New little Asian gem in Stony Plain. Family run, friendly staff, large portions, fresh food!…read more We love Thai food so we're pretty excited to find this spot on a recent trip to Stony Plain for hockey. The Spring Rolls and Chicken and vegetable stir fry were our two favourite dishes. The papaya salad was super fresh and SPICY AF (which we asked for)! We did find it to be more of an Asian inspired menu rather than a Thai spot as there were limited options / flavours (specifically looking for Thai dishes like Pad Se Ew, Sweet and Sour Stir Fry, Massaman curry, etc. ) We will most definitely hit up this spot again the next time we are in their neck of the woods to try out more of the menu. FYI to go containers are paper based and leaked by the time we got home - I'd suggest bringing Tupperware or ziploc containers if you have them available for leftovers.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit is a Texas style barbecue restaurant, with three locations in Edmonton and…read moreanother one in St. Albert. Dickey's serves meat such as chicken, Turkey, brisket and sausages. I ordered the burnt ends plate with two sides, including mac & cheese and coleslaw. The burnt ends can be taken on its own, or as a sandwich. The burnt ends are very flavourful, and mixed with homemade BBQ sauce. The mac & cheese was honestly full of flavour and very hot, it was absolutely delicious!! The coleslaw was quite amazing also. For available meals, meats can be eaten as sandwiches, or as a plate. One, two and three meat plates are also available. I'd like to point out that the meats are cooked and smoked on location. Combo meals, including the Picnic Pack and the Family Pack, are just two meal deals available at the restaurant. Kids size meals are also available. Sides include fries, poutines and baked potatoes, and desserts are sold at Dickey's. Service was very good, and the staff friendly, professional and knowledgeable about smoked barbecued meats!! I only visited Dickey's once, but I intend to return to try more of their foods, as I enjoy barbecue / smoked foods. Definitely a place to try if you enjoy also.
