Great addition to Greenfield that is different from other chicken joints in town. Spacious fast casual dining with great service. Fried, shredded and grilled meat options, plus unique and tasty house made sauces!

Looked forward to trying this place. The prices were fairly standard. Not a great deal or anything. The broiled chicken on the fries had some pretty mediocre seasoning. A lot of chipotle flavors, nothing amazing. Pickled onions were good and all the accompaniments were fine. Now for the wings, fairly average, decently cooked, but the biggest sacrilege of all, NO BLUE CHEESE dressing. Hard to call yourself a wing place and not have blue cheese. Ranch wasn't great either . Best part were the fried mushrooms. Were they bulk store bought? Yes, but they were cooked perfectly and the sauce was good. Very average place. Wouldn't go out of my way for it, but wouldn't avoid it . If they want the get better, they'll make their sauces and dressings .

Chicken sandwich

First time trying this new spot. Nice clean spot with plenty of seating. Had the burger, chicken sandwich and the brisket baked potato. Food was really good and a fair price. Loved the coleslaw and sauce that comes with it. Will definitely be back again to try some of the other options!

Best restaurant in a 15 mile radius and it's not particularly close. I always get the hot chicken on mac and cheese and it never disappoints

Our first visit to Carnegie's in Greenfield to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I was disappointed…read morethat the online booking tool did not allow me to enter a special occasion so the restaurant had no idea it was our anniversary. There is apparently no difference in service. My hubs ordered a glass of merlot and I ordered their lemon/blueberry martini. The merlot was nice but the martini was out of this world. My new fave drink! We started with the asparagus dip and again, the best we'd ever tried. We ordered their smothered chicken and an off menu pasta with sausage. Both were incredible. I wanted to try their pasta so I ordered a side of fettuccine in herbed butter. It too was lovely. The venue is in the basement of a former Carnegie Library. It's a little dark and has a speakeasy feel. We turned the lamp on our table to a brighter setting to see a bit better. Our server was Chris. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the food, business and building. The GM, Jeremy, gave us a tour of the upstairs portion of the building where they hold specialty events. Overall, we loved all of our evening and were able to have this experience right at $100 for both of us. We'll be back!

My SO ordered Pork Parmesan over spaghetti but didn't like it as much as I liked the smothered chicken. It had great flavor and texture with mashed potatoes and green beans. With the new ownership, I was hoping for an upgrade in the dining area. We went on a weekday for a special occasion... my SO's birthday. They gave him a card which was a nice gesture but service was slow for a slow night. The room was freezing... the door opens and the cold rushes into the basement-like dining room. It's still too dark (couldn't see the menu without using our phone flashlight). The chairs are not comfortable. Overall it's too expensive for me and it'll be a long time before I go again. (We tend to drive to Fortville for dinner and are never disappointed with multiple restaurants to choose from. ) The reason I gave a 3 is because of the service, the room temperature and the fact that we only really enjoyed the chicken dish. They also might serve a piece of cake for a birthday if they wanted to impress me... lol.

A disappointing visit after reading so many great reviews. In hindsight, I should have filtered by…read moredate. I waited a while at my car after flipping the button on the menu board. The young woman who came out told me she only came out because they weren't busy. I told her it wasn't an issue and I was fine ordering inside. Maybe this was obvious to everyone else but if the in-car ordering wasn't available they should remove it from the menu board. It seemed odd to have customers walk in to order then have food carried out to my car, which is what happened. The patio seating is enclosed so there is seating "indoors". I think that would've been a better option. I was excited about their sourcing from Tyner Pond but don't think they do this anymore. The fries definitely did not match any description I read and I definitely was not expecting a small bag of crinkle cut fries. These are not worth ordering for $3. I ordered a double burger but a single would've been fine-it was quite large. It was good, but I wish the onion was sliced thinner- it made the whole thing difficult to hold and was just a lot of onion. The root beer is Sprecher's on tap. Overall a disappointment. Stopped in for lunch. Downtown Fortville. It never looks like there is a lot of parking…read moredowntown, but I've always been able to find a spot fairly close to my destination. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!

It felt like they were cutting corners the last three times I was there. Price increases too…read more.. same menu for the most part. Service is always good but I was disappointed with the food. I don't know if they have a new meat supplier or what has happened but I get the steak salad every time because it's the perfect amount of food for me and I can get it without cheese and croutons. And I have no worries about my allergies. Plus it is normally yummy! And perfect. I have to remind them that I want the bacon though? One server said cheese was pre-mixed with the bacon and that's why they keep forgetting it? Anyway, the steak has been chewy to the point where I don't enjoy it. Gristly I actually sent the last one back. The one before that I just set half of the steak aside after I couldn't chew it. My husband thinks I need to ask for a different cut of steak because sirloin is notoriously inconsistent cuts of meat and I just need to pay an up charge for a filet or something. Anyway, I panicked about getting a bad steak salad again last week when I was there and I ordered a burger. Who can mess up a burger I thought, right? I forgot about the bun. I think they toasted it with butter so I took it off. I still got sick though. Blast it. Why can you tell a server you are Allergic to dairy and they don't understand that butter comes from a cow!!!! I'm telling you this is my girlfriend's favorite place to meet up for girl talk so go and enjoy yourself. The atmosphere is nice. Seats are comfortable and if you linger to visit the servers are wonderful to keep filling your drink glasses. But after three bad meals in a row and getting sick after eating that burger... I'm going to talk her into going elsewhere. At least when I'm her tagalong.
