I tried Wing Doozy for the first time today. I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. I couldn't find a picture of the sandwich online. I was expecting it to have a chicken patty. Instead, it has 2 flat tenders between the buns. It was difficult to pick up. The sauce was pretty good, and the seasoned fries were okay. The ranch dipping sauce is very watery but tastes okay. I discovered this place on Google maps when looking for a certain grocery store that sold what I wanted. As I was looking at the map, I noticed Wing Doozy. I love wings, so I decided lunch here was in order. I was greeted warmly, and they were quick to be ready for my order. Which I delayed by being indecisive, lol. After I placed my order, the employee told me about 10-15 minutes. I sat down at a table and waited. The food was brought out to me by two employees, instead of my being called up to retrieve it. I thought this was a nice touch since the place is smallish. I was also asked during my meal how it was, but unlike most restaurants, this gentleman talked to me like he was genuinely interested in my opinion. We chatted for a minute or so, and I finished what I could of my meal ( pretty large portions, so be careful what you order). All in all, it's a really great place for wings! We've been sampling wings at a number of places in the Grand Rapids area. Most have been good to very good but we have not encountered "excellent" or "great" until we visited Wing Doozy. (we ate here twice before reviewing just to insure the first visit wasn't a fluke) We ordered wings with lemon doozy and Tennessee bourbon (you can split sauces) along with onion rings. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table when ready. The wings were off the chart good. Loved both sauces which will make it difficult to try others on future visits. On our second visit, we asked for the wings to be cooked more crispy. They were even better that way. Onion rings were very good with tasty hand breading. On future visits I want to try the Nashville Chicken sandwich and chicken strips. Wing Doozy is a clear winner in our quest for great wings. read more

Have come here multiple occasions and they have amazing wings. They serve alcoholic drinks if you're hoping for a buzz during your meal. Ordered two wing combos..the 20 piece traditional and the 6 boneless combo. Side of tatotots to go along with it. Appetizer was more juicy than what it looked like and was delicious dipped in the doozy sauce. All of the wings were moist with the perfect amount of sauce except for the sweet honey BBQ...there was way too much on it and we had to wipe a lot of it off. An excellent job at atmoshere. The place feels larger than it is. Very bright. Lots of TVs. I ordered 8 traditional Honey BBQ wings. 8 boneless Asian Ginger wings. A doozy fry and a ranch dipper. The 8 honey bbq were Excellent. The wing was cooked perfectly and the sauce was better than bw3's honey bbq sauce. The 8 boneless asian ginger were good. The meat was cooked perfectly, it's very good quality, and a good size. The sauce was good but not great. That's on me though. I was thinking asian ginger was like asian zing and they aren't close. Zing is chili based while asian ginger is teriyaki based. My fault for not paying attension. On the sauce side they give you plenty of sauce on their wings. The doozy fries were good but nothing special. The service was ok to good. However they are still training so I forgive any problems. Overall 4 1/2 stars. If i find a 2nd sauce to love this may get boosted to 5. I thought it was better than BW3's which is my go to place. Will I be back. Oh heck yeah. read more

I'm from out of town and the worst part about going here is that I have to travel to have it again. Large portions of everything, great staff, and cooked perfectly. Barely any breading on the wings so you're actually eating delicious food. Staff was so nice, Robert, a cook, checked in on us and was great to talk with. 100% recommend! read more

This place is such a cute hidden gem. You go up to the cashier, order, and they deliver to your table. They offer alcoholic slushees, wine & beer as well. I ordered traditional wings (naked, sauces on side), and my fiancé ordered their chicken tender basket. The wings came tossed, and we were in a rush, so we asked to have them taken off the bill. The manager was so friendly. No problem. We shared the chicken tenders, and they were the best. So moist, and the perfect crunch. The manager stopped by a few minutes later apologizing, and asking if we are enjoying our meal (was a pleasant touch!!!). The reason I am giving them 4 stars is because we got 4 different sauces.. lemon pepper, honey bbq, bourbon bbq, and blue cheese. We only liked the honey bbq. The bourbon tasted like it wasn't fully cooked off, the blue cheese was not home made and not my favorite. The lemon pepper tasted like thickened water with lemon pepper seasoning. The staff was super nice. They HS students and I can appreciate any business that hires HS students. I did a 3 star as the food was not as good as the hype. The blackened wings were not good. The wing doozy dry rub was good. Fries were good. The mushrooms were really soggy. Portions of fries and mushrooms were huge. They could feed 3-4 people. Has anyone ever kept a secret from you? It can be painful. But sometimes the Lord reveals things to us only once he knows we are ready. I recently experienced this when I discovered that the Lord, with the help of my best friend Anna, had been holding out on Wing Doozy of Wyoming, MI, for the past 7 months of our incredible friendship. As painful as this was for me in the moment, I realize now that my mandatory patience only made the BBQ sauce all the sweeter. I had always prayed and known in my heart that a better boneless wing existed. One that wasn't just a lump of soggy fried dough. One that lived up to the reputation of it's bone-in counterpart. I am happy to report that my lifelong search has come to an end. A better boneless wing exists and, it's here, at Wing Doozy. Our cashier was an honest man. He informed us that there was functionally no difference between the two BBQ sauce options. Truly a man of integrity. Wheel of Fortune was playing on every single TV, making for a Saturday Night vibe that I can confidently say was second-to-none in the Greater Grand Rapids Metro Area. My instinct was to be upset that it wasn't revealed to me sooner. So much wasted time. But this is selfish thinking. This place has really gone downhill the past few years. I work in food service and retail so I understand the struggle and try to be as polite as possible but when explaining to the cashier that I would like to pay for my order cash first and the rest on card, she got very upset with me and didn't listen to what I was saying. As soon as I walked up to the counter she was in a bad mood and it doesn't really set the vibe right for dining in. I've been coming here for years and the food quality has decreased with the boneless wings becoming too tough/ inedible and they barely put any seasoning on the Doozy Heat fries. Also, try the corn nuggets. It's a different option you don't get everywhere else. It was a great simple meal. Last, you can have local beer that is on tap. The Wyoming location is new but for sure give it a try So my second visit was less not that great. I think the quality control was out the window. Haven't tried them all, but took a chance on the Tennessee Bourbon and I will not be getting anything else. The Tennessee Bourbon gets a 5 star rating alone. Now...I'm a huge shrimp fan. Their fried shrimp has the best crunch and isn't greasy! Squeeze some lemon over it, scoop up the cocktail sauce and be amazed. Finally, the Jimmy Fries are the best fries I've ever had. The seasoning is unmatched, and if you're a freak like me, drenching them in malt vinegar will bring tears of passionate love to your eyes. Worth the trip just for the Jimmy Fries. We had a large error on our prior order and came in today to receive our compensated order. This was supposedly written in a "book" to ensure we received some repayment for our poor experience. When we came in tonight and inquired about this, the girl appeared confused and looked in a notebook for our name but couldn't recover any information. This was fine, we told her to forget about it. She went and got her manager who was visibility irritated to be interrupted by this inconvenience. He ensured that he made us very uncomfortable with his SEVERAL eye rolls, short replies, and rudeness. We have been regularly visiting since the Wyoming location opened. The food in amazing 90% of the time. Sometimes the chicken just isn't right - maybe it's the way those pieces are cut or maybe it's the way they are cooked but occasionally they are subpar... the fries and tater tots are always great although the portion sizes are inconsistent. Counter service has definitely declined. The staff is becoming more and more unprofessional in their look and dress. The staff is always leaning on the counter - even while taking you order - if they are not leaning on the counter they have their backs to the doors chatting loudly amongst themselves... there are usually tables that need to be wiped down - time to lean is time to clean . And then the dress of those working.... short shorts on the girls and baggy shorts on the guys.... I realize they are working in an open kitchen area around hot fryers... but a good dress code is definitely needed. Overall - good food, decent service and reasonable prices - we will be back. read more

If I could give 0 I would. Never trust their wait times! This is my 5 time ordering and each time I've had to wait 30 min PAST the time they told me to come pickup.
