself and her business and the revenue she generates from customers. I recorded the conversationI we had and will upload to YouTube under "Bloom Natural Health - Dr Ward Naccissist, No compassion for patients" so if you want to have a callous and jaded doctor that Googles your blood work results because she hired incompetent "doctors" who are completely unorganized and forgets to give you your thyroid results and you have to remind them constantly to get their shit together. Dr. Amanda Ward is knowledgeable in her field and helped me get my hormones balanced thank god, but it is very expensive!! The extensive blood work they do is good and bad they want to put you on so many supplements after costing so much and not wanting to start slow on 1 or 2 and see how your body reacts. If you have any questions with your health plan it costs you $200 or so an hour for a call with the doctor or at least $70 for a 15 minute call. I feel like your doctor should not charge with every question especially at the beginning of the health plan. They always want you back for more blood work spending more money even if you are feeling better and don't need to change anything at the time. I needed one refill of my prescription and the doctor and office flipped out on me with lies. I don't feel they always listen to the patients needs but just looking to get your money.. read more

Happy to be a Bloomie! Bloom is my first experience with naturopathic medicine & I have been very pleased. I went to Bloom because I was tired of going to my regular MD for "wellness" -- lucky to get 15 minutes a year with my doc for a physical -- and the "come back & see me when you're sick" mentality. My initial consultation & follow-up with Dr. Noel was great. I did the initial blood work to start. I was most impressed with how detailed the lab report was & how well Dr. Noel explained the numbers & correlations. The staff is very friendly & supportive. Lauren & Kirra are the best at giving shots! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for lack of follow-up (I would give 4.5 if I could). My shot program was prescribed for 3 months based on my lab results but no one has followed up with me since I've passed the 3-month mark. I like the way the shots make me feel so I have just continued on the same path. It's been 7 months & I just requested to have my blood work re-done so I can compare the before/after results and see if it's really "working". You could definitely spend A LOT of money here. I would suggest you take one step at a time rather than jumping in with both feet & make sure you ask for costs up front. Dr. Orian SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before I found Bloom and Dr. Orian, I thought I would never be active again. I was depressed and absolutely miserable. I had seen a hand full of orthopedic specialists, and had surgery twice with only worse symptoms. All the doctors told me to stop running, and don't do any of the tings I liked to do. Just when I was giving up, I heard about prolo and PRP therapy. Dr. Orian was a professor for one of my healthcare classes, so I knew he was honest and sincere. We tried the prolo injections with great success. Feeling much better I began to push my limits and injured my knee a little more. After that we took my treatment a step up and did a PRP treatment. Now I am able to do squats, dead lifts, jump, run, and even hike up mountains. I did the three sisters hike just yesterday, and today feel nothing more than sore hamstrings.
