A decent hotel bar. Stick with the basic bar food though. As one of the servers explained to a clueless customer "this is not where you are going to want grilled salmon, the fish and chips here are great though", finally she was suggesting a salad if he was trying to go healthy. Healthy was not our aim. We started with mini tacos, made extra happy by being served straight out of the fryer with some sour cream and gringo salsa. Everything here comes to the table blazing hot. I like that. The crunchy little tacos were obviously freezer specials but they were tasty nonetheless. For mains we scoffed burgers, me a patty melt on toasty swirled rye and James a double with cheese on a sesame seed bun. Yum. I loved the rye and there were plenty of grilled onions. A cheesy delight with a bit of happy crunch. James wolfed his down happily as well. No complaints. Fries of course were hot and fresh. Off brand ketchup and packets of mayo, but nothing that made us sad. It's not the kind of place you will make a special trip to but it works. Ten times better than our excursion to Merriman Grill. This is the restaurant in the Days Inn, and like the hotel it's showing it's age. Naturally my expectations were quite low, but I was surprised by the sweet and hot BBQ wings, which were a decent size, nice and a bit crispy, with a sweet BBQ sauce and some Cajun spice sprinkled on top. Considering this place is called a Wing Bar it should have half decent wings, which it does. Caesar salad wasn't bad either, but service is where it falls down. It took repeated attempts to get cutlery and napkins, so had to lick the wing sauce off my fingers. Probably quicker to walk down to McDonald's if you're looking for something faster. read more

It's a bar. In a Days Inn. By an airport. If you are here, it is because you don't have another option. (If you DO have another option, any other option, TAKE IT!) PROS It's a bar. They have a selection of adult beverages. It isn't be largest selection (especially of drafts and wine), but if you are stuck you can't be picky. The prices aren't terrible (between $8 and $9 for a "standard" cocktail), but aren't super cheap either. They have a large selection of fried things (potatoes, mozzarella, etc) you can munch on. They are frozen then fried when you order. Which means they are predictable - a quality in a place like this. The wings are probably the best bet - approaching fresh and with decent seasoning, the most redeeming item on the menu. CONS The service. My goodness the service. Have I mentioned it is a bar in a Days Inn by an airport? Somewhat predictably, the services is just as you would expect - mediocre. You probably don't want to be here - neither do the staff. At least everyone shares this in common. The non-frozen/fried food is strikingly bland. Except when it is covered in so much salt that it becomes inedible. I had a steak (my mistake), ordered medium rare. It had been cooked so long and it more resembled a slice of leather - and had about as much taste. OVERALL If you are stuck at the Days Inn and have no way of leaving, then Wings will provide you with food and drink for a not overwhelming amount of money. You probably won't get sick afterward. I have been here twice in the last couple years because of the park and fly rates the Days Inn offers. I received exactly what I expected and better both times. It is a bar/grill in a hotel so I wasn't expecting waiters and/or waitresses in a uniform, a Filet Mignon on the menu, or a wide variety of Micro-brews on on tap. My first visit I had some chicken wings and a beer. The wings were tasty as was the beer and the service was acceptable. The second visit was this evening and it was for a few drinks with my girl. We had drinks within two minutes of siting down and prompt attention on the refills, we never had an empty glass. The drink menu has a wider variety of wines and beers than I would expect for this type of establishment and the cocktails we had were mixed well and quite tasty. The decor is up-to-date, inviting, and there are at least 3 televisions for your viewing pleasure. read more

Ordered the grilled chicken breast. The outer part was thinner and cooked fine, but the middle of the breast was thicker and undercooked. I spit it out and told the waitress. She went to the back to tell the cook, came back and said "I didn't see any pink when I went back there, but we put it back on the grill. I like my chicken crispy too." It's not that I wanted it crispy, I don't want undercooked poultry that can get me sick. This is the worst place I ever been!!!! They charge us 20% tip for a party of 6 of more wtf I have 5 ppl but came in with 15 ppl. Do the math if they didn't do that they would got a better tip.... Incredibly understaffed. The menu is very oddly priced. The prices make no sense. $9 for 4 small chicken strips and no fries but $10 for a 1 lb burger with fries. Google told me closes at 12 but they stop food at 1030 and closed at 11. People came In Looking for food and a beer were turned away. So there's confusing about times.
