I've been going there for more then 20 years. Never again ! I forgot my mask so I pulled my shirt over my face.Dina gave me a hard time and told me she would not serve me ( not the first or the second time she had something to say about something I did or said ) I spend at least..... $60.00 a week there. The best aspect of Pt. Pleasant that does not involve sand! They had a Wine Spectator Best Value wine from Italy at a good price that no one near me had in stock. Lackluster, best describes this beer and wine store in Point. Not well organized and limited selection of over priced wines. Unfortunately they do not honor their web based sales pricing which was a deal breaker for me on a nice bottle of Italian Nebbiolo I had picked out but left behind. While spending time at a friend's beach house, my friend and I wanted to start the party with some cold brews. We saw Gerard Wine and Spirits store and the staff was very friendly and they had a lot of wine and spirits in stock. The prices seem a little pricey though. All in all, its a cool store. read more

New owners, poor customer service. Ordered wine previously online with no problem. Started work for a new company and registered my new email online and received a free shipping coupon via email. Ordered 600.00 in wine for my boss as holiday gifts for clients and the coupon code took off the shipping. Checked my credit card statement and they charged for shipping saying that i had previously ordered from them and they would no longer stand by the free shipping offer...after the fact i might add. I told them the wine was for holiday gifts for the new company, not for me personally, and they could care less since i wasn't a "new" customer...even though it was for a brand new client. Terrible service and an unfriendly customer attitude. I ordered a case of wine from them. They refused to hold the delivery until I returned from vacation. Despite my repeated attempts to accept delivery - asking FedEx to hold shipment and also to deliver it to a neighbor - the shipment was returned. Then Gerald's refused to reship it without charging me twice for shipping. Ms. Horton was particularly rude and uncooperative. I will never order wine from them again and I would recommend that you do the same. read more

Gerard's is clean, organized, and holds a lovely variety of wine. I ordered the Oyster wine online. The transaction went so smoothly and it was so convenient that I didn't have to even leave my house! This wine is awesome because it rebuilds local oyster reefs!
