My bestie is obsessed with Fluevog shoes. She owns several dozen pairs, and she was really excited…read moreto make a side trip to visit the store during our Broadway weekend. This was my first time visiting, and I was primarily there to support/enable her shoe addiction! The displays were eye-catching and clean. We looked around the store, and she selected several pairs that she wanted to try on. For the next two hours, she received outstanding service as box after box was presented for her consideration--including items that were in her size but in such limited stock that they were no longer on the floor. (She ended up getting 10 pairs!!) While I can't say that all the Fluevog shoes are my cup of tea, there was a pair of liquid-smooth, glossy red pumps that kept calling me back throughout the visit, especially as I had brought my can't-miss-it red dress to NYC for Broadway Bares. I asked if I could try them on toward the end of the shoe-saga, and they were so powerful and sultry. However, were tight in the toe box, so my Fluevogologist (as I learned they are called), gently and precisely used a tool to provide just slightly more stretch to mold to my feet. She also gave me detailed care instructions, although she noted they were generally quite forgiving with storage and wear. Look, these shoes aren't cheap, but they also aren't "designer" in the way that they look pretty but will fall apart if you breathe on them too hard. They are hand-crafted and built to last. I've never owned shoes like this before, and while these certainly won't work for everyday footwear, it will be hard to miss them when I walk into a room! I appreciated the excellent service throughout the visit, and these shoes will now be the perfect finishing touch when I want to make a statement with an outfit!

There was moth damage in the collar and I was afraid we would have to chop the coat to get rid of the damage. They somehow were able to patch the collar and now it looks like a brand new coat! They took so much time making sure to explain all of my options and then when I went to pick it up, they made sure it fit me well and that I was happy with the results. Viktoria made sure to text me as soon as it was ready (and it was even finished earlier than expected). I will definitely be a customer for life!

It needed careful cleaning and proper care, and it turned out perfect. This time, I brought in another vintage piece: a very delicate veal sheepskin jacket designed by Giorgio Armani. It's an extremely refined and sophisticated garment, so it required expert handling. After my previous amazing experience at Viktoria's, I had no doubt about where to take it. The jacket was ready in just a few days and came back in beautiful condition. It feels, smells, and looks absolutely amazing -- truly restored to its best shape. If you ever need cleaning or care for any fur or leather garment, look no further. This is the place. Viktoria and Chris always incredibly welcoming, and it's always a delight to visit this boutique!

I asked if they are planning to reopen the back, where you used to be able to pick through shelves and shelves of floss plumes of every color of the rainbow. No, they won't come back, fair enough. But I could not manage to have even one of three salespeople help me price out a bulk discount for the feathers they have in stock, (which are now almost twice the price per feather btw). Or even help me look at colors. Hai's used to have the best salespeople, very outgoing and helpful. No more. So it's inventory day maybe?, but have at least one person actively working the floor. So, if you are looking for feathers (natural at a place called trim and feathers), Do what I did and find a bulk supplier online. There are several businesses that stock only feathers. No middleman.

The building is easy to miss if you're not careful, so look for the numbers closely. Take one of the elevators on the right side of the building as only they can access floors 12-20. This office is on the 17th floor of the building. When I walked in, Michael asked to see the pieces I wanted stamped and proceeded to show me the font types and sizes available. Within a few minutes, my accessories were on the heavy duty machine to be stamped! I was able to watch as they were being processed. Extremely delighted with the attention to detail, care and professionalism offered here. At only $25 for 3 letters, this is a steal for such a personalized service with immediate turn around time. The experts who work in the back on all the products deserve recognition for their craft. These experts are hard to find in this niche market so I am fortunate the company is still around. Although my purchases are generally small and I am not from retail/manufacturing, it is no wonder that businesses from all over the world would come to this place for all sorts of materials/products. Combined with impeccable customer service and quality winter fashion, this is a great business model for other companies to follow towards success. What I appreciate is the genuine customer warranty. Given that there are usually wear and tear and damages from yearsssss of use (at least for me it was that way), I was afforded many opportunities by Martine (given that there were more than one items bought!) to have had repairs. In the last yearsss, it was free. Today was $5 (pandemic and rising costs reasons) and that is okay! The point is to create sustainability and not have to rebuy every single year and replace with new items every time something is broken. Not to say their goods are not durable, but it is mainly that my stuff took a heavy beating and needed fixes on average about once every several years. Not bad since our east coast weather entails extenuating harsh climates and winter elements! Wishing Martin and the entire team continued success!

I received them almost immediately, in fantastic condition. Not only had they put a row of beautiful, but discretely invisible, buttons where I'd wanted them, but also added a second row in case I ever wanted to wear the coats a little looser. They'd done such a great job fixing the gash that I didn't even remember quite where it was. I fully recommend this place for its great customer service, reasonable prices and quality repair.
