There was a stand in front for a radio station giveaway, and right inside a tasting for whiskey which I enjoyed and bought a bottle. The price competes well with the market, I know of a particular wine brand I want to try here. The cashier was fast and friendly. Everybody at the stands was friendly and patient. As far as wine stores go in South Jersey without a TOTAL WINE around this place really surprised me. Excellent selection of all types of Varietals and their price points are slightly better than other shops in the area. Staff was very helpful and nice while they do have a wine club that gets discounts on all of their wines. Since I don't lI've here any longer It doesn't pay for me to join, but the staff seeing I was from FLA gave me the discount anyway. Great selection, and prices my highest rating. read more

So what visit to NJ isn't complete without visiting the local packaged good store. We happen to br in this shopping center anyway and conveniently had a parking space out front. I went inside and this place is prepared for Summer as the Rose hits you as soon as you walk in thr door. Great variety of wines i got a nice Rose from France, a Proseco for the family and my favorite Conundrum by Caymus. Altbough on the Caymus I would have preferred a 2017 instead of thr 2016 you had left from last season. No worries it was fine I am sure if I go bacl the 2017 is now in stock. I went to the register to check out and the cashier put netting over the bottles so they would break on the car ride home. This chain must be big in NJ as I saw several other stores along the Jersey Shore. Would definitely return next visit. read more

I give them 5 stars for the employee's as everyone at the store is always so helpful, kind, and cheerful when you go in. The selection is terrific too versus a small store. Pricing has been overall good. I won't take away a star for the membership, however, I will say that the special prices you get under memberships should just be sale prices when they see fit. I can see the membership for wine tastings but I never do that. I join to save on my hunny's wine which is usually at least $4 less a bottle. Yes it pays for itself in the long run but loyalty is loyalty, why should we have to pay for that? I'm local. I Just recently went here for my 3rd time this summer. This is during the Corona Pandemic. Mid June.... shopped there, cashier lady wasn't using her mask properly. She had it over her mouth, but below her nose. Ok, mistakes happen and all of the guidelines still have to be ironed out. Mid July..... Shopped there. A totally different cashier lady wasn't wearing her mask properly. She had it over her mouth, but below her nose. This one seemed like a boss or manager. Again, I figure that $h!t happens. Mid August..... Gave it one last shot to shop there. Now I see BOTH of the women mentioned above NOT wearing their masks properly. Both have them covering their mouths, but BELOW their noses. WTF? Talked to a friend, who has had a similar experience at this place. Same women with masks below their noses. This is a busy, busy, busy place and there is no regard for proper protection? I'd rather pay a higher price at another place than take my chances with this place. I'm done! read more

I was tasked to put together a case of Italian reds for a family gathering. First tip-off was when I asked a worker for a vintage chart and they had no idea what I meant. Then someone else was called over and neither did they. WTF? So I pulled one up from the Web and began my task. Turns out there was not one bottle among the hundreds that was aged enough to be drinkable. And the few older bottles in the bins had fur on them. Went elsewhere. read more

I recently checked out the Wine Outlet on a Friday morning, and was very impressed. The store is located the same trip mall as Wall's Shop Rite, apparently some of Shop Rite coupons include coupons to the Wine Outlet. The parking lot is always crazy, but there are a few 15 minute customer only parking spots located right outside which are almost always open. The store is much bigger than I expected, and they have a great selection. I don't think they have the lowest pricing in the area, but you won't be over paying by much. The service is outstanding. While I was in the store for 15 minutes, I had three different staff members ask if I needed help. Check out was quick and easy, and they nicely packaged my bottles for me in a protective netting which was awesome. The wine outlet may become my go to alcohol store. read more

Some of the wines are so deeply discounted, I'm not sure how they can do it! My house Pinot Noir is only $16.99 compared to a competitor @ $24.99! I try stock up when I'm in the area. read more

Wine Outlet is a very average wine and spirits shop that we occasionally end up at purely due to proximity (as in, it's around the corner from my Mother-In-Law's home). Their location is good, but parking is a major bear between Lubrano's next door and Shop Rite (which is ALWAYS jumping). Their pricing is middle of the road at best, not quite as good as Joey Canal's, and they charge $10 to be a part of their "discount club". My major bone to pick with Wine Outlet is their customer service (or lack thereof). One cashier tells my MIL that she is good to reap the benefit of present (Christmas week) discounts until 1/5, at which point she'd need to purchase a $10 membership... another tells her no, she needs to buy that membership NOW. That second cashier, whose name escapes me, but who shows up on receipts as "cashier 071" (the lady with the short hair, for lack of a better description), has an ABYSMAL attitude, and is the main reason this review didn't scratch 3-star-territory. Here's how it went down: My MIL, with nothing but good intentions, purchased a number of bottles for our holiday gatherings. She purchased a mix of red and white wines. It turns out that we're all just red drinkers these days, so we had two sad bottles of white that were never going to be put to good use. My husband, helpful son that he is, took these two errant bottles back to the Wine Outlet, simply hoping to exchange them for red bottles of similar value (he would happily pay any difference, of course). He gets to the store and immediately encounters "cashier 071". He explains the dilemma, and is immediately met with a sour face and salty attitude. She more or less groans about it, but says she'll just give him a refund, but "It'll take a minute. I'm SURE you can understand THAT." I mean, here's a guy who walked in with a pleasant attitude, asked if he could complete a not at all out of the ordinary transaction, and this cashier proceeded to sass him for a good 15 minutes while executing a refund he didn't even request. I get that they get some snarky folks in there from time to time. I also get that the holidays can be stressful... but to be nasty to a customer just for the sake of being nasty? That's no way to earn repeat business. Convenience be damned, we won't likely be back at the Wine Outlet anytime soon... and they can keep their $10 discount card. read more

There was way more of a selection than what I expected! I enjoyed looking through the wine... it's crazy to realize how different selections are in different states. In other words, I couldn't find certain brands that I thought were popular across the states... but no big deal! I love trying new things. I wish that the store clerk was a bit more interactive. I asked him where certain wines were located and he quickly showed me, then walked away. I did want to ask him what was popular around here, but that's alright. The cashier was polite. I asked one of them if I could find Olive Garden's roscato there. He said no, but then was very curious about the wine, and we talked briefly. I asked for advice on a good Pinot Grigio and she told me I'd absolutely love the wine she suggested. It was actually one of the worse wines I've EVER had. I've never thrown out a bottle of wine, especially a 17 dollar bottle of wine but after two nights of trying to sip it, it then went in the trash. It was very harsh, almost tasted like whiskey and it gave me heartburn. It was HORRIBLE. As I don't know anything about alcohol I depend on advice. So, I won't be going back. read more

I go to the Manasquan store. Great selection of wine, good prices, and they get you in and out quickly. I keep forgetting to join their Wine Club ($10; have to register in-store), so I'm not yet sample from the store's humongous Wine Machine to learn more about new wines without springing for a whole bottle. Parking can be a challenge. It's in the huge plaza where World Class Shoprite of Wall is, and maneuvering around the parking lot is always a trip. But definitely worth a visit. And join the Wine Club! read more

They appear to have high rankings from most of their clientele so my situation must be an outlier. I placed an order for 8 bottles of an Australian wine. What was shipped to me were 8 bottles of an Italian wine. Though the error was entirely theirs and they could track that I had shipped the bottles back, they refused to refund my money until all the bottles were in their possession. Unfortunately, my disappointment didn't end there. Over the course of three weeks and multiple unanswered phone calls over the course of three weeks for my refund, I finally had to get my credit card company involved and dispute the charges. read more

The Wine Outlet is my "go to" liquor store..whenever I need to get beer, wine or liquor. They have a great selection and you can't beat the prices. The staff is extremely polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. I always have questions about different kinds of wines and i always get an educated answer from the staff. i've been frequenting wine outlet for many years now as a resident of a nearby town. it's in a very convenient location as it shares a large parking lot with a shop rite, so its extremely easy to kill two birds with one stone while there. the store itself is very large and the wine selection is fantastic for all price points and varietals, especially if you have their awesome club card for their seemingly endless discounted prices (i recommend getting one...it also gives you full access to their big wine tasting machine!). their staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable, and are more than willing to see if they're able to order a specific wine/liquor/beer if they don't have it in stock or carry it in the store. whenever i have a wine question, more often than not the stock guys are able to answer it right away, but if not they'll ask the store's wine director who is an absolute wine guru. wine outlet's online business can be a lifesaver at times as well; during the holiday season when the store is crowded, i'll order and pay for my wines on their website, then go to the store later on to pick them up while avoiding the lines! i also use their site often to ship bottles to friends in other states for birthdays and whatnot. definitely comes in handy. the liquor aisle at this store is fantastic as well, especially their whisky/bourbon/scotch section. the selection great, ranging from the everyday brands to the high end brands to the craft distilleries that are surprisingly excellent. the manager in charge of liquor section is always helpful if you're looking for something new to try or need a recommendation. he hasn't steered me wrong yet! the beer section is definitely growing as they're always adding more and more craft beer options, as well as carrying most of the great seasonal and limited release beers year round. read more

I used to give this place 5 stars and go all the time. This was my go to place for wine when i would go to dinner in point pleasant. The selection was great and staff very friendly. Back in March i bought into their wine outlet card which allows me to taste test up to ten different wines they have in the store. Great concept and i was very excited about it. I personally asked the kid who had me signed up for the card that if i forgot my card would i still be able to taste the wines. He told me not a problem and they can just look me up in the system. Sounded like a great deal to me and would allow me to explore different types of wines. Last Thursday (7/21) my girlfriend and myself went in to purchase wine and also taste test some wines. I recently switched my wallet and forgot my card. The lady who greeted us at the door wasn't friendly and rubbed me the wrong way. When i explained to her i didn't have my card on me but would like to taste test the wines she was extremely rude and basically came off like i for one didn't own the card and two was just trying to get some free samples. Instead of trying to work with me she was just extremely rude to me and flat out nasty. I explained to her that the kid who signed me up said they can look my info up but this lady said in a very nasty way that she can't do that. Then out of the goodness of her heart she was like "you can try one wine", but didn't say this in a nice way. At that point she can take the wine and shove it. I told her that she was flat out rude and i would never be returning to this store to purchase wine again. I never write reviews about anything and i have told numerous people to come to this liquor store when they are in point pleasant. As of last Thursday i will make sure i give this place a bad name for as long as its in business. If you want to go to a great liquor store with a better selection than this place, head down the street a half mile to spirits unlimited. Staff was very friendly and helpful. read more
