We did have charcuterie which helped bring out some notes in the wine but overall it was just ok at a high price point. Our server, Atlas was the high pint of our visit. There were so many fun, personal touches she sprinkled in throughout the day - from remembering to get us sparkling even when it was off menu, to having a personal note written on our tasting menu. She is also hilarious and fit right in with our strange sense of humor - hard to do with friends who have known each other for 20+ years! She also went out of her way to take incredible photos. We seriously could not stop talking about how amazing this was the entire rest of our trip. Thank you Niki!!

The selection of which wineries, we left up to Carmine, and he hit exactly what we were hoping to achieve. Finding some under the radar labels and learning more about willamette valley and the surrounding area. This time we tried out Christom, Brooks, Bethel Height, domaine Serene, Posessed wines and picked up a couple cases from Holloran. Our first winery was Bethel Heights, and was taken aback about how good this tasting flight was, especially the buttery tasting Chardonnay. A perfect way to start a cloudy but adventurous day. Brooks Winery - Lunch was exceptional, we tried the chicken and butternut Squash, also ended up loving their selection of Pinot's and Riesling's and immediately became a member after finding what we consider the perfect Riesling. In Salem we stopped by Christom and only positive things to say about the exceptional tasting we had. We added this winery to our growing membership list. I believe it was their Chardonnay, Pinot and price point that raised the bar for us.. In Dundee Hills we stopped by Domaine Serene which we already had a membership. We had brilliant time there and ended up buying more of their wines. Carmine also treated us to his personal brand possessed wines and it's a treat, beautiful flavor profiles, clean biodynamic winemaking. Of the bottles we tried his Somm Select Rose and Syrah were my favorites. Ended up coming back to the hotel last night putting on some Bee Gees and finishing up the bottle of cool climate Syrah.. When we get back to Honolulu, definitely going to dive into the other bottles and really explore the different offerings. Overall tour - cost is reasonable, especially for a private tour, and not having to worry about transportation and setting up the tastings. I have allot of favorite parts of the tour so hard to pick one. Best way to explain this is we're already planning for our next tour with Carmine and we really hope we could invite some friends to experience what we did.. this tour is the perfect romantic journey with your loved one, trying out the different wines and just having a great day but it can also be wonderful, educational experience and how good the wines, wineries and elevated experiences this tour offers.

The car was clean and comfortable. She picked us up right on time and oriented us to the region en route to the first stop. Of the three stops, Privé/Sealion was definitely my fave with a fantastic tasting room host and lots of delicious wines. We also stopped at Anacreon and Nicolas Jay- pretty patios and friendly staff at both, though I didn't love any of the wines enough to bring home. Anacreon offers a bistro menu if you need a snack but not many veg-friendly options. Unlike some of the other tour companies, they don't have a license to pick up in downtown Portland, so you'll need to pay to uber to a pick-up location ~20 minutes away. We had shared a list of wineries we hoped to visit and our wine preferences (sparkling!) but for some reason the company only booked us at one of the requested wineries and there was only one sparkling option at one of the stops. We also asked him to arrange for a tour at one of the stops- but that didn't happen either. Lunch is not included with this company, so you'll need to budget extra for that. Overall fine since our driver was so nice, but would go with the company we used last time when we visit again.

Over the hills, through the woods and up the hill you go. Sealionne just made it's mark this year…read moreas one of the best spots to go wine tasting in Oregon - definitely. The new location is perched on a hill with a sweet airstream and covered tasting patio. Google maps guided us onto a sketchy unpaved road so we almost aborted our mission to visit. I'm so thankful we kept going and found this sweet spot. Locals and visitors have to visit this place - now. Definitely go if you are searching for an awesome spot to relax and enjoy wine. The views are just breathtaking and hypotonic with the ever-changing clouds. This winery just moved into a top place on my list to take friends or tourists that plan to visit Oregon. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Tastings in 2024 are $20 a person, but comes with a million dollar view. The Pinot is delicious, definitely savor it - or take home a case of it - if money isn't an issue. Our server Kevin was engaging and knowledgeable. I will definitely visit again. The only disappointment was the port-a-potty restroom. Although extremely clean, it was really difficult to see while inside since it's situated under the portico behind the wine bins. Hopefully in the future, they can possibly develop a sustainable winery that has better facilities or get luxury loos. I also think this spot would be too cold to visit in the winter - November - February (since it's primarily an outside venue.)

Allen was an excellent communicator leading up to the tour and an overall excellent, knowledgeable…read moreguide. I asked him for boutique vineyard recommendations specifically to avoid seeing labels I could buy in the grocery or liquor store. He provided a list of 3 vineyards, aside from the one I was dead-set on visiting (Penner-Ash), suggesting 4 stops was more than enough. He was spot on. I was ready to tap out by the fourth and final stop. He suggested a 9:30 AM pick up from downtown Portland, accounting for about an hour drive to get to the first vineyard. He was right on time and picked up in a clean white Mercedez van. The first stop was Argyle, followed by De Ponte Cellars, followed by Brooks Winery for lunch, ending at Penner-Ash. Even though Argyle appeared to be a little commercial given its location on a fairly busy street rather than off the beaten path, the space and their sparkling wine provided for a good intro for the rest of the day. The other two vineyards he picked were exactly what I wanted. We were the only ones in De Ponte, except for the cat. And Brooks had a great food and wine menu for lunch, overlooking beautiful views. As for pricing, I was first taken aback by the $75/hour price point, but I got over it considering: - Allen's competition was charging about the same - Allen is your private driver for the day and waits for you in between stops - Uber is not practical or all that cheaper for something like this. The vineyards are too spread out, some of which are in no service areas, and I can guarantee an Uber driver wouldn't bring Allen's expertise to the table. Overall, I was very satisfied with this service and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wilammette Valley. The more people the merrier, however. The $75/cost is per hour, not per person.
