If there were 10 stars I would give 10!!!!!! After a rough 24 hours, a blow out in our RV which ripped the brake connection, standstill traffic jam, a dust storm.... Wingers is located next to the RV park we are staying in.... We had to have the RV repaired and had no place for our Boston Terrier to stay while we had lunch.. the manager, Josh was kind enough to let us bring Louie in... we are not the kind of people who ever bring our dog to eating establishments but it was so warm we couldn't leave him in our truck. What a relief when we were allowed to bring him inside The food was great! We love nachos and wings and both were fantastic! The drinks were also awesome!!! A good locals hangout, food is good, staff can be varied, but they do a good job. Never had a bad meal here. They are located next to a mining living quarters. Don't let the hard working folks scare you away, these folks work hard, long hours, and come in straight from work at the mine, they eat before going to sleep, and do it all over again the next day. read more

Drove through around 7:30pm on a Friday night, stopped here for dinner. Service was fine, but the food was horrible. Grilled cheese was cold, soup was cold, and buffalo cauliflower lacked flavor and was rotten on the inside. Wish we would've saved our $55 and just starved for the night. Update: owner obviously doesn't care to offer apology, instead says they cut the cauliflower fresh and that they don't offer grilled cheese. I work from out of town but when I arrive in Winnemucca all I crave is Wingers. The service is always pretty good, I have been ordering to-go only and have stayed in the restaurant a couple times, usually has the great food variety and drinks, pretty clean and spacious. The one thing that drives me back is the wings from Wingers, they are just consistent, good size, crispy, great sauces and dry rub. I do prefer the naked (non-breaded) version of them but man those sauces and dry rubs. Even to-go, they don't get too weird or wet from the sauce, they are still juicy and crispy, I can't tell you after 20 minutes from pick up how they turn since I'm demolishing them before then. I don't write many reviews but this one just had to be expressed. If your rolling by Winnemucca or staying there for a bit, give Wingers a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I will start by saying I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. This review is really about the poor service and terrible attitude provided by the manager Carla. First her service was very slow. Second it took forever for the cheeseburgers we ordered to arrive. When they did arrive they were not cooked medium with a little pink, they were raw and all pink. Third when we were able to flag down an employee Carla still wouldn't come to our table. She stood off in the corner speaking to other employees and staring us down. Forth when she did finally come over instead of listening and caring about our issue she wanted to argue about what medium is. She is a poor excuse for for a manager and bring shame on the entire restaurant. We did not trust her to bring us new food as she still wanted to argue so we left. They have a great menu and craft cocktails. The prices are very reasonable and the food tasted great. Our server was a little odd and seemed slow but friendly none the less. The whiskey cocktails were $6 to $7 and that was a steal! I swear they were all doubles. They have a standard parking lot and a gravel lot for oversized vehicles as well. There is small slot machine casino attached and there is even a pool table inside the restaurant. Great for adult and kids, but unfortunately it's not dog friendly. Winger's is a new addition to the Winnemucca food scene. The first word of mouth rumors were, the service was terrible, but the food okay. That is my same conclusion after my first visit. I would say the kinks are still being worked out, mostly in the kitchen, the service is slow, but mostly because the food coming out is slow. So expect a long dinner if you come here. There is a casinos side, closed off with doors so the smoke doesn't carry over into the bar and restaurant side. The bar has some booths, some high top tables and stools all the way around the bar. I will say, it is kind of an odd feeling when you're in there. I don't know if its the openness that makes it awkward or what. But just a little off. There are some pool tables and I think darts in the bar side as well. The servers we had were nice and friendly, but the drinks took a bit to arrive as well. My fiancé, because he has been in town more, has come a handful of times, and has said that the food is still slow, but he loves the fish tacos here. I know odd, for a chicken wing place, but he is a big fan and that is all he has tried. When I came, I got a wingers steak and potatoes entrée. The steak was some sort of hunk of meat, not sure if sirloin or what, I imagine so as the price was not too bad, and there is a New York on the menu I believe. Anyways, the steak had a chemical taste, probably like from artifical smoke flavor or something, but a1 sauce helped. The mashed potatoes and gravy are really good though, and I normally don't care for white/light gravy. I also had some buttered carrots which also were not bad. I ordered a bloody mary and it was so-so. They have a big "chain" type menu with all sorts of stuff, so I will probably try some other drinks in the future. They have a nice selection of beers as well. Overall, we will be back and hopefully over time, the kitchen gets faster, but honestly is not a deal breaker for us. read more

Not a bad pit stop on a cross-Nevada jaunt. Working in Elko occasionally and living in Reno means you get hungry about Winnemucca on your drive. After driving through most of town and not finding much to tickle my fancy I jumped back on the freeway prepared to just press on to Elko when the last exit appeared and I saw a sign for Wingers. I popped in and was promptly served on my first visit. The BBQ wings were very saucy and quite good. They also bring a decent amount of ranch or blue cheese along with plenty of napkins and wet wipes. In and out in under 25 minutes on this visit was great. Second visit left me wanting more. Waited for quite a while to be seated in an empty restaurant and was sat at a very dirty unclean table. The mild wings were definitely a bit of a letdown. You know how there are the ugly wings usually left in a bucket of wings? That was what was mostly on the plate of 8. Waitress was also much less warm and friendly on this visit. Seems like it depends on the day what you get. None the less, still a handy little joint on those Nevada drives. read more

I am giving three stars because before when I had went the service was absolutely terrible. Ten minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant is ridiculous. And the attitude of the wait staff was not acceptable. I would have never gave them another chance, except for the fact I have been searing around town how good breakfast was. I went in again and it was a 360. Friendly, quick service. We were seated and ordered I got the pancakes. I am not the biggest fan of pancakes, but I was in the mood for them, so I ordered them and Oh MY GOSH! Best pancakes I have ever tasted, The outside was crunchy, but the inside was fluffy and creamy. They were oh so delicious. Plus we received our food relatively quickly. My dad got one of their scrambles, He loves it. And he got the hash because that is what our waitress recommended. He enjoyed that as well. As a fellow waitress I understand how stressful it may be while having a full restaurant but I do not believe that you should obtain a shallow persona. As we ate our food our waitress initiated a bitter attitude to not only us but her other tables. On top of having poor service the owner checked on the customers more than our own waitress, this was after it had taken approximately 45-55 minutes for our food. And to cover up her mistake of not putting one of our orders in she blamed the other waitresses for taking our order and took another 20 minutes to to bring it out if that were the case the other customers food would have been ready and would have been brought to our table on time. We are not usually the type to complain but due to the poor service and the wait for our food we felt that we should voice that we are very disappointed with our server Bertha. read more

Well the wife and I ordered take out from Wingers. I was able to find the menu on their website. We quickly figured out what we wanted and I phoned in my order. I walked over and picked up the order. When I arrived at our 5th wheel and looked over the order I was SHOCKED to see how little Mac and Cheese my wife's meal had, especially for $13. I ordered a burger for myself (should have been medium) after the first bite it was extremely rare. The flavor was good and I decided to eat it. I've been traveling daily all week and trying to eat different foods each day. This was going to be my Wings day. The waitress Karina was super attentive and friendly. She let me try three sauces first before I chose one for the world famous Wings meal. Go for the original - it's got a bit of kick and very well balanced. The wings were full of meat balanced with the breading. I probably could have gone for the meal with 12 - they were that good! The restaurant is clean and has large TVs to enjoy the big game. I eat here about once a month and love the food. I usually sit in the bar area and that's a hopping place any evening of the week. I've eaten in the restaurant a few times, but only about 20% of patrons dine on that side, so it's not as fun. I'm a lady who comes with another lady. You probably need to know that about 90% of the people dining are single men under 40. On more than one occasion my waitress has informed me that "someone in the bar" has offered to buy me a drink. Despite the male presence, it's never shady or weird. I've eaten many things on the menu and my favorite is the sticky finger dinner. They let you select a different sauce for each of your fingers (Wingerz doesn't permit this freedom)! The onion rings are yummy and the asphalt pie is amazing. The service is okay, pretty much the same lady all the time. If it's a busy night, you might end up waiting awhile for your check as she has her hands plenty full. I'll keep going back and am so glad I drove in the opposite direction of town to stumble across this yummy place. read more

Warning: Long read. This review is only directed at the Winnemucca, NV. location. My family and I visit this Wingers roughly 4 times a year when we come to Winnemucca and usually have a group of 12-15 people. I am currently working in Winnemucca for a month and this was my third visit this week. I took my family there while they were here visiting. Our waitress was great as always but when we received our food I questioned the size of the nachos (8-10 chips) that came with the WTF combo which is any 1 starter item combined with 4 wings & 4 chicken fingers for $16.50. They told me you only get a sample size of the starter which the menu clearly does not say that. I asked to speak with a manager because I was basically paying an additional $7 for a tiny plate of nachos. The manager (Rudy) argued that is the way corporate does it. I said it only says 1 of the above items on the combo, not a sample size, and that if corporate wanted it that way they would have printed that on the menu. I asked if I ordered just the nachos ($9) what would I get. He said a large plate of nachos, using his hands as reference. I told him that is what was expected and he should bring us that or we would leave and not pay for it. He said if I did he would call the cops. I then asked to speak to the owner, whom he referenced at one point and he said they would tell me the same. I again asked to speak to the owner so I could hear it straight from them. As we ate and waited for the owner, the manager came walking back to our table about 10 minutes later without the owner but with two police officers whom he had called. Luckily there were only two other tables with customers at 8:00 on a Saturday night but it was still embarrassing. The officers waited until the manager produced the bill and we paid it before they left. I was dumbfounded that it came to that. I'm a pretty forgiving person and we've had several issues here before, but the service has been great and most of the time the food has been good too. I introduced 5 new people to Wingers this week alone but never again in Winnemucca. Considering it's never busy in a town with hundreds of miners and located next to a man camp & RV Park speaks to a larger problem, management and ownership. read more
