My contracted amount of 1500 of OCD therapy was then attempted to be billed to my insurance for a grand total of 62000 of Residential Substance H203.... A much higher reimbursable code then the what the underlying care was OCD Skills and OCD Medication Management. Also, no provider ever diagnosed with my substance abuse, so by law no referral or billing could of been made. But, this provider did it anyways This provider had to create substantial documentation to refer and billed my OCD med management as residential substance. This provider has not only denied my hipaa request, but has refused to even send me his bills. Edit: To Provider Response : Oh, I am not saying you personally run a substance abuse facility. I am saying without my knowledge you made a recommendation for h2036 Residential Substance abuse and that recommendation was used to change my underlying care of OCD treatment contracted out at $1500 to $62000 of Substance abuse treatment . And there was CASH payment in connection to that referal for PART 2 Substance Abuse care. Yall refered to me a Substance abuse facilty and there was a cash payment transaction connected to that referal to a PART 2 facilty.

I have been seeing Dr Havens for the last month or so and I have to tell you that my experience…read morewith him is night and day compared to every other doctor I've had (he's my third over 10+ years). I was recommended to him by my therapist, and I see why. In the past, I've had a psychiatrist who had spoken to me for less than 15 minutes before prescribing me medication. The first session with Dr Havens is one hour long and I really appreciate that. He gets to know you and you communicate before he decides how to treat you. I'm not sure why that isn't standard operating procedure for every doctor. During that hour, I was surprised to find that he didn't immediately want to change all my medication and tell me to do something different. We spoke at length about the medication that I was on and how it was working. He suggested that, in the future, we should possibly talk about adding medications for ADHD and I agreed. He really spoke to me at a level that I understood, and I get the feeling he does this with all his patients. In addition to his excellent bedside manner and professional skills, he is very punctual. I know this sounds crazy to care about, but my last psychiatrist, who I saw for over two years, was consistently 45 minutes late and was an hour and 45 minutes late for the last session (I'm way too forgiving- I know). Dr Havens doesn't take insurance, and by not doing so, he is able to provide a level of care far superior to doctors who are chained to a clock in order to make enough money to stay in business. He is worth it, trust me. And, more importantly, YOU are worth it. I will try to update this review going forward, but I don't anticipate doing anything other than adding more words of praise. I finally feel like I'm with a doctor who has an excellent knowledge base, great bedside manner, and who actually cares to listen to and observe his patients to make sure they're getting the best care. I can't recommend him enough.

Not that that couldn't work, but 3 times the therapist I was assigned was supposed to reach out to me to schedule an appointment and forgot. During a grieving crisis, I reached out to my assigned NP for help. She would suggest an appointment time, I would take it, and then I would get a note that the slot had already been taken. This happened twice. It only took me 15 minutes to reply both times. "Debbie" was later supposed to call me to set up a virtual visit but never heard from her. Oh and they send you bills with the wrong address (an old address)to remit payments to. Those will get returned to you, not forwarded. No option for on-line billing. I started seeing Dr Bay following my open heart surgery when I realized I was suffering from post…read moreheart surgery depression. After the only in person visit he would see me virtually. I always found it unusual when one of his staff would contact me ahead of the visit collect my credit card info for my copay. Not once did they offer to bill my insurance. Regardless, his virtual appointments did almost nothing to help my depression. He only made one slight modification of my medication which hasnt helped. Finally, last week I was unexpectedly called out of town for business the day before my virtual appointment and didn't recall til early that morning in which I left a VM. His staff called stating that I would be assessed a no-show fee of $125. He stated this was the 2nd time it happened, which I distinctly recall happening but could have sworn I gave him notice ahead of time. When I objected they tried to book me later in the day, in which I told them I wouldn't be able to accommodate due to my business meetings. Sure enough at 340pm my phone chirped indicating he wasn't attempting to start a virtual appointment, which I unfortunately wasn't able to attend. Then two business days later his no-show bill (today) arrived to my house. What's particularly upsetting is that about 2 months ago my heart stopped while I was sleeping due to A.V block, a side effect of my open heart surgery. I underwent an emergency pacemaker surgery, which set me back in my depression. In my last session with Dr Bay we discussed this and how it impacted my overall mental well being. He knew that I was in a really difficult state of mind. He apparently was more concerned about my no-show and making sure he collected my $125. I will pay that because I signed his up front agreements saying I would. Well Dr Bay .... You won the battle, but you lost the war. Not only will I no longer see you, but I will let my cardiologist who referred me to you know of your unfortunate and aggressive policies.
