We know Tom from our home town of Temecula. When we found out that our paths were crossing in Napa, we contacted Tom, the owner of WINEormous to see if he was available to take us on a tour of the Napa Valley. As I mentioned, I know Tom and his reputation for not only being a local Temecula Wine Expert where he knows just about everyone affiliated with the Wine industry but is well traveled and apparently knows just about everyone in other wine regions as well. There is no doubt about it that Tom is a net-worker and those skills pay off to all who use his wine guide services and skills. Tom was an amazing tour guide and very pleasant to hang out with all day! He was extremely flexible as he allowed us to add on additional person on the tour that day even with a lunch! He picks you up and drops you off to so you always have a great DD too! The lunch was definitely worth what he provided usl! He provided us with the best freshest sandwiches, snacks and even made a special meal for our Gluten Free friend! I am in the wine industry and have been to many vineyards and tastings, but my friend had not. He took us to the best spots around that would give her a taste of the terroir. Tom is fantastic. He is prompt, friendly and acknowledgeable of the Temecula wineries. Walking into the Tasting Rooms with Tom you feel like a Rock Star. He knows the owners and staff at the wineries and gets preferential treatment. I even got the "Tom" discount when I purchased some items at one of the wineries. He even went above and beyond this past weekend. He was speaking with some of the other locals at one of the wineries we visited and learned that the last one on our list had day was going thru some Escrow issues and was running out of wine. Fun Day of Wine Tasting My Mother and I had the pleasure of taking a wine tour with Tom two weeks ago. This was our first wine tasting in Temecula. We had a lovely time and enjoyed some really good wines. Tom picked us up at our hotel, just as arranged. He was friendly and easygoing right from the start and proved to be a very knowledgeable guide to the Temecula wine scene. He customized the tour to our tastes and introduced us to some of the owners and winemakers along the way. We had some great conversations that day. We visited Hart, Lorimar, Bel Vino and Palumbo (where we had a nice, relaxed picnic lunch and enjoyed the view). After visiting the last winery, Tom drove us back to our hotel where we were quite ready to sit back and relax on the balcony. He doesn't even deserve the one star. Totally unprofessional. After driving 1-1/2 hrs from l.a. to meet tom at the barons market, me and my girlfriends were pretty excited to start our tour. There was tom in his van on a phone call but on time waiting for us. so i park my brand new car and we get in... he was cordial enough in the beginning and says he has our lunches and will be taking us to some of the valley's more unknown vineyards. Yay! Well he starts the van and it's doesn't turnover and he says with the worst acting ever. "UH OH, this has never happened before." BAD SIGN! With out even being nice or polite he says "pull up your and so i can jump start it. " no please nothing. BAD SIGN #2. I had a bad feeling... I didn't feel comfortable to do that with my week old car and my girlfriends and i are pretty much looking at each thinking we need to run. Tom than says "well if you don't let me jump start it, than we will have to wait another 45 min for AAA to get here." Uh hello! Is that our problem? He follows it up with "I guarantee you if we jump it will not happen again." Uh hello!?#2! Are you freakin serious is what i am now thinking to myself. So i asked (getting annoyed at this point, "How can you guarantee that your van won't die out again? You'll be asking get a jump at every location?? " Tom's response "I will leave the car on and not lock it..." BAD SIGN #3! Ok that was it... I looked my girlfriends and said we need to have a little conference and stepped outside. We all had the same feeling, that his attitude and unprofessionalism lost him his business... and even though it was my birthday weekend, i decided i'd rather drive from vineyard to vineyard than have to deal with Tom. We agreed to pay him for the lunch he bought us. So we go back to tell him what we've decided and he says the sandwiches were $10 a pop and says "Your loss." Honestly at that point we should have said take your sandwich and your lack of professionalism and stick it up your wineourmous $%^ but we didn't. To boot he says he is known by everyone in the valley. So what do we do, we ask at Calloway, then Long Shadows, Renzione... and 2 others vineyards and no one had heard of Tom or Wineourmous Tours. So BAD SIGN #4. There was one vineyard Doffo, who i didn't care for much since they had a member only seating area and the staff wasn't all that nice. Well guess what , they knew Tom. So there you have it. Honestly we did a little survey of Shuttle, tour drivers too and they all couldn't believe he would ask a customer to bring over there car for a jump! And they said his prices were over priced!! Well despite the rough start we had a blast! And the birthday celebration was a success but i would stay clear of Tom and Wineourmous! read more

Had an amazing time with Tom! We went wine tasting for my birthday and Tom made sure the whole day went perfect! One of the best parts about this tour is Tom picked us up from our hotel, drove us to the wineries and then dropped us back off at our hotel again. We did not have to worry about transportation at all. For a small price we added lunch to our tour. Tom provided snacks and sandwiches to have for lunch at whichever winery we chose to eat at. A girlfriend and I called Tom on a whim based on his website to set up a wine tour for the same day. He was professional and courteous, and set up a tour for 1pm that day. We met Tom in Temecula and had a absolute blast the rest of the afternoon. We wanted to steer clear of the larger, "tour bus" type wineries, and that's just what we did. At each of the three wineries we visited, Tom made sure we met the owners, really got to know the wine, and gave us great information about the area. His van is clean, comfortable and air conditioned, and by the end of the day he had gotten to know our preferences enough that was able to tell us exactly what wines we would like at the wineries (and we have very different tastes). After settling us into a table at a cafe at our drop off point, he made sure we were taken care of before taking off. We ended up meeting him out later at a gallery opening and wine tasting (because we had forgotten some belongings in the van), and he again offered us an invitation to come in and taste. A fantastic day, start to finish. I must say, if I had read the earlier reviews on this site, I would have been a little apprehensive, but we had nothing but a wonderful day with Tom and his company. My folks and I have wine toured a couple times in Temecula.. the first time we went on a jeep wine tour.. which was great.. don't get me wrong. However, our experience with Tom was much more quaint. Tom was determined to make sure we were satisfied with the entire wine tour experience... from making sure we were able to meet the actual winemakers of the vineyards we visited, to making sure that we were happy with the tastings themselves. My folks and I took our time at a couple of the wineries and Tom patiently waited, which was much appreciated. He never rushed us. He was very knowledgeable about the valley.. which wineries have the best wine and nicest owners opposed to the wineries that don't have as much to offer. He took us to smaller wineries.. the ma and pa places that the mainstream don't normally know about, and it was awesome. We highly recommend WINEormous and Tom! Had the pleasure of Tom's company for the better half's October Birthday. Shared the experience with good friend's for a Party of 5 minus 1, shout out to Neve Campbell and Matthew Fox wherever you are. Tom is definitely the man when it comes to Temecula Winery hidden easter eggs. The pace of his tour is just right as we were able to visit 5 spots or was it 4, hmmm blame it on the al al al al al alcohol! Hitting up hidden gems is tom's forte and it should be yours as well. Highlight for us was the Doffo Winery where we had the best damn Syrah in all of Temecula and dare I say California??? Tom brought his A game and is well versed in wineology 101 and the history of Temecula. Throw in a comfortable ride and pleasant demeanor and you have the makings of a perfect way to spend a lazy sunshine filled day in the city that offers beau coup vins and pechanga too. My husband and I enjoyed this tour for our 13th Wedding Anniversary. We enjoyed pours at Bel Vino the most, which was our first stop. Our server, Katy, took great care of us and took some fantastic pictures. Our second stop was Falkner, and we had great timing and were fortunate enough to meet one of the winemakers, George, and we took us for an impromptu tour of the faculty. We learned about the entire winemaking process from grape to bottle and it was fascinating! We also brought a picnic lunch and Tom was kind enough to provide some fresh strawberries to compliment our tastes! Our final stop was Lorimar and we had some great wines there as well. I would highly recommend this tour. Tom was very attentive, patient, and extremely knowledgable. He listened to our preferences and choose some great places to visit despite the fact that I like whites and my husband prefers reds. It was one of our best "dates" in 13 years of marriage. Absolutely the BEST wine tour we have ever gone on. Tom knows EVERYONE in the temecula wine scene. Every winery we visited knew him by name. At the Thornton Winery we were able to meet the head wine maker AND get a private tour guided by him and got to taste many cask samples. A truly unique experience seeing how the wines are blended and the different stages. The wines from Thornton are great! The same at Hart Winery.Tom picked us up at our hotel for no extra charge, had bottled water, very nice sandwiches and was great company on our tour for the day. My cousin and I did a wine tour with Tom this past Friday and he above and beyond exceed our expectations!! I had been to Temecula before, but my cousin hadn't. Upon picking us up from our hotel, he asked us some questions about our wine preferences, and decided upon our itinerary for the day. Upon entering each of the four wineries we visited, we were warmly greeted, as it was apparent that Tom had great personal and professional relationships with the folks at each of the wineries. It felt like we were getting the red carpet rolled out for us. Tom was quick to give us his "not to miss wines" when we asked him for suggestions. LET HIM PACK A LUNCH FOR YOU!!
