This is a great little local liquor store with great customer service. During the summer time I was super happy that they carried the "Not Your Fathers Root Beer and Vanilla Creme Ale" which are DELICIOUS. My first experience with Lavallette Liquors was when my cousin and I came in to buy alcohol. We had…read morejust arrived on a Saturday and were excited for a week on the beach. However, after paying for our alcohol, the owner - WITHOUT A MASK ON - asked the cashier to print out a copy of our receipt. Without asking us, he began to dig through the alcohol in our cart to make sure that we weren't stealing anything. At one point, when I mentioned to my cousin that we still needed to grab the ice that we paid for on the way out, he accused us of not paying for the ice and began to count our alcohol again. He claimed that we already had 8 items in our cart when my cousin politely tried to explain that we only had 7 (the 8th being the ice we still needed to grab). After checking our cart multiple times (throwing the cases back into our cart haphazardly), he finally realized that we were right and he told us he'd bring the ice to our car. The entire time his mask wasn't on. I felt too intimidated to ask him to put his mask on and overall just completely uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. This situation could have been handled so much more respectfully. Later that week we had a power outage and my dad ran out to get ice. Lavallette Liquors told my dad over the phone that they had ice but when he drove there they refused to sell him ice unless he bought alcohol. I am so disappointed with the service here. I'm writing this review in the hopes that the owner may re-evaluate how he runs his business.

This past time that I came here, there was someone offering samples inside of Iron Smoke Whiskey. I had a few samples, and when he said they were Veteran owned, I had to get 2 bottles. Super delicious Whiskey! I got the Maple Bacon and the Apple Pie, both killer flavors. I usually come here to get Tito's whenever my SiL has a party. I also personally come here for my Jaeger! They have all the flavors of Jager here, except Manifest... They have the Cold Brew as well as the Ginger one. Both delicious! A big pro of coming here is that they sell ice! I don't know how competitive the prices are, but they do have it! I am not a big wine person, but they have a crazy huge selection! Staff is always friendly, and the store is always super clean! I have other liquor stores in my area, that are a little closer, but I always drive the couple of extra miles to go to Baileys. I came upon Bell Liquors on the internet and spoke with Brenda. She was able to help me with the purchase and delivery and it seemed like I was the most important customer in the store (on the phone). There is always a sense of anxiety about ordering something 500 miles away and getting exactly what you want. Brenda was highly efficient and personable. She texted me my receipt in just a few minutes and let me know when the wine was delivered. I could not ask for better service. I have a lot of friends in that area of New Jersey and I will highly recommend Bell Liquors to them.
