Unfortunately during the first treatment my face was burned and I ended up with deep purple bruises and blisters. I had to stay home for a week until the blisters subsided. My face became more red than before the treatment. I was told that the next two sessions would give me the expected results, but they did not. My face became very sensitive and the redness didn't go away. I noticed deeper broken capillaries in the areas where I was burned. When I expressed my concerns Sydney simply shook her head and said: "there is always a risk". My risk was in her hands. Her job was to assess my skin type, select the appropriate filters and correctly adjust the laser's energy setting, but she is either inexperienced or incapable. After contacting Sydney again I got a call from the owner, Stacy Grissen and she set up an appointment for me to come to see her the fallowing week.The day of the appointment Stacy called me and with an aggressive tone of voice informed me that she was cancelling our meeting, (BTW if I cancelled an appointment the same day they would charge a fee). She said that I snapped my fingers in front of Sydney's face, which is a complete lie... and btw why wait a week to cancel an appointment? I guess she decided to be offensive rather than being concerned that her employee did damage to my face.The way she treated me is inappropriate and dishonest. I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking of using this business : go there at your own peril. There is no place for a business like this in our beautiful community of Encinitas.

On June 21, 2025, I visited Avalon Laser to treat a few facial spider veins after seeing the…read moredoctor's work on social media and reading positive Google reviews. What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. After deciding not to continue with LaserAway, I requested a refund for unused services. Despite my concerns, I received only $551 back to my original payment method. I escalated the matter to LaserAway's corporate customer service department and was assured that someone from the finance department would contact me. Unfortunately, that call never came, and I have received no meaningful follow-up or explanation. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the combination of uncomfortable and misleading sales interactions, a lack of professionalism, and the company's failure to adequately address customer concerns after receiving payment. When customers are purchasing personal aesthetic treatments, trust, transparency, professionalism, and comfort should be top priorities. Unfortunately, my experience at LaserAway Carlsbad fell far short of those expectations. I strongly encourage anyone considering LaserAway to carefully review their existing account credits, question recommendations to purchase additional services, and fully understand the refund policy before making any financial commitments. As a man entering into the Kind Health Group was a breath of fresh air! They live on purpose and passion in this place and that is hard to find these days when most are looking for a quick buck. I was met with a big smile from the staff and an environment that was calm, peaceful, bright and inviting, felt like I was at a spa. Dr. Nanos is hands down one of the most knowledgable, kind, personable and funny physicians that I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few years. I recently went in for an abnormal looking mole on my stomach. Considering I am in the sun on a daily basis for my work in youth coaching and playing beach volleyball, it was imperative to have a talented and professional in your corner, like Dr. Nanos. She immediately indicated that we should remove it and send it in for testing. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or worried not only about the process, but the results as well, knowing I am in good hands no matter the outcome. Many physicians are more focused on the amount of patients they can see in a day and often MISS steps in a diagnosis, rather than forming a doctor/patient relationship and getting to know 'how' they can truly help and getting to the root of something or even preventative care as Dr. Nanos is so utterly good at! This is so refreshing for me to know Dr. Nanos and her staff really do care. Whether it is cancerous or not, I know Dr. Nanos and her amazing staff have my back...or stomach for that matter. I know they offer a lot of other highly sought after services for women in particular and will be sending all the women that I know there as I know they will be more than taken care of. I have been going two kind health for a year and the person I see is Annie. She is a health coach I came in for sculpting and Doctor Nana said I think that you need something different and she recommended Annie and I have been so thoroughly thrilled in the 12-month I changed my habits I have reduced my weight from 194 to 157 today. She helped me to look at things differently and I'm still working on myself and I'm doing other things but she gave me the guidance that kind of got my brain clicked in to take better care of myself I'm very proud of her and she is a very patient person and she did not push me. And in May I just had my 75th birthday and for me to change like this at this time in life is not quite a miracle but maybe just short of one. I do give a lot of the credit to Annie for her help so if you want somebody to be your health coach about things that are not necessarily exactly Medical but please call in and go by and see them it's a really fabulous office just like other people have reviewed the front desk staff it's nice and clean and presentable and very soothing that helps the process from the minute you walk through the door. Dr. Georgine Nanos had been my GP for years before starting KIND and I have always felt she provided SUPERIOR care and is an exceptional physician and person. When my mom had a stroke while out visiting, I turned to Dr. Nanos for her continuing care. When Dr. Nanos started KIND we couldn't wait to sign on. Dr. Nanos has been available for every issue whether by phone or same day appointment. Every appointment starts on time (although the office is so nicely appointed and the staff so friendly I wouldn't mind sitting a little bit) and ends when all of our concerns have been addressed. She has provided a level of care that far far exceeds the norm. She is on my "team" as I walk through this difficult time and that has, and continues to be, invaluable. read more

I found Dr. Nanos through a friend and I am so glad I did. Most women won't speak of conditions after menopause but Dr. Nanos introduced me to the Mona Lisa Touch laser and it was life changing. My relationship with my husband improved and it treated all of my unspeakable conditions, painful intercourse, vaginal dryness and urinary leakage. She took her time which resulted in the absolute best look I've ever achieved from injections. Also in the past with other medical professionals, every time I've had to go back for additional injections, as they have missed spots, with Jackie she got it in one shot. I explained I was leaving town the next day and asked if they could squeeze in just one quick treatment (less than 15 minutes). She checked, came back, and said, "Okay...I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you." I asked if the provider could fit me in and she replied, "Oh no, she won't." At that point, I just can't. The issue wasn't the scheduling mistake as things happen ...it was the complete lack of care in how it was handled. No alternative options, no apology beyond a flat "sorry," and no incentive offered to return Anne's make up for the huge inconvenience. Silver lining: I called SkinSpirit down the street and they were AMAZING -- warm, helpful, and got me in last minute. I officially found my new med spa!

First off, so easy to find parking and they're not charging you $10 plus to go see a doctor. I find that ridiculous in other medical buildings. It is so easy to navigate and very clean and calm when you walk in. All the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I walked in to get some bloodwork done, in total, it took less than 10 minutes to check in, get the bloodwork done, WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT! I was so amazed, I couldn't believe it. Another perk of this location is that when you're done, you can come downstairs to a whole-foods and one of my favorite shopping centers. It cannot get any better.

The communication was terrible, they'd charge me days before even shipping the product, the product would arrive late every month, they would never send extra alcohol swabs, sharps containers, or syringes even when I asked several times on the phone. I only ever had one brief check in over the phone with the doctor. Then they charged me for a 4th month without my consent or approval and said they'd refund me which they didn't so I had to dispute the charge with my credit card. I would not recommend this place. There are so many places that offer peptide treatment so I would recommend looking elsewhere.
