We asked if Bandit could be put down outside, amongst the beautiful outdoor setting of their animal hospital. Dr. Cornejo brought a warm blanket outside, held Bandit in her arms and spoke softly to her as she slowly passed. She truly made a very difficult day more bearable. Two years prior, Dr. Cornejo removed a cancerous tumor from Bandit's leg. She extended Bandit's life a couple years and took her pain away, two years later, in a most humane way. I thought it was unusual that a single entity veterinarian still existed ANYWHERE, so I made an appointment to see the doctor having seen several vets on this issue previously. My dog has a pre-existing problem for which he will require surgery. When I pulled up to the address, I was unsure where the veterinary clinic was located - it was completely unmarked. I made an assumption that it was what looked like a renovated garage or side property. The door was locked. I was on time, so I wasn't sure what was going on. I rang the doorbell. Still nothing. After a few minutes, a gentleman (I'll call him the judge - you'll see why in a minute) came out and asked if I had an appointment. I told him I did. He led me to a table on the side of he house to fill out paperwork. He asked me three times to sit down, and I told himi I didn't want to sit down. This seemed to be an issue for him. I filled out the forms at which point he informed me that it would be a few minutes wait. Finally they came to take my dog. Romeo, that's my dog, was taken inside and I was told I had to wait outside. I was shocked by this and not just a little uncomfortable that I was unable to stay with my dog for the visit which consisted of establishment of care and an exam relating to his pre-existing condition. I asked if it would be alright to wait in my car. The judge responded by saying, "why, are you cold?" Rude, I thought. Yes. I'm cold. It's 50 degrees outside, overcast and windy and you've provided no place for animal owners to be made comfortable. Eventually the judge and the vet came out with Romeo, and I was told that my best option was to go back to the shelter where I'd gotten Romeo and ask for their help. In other words, no meaningful advice whatsoever. I should note here that at NO POINT during the visit was I able to speak to the veterinarian without the judge being present.The vet told me what a sweet dog I have. I know this. I was looking for veterinary assistance. What I got was a vet with an agressive bodyguard. As the judge assisted me with processing payment, he shared with me that he'd been in law enforcement for many decades and was now retired and available to help his wife. He then informed me that he had served as a judge for some or all of those decades. The dimensions of his personality began to fall into place. The feeling I got from him was that I wasn't trusted, I wasn't welcome there, but they loved my dog. Duh. My dog is awesome. After some time I took my dog back to a vet I've done business with before. He gave me a quote to perform the necessary surgery that Romeo requires. The quote was for $2500. On a whim, I thought I'd forward the quote to Animal Kingdom to see if the numbers aligned with what they would charge. The next day I got a call from the judge. He asked me how I'd be paying. I said credit card. He seemed very put off by that answer. He said if I were paying in cash he might be able to reduce the price but since I'd be paying with credit card I was out of luck.The judge then told me I since I'd already seen another vet, I should go back to them at which point he swiftly ended the call. All in all, the vet seems nice. The judge is...not the best person to be an assistant/receptionist/whatever the hell he's supposed to be doing there. He doesn't have the personality for it. And not allowing owners inside with their animals is, to me, very offputting. I won't be going there again.

I couldn't believe the work he did on him with NO sedation and how down-right-cheerful my dog was to be there! He must be a dog whisperer. He called me later and took SO much of his time to explain everything to me. You can tell that he truly loves pets and treats them like beloved family members not just animals! When I picked him up the staff was super attentive and helped me practice giving him his medicine before I left - 5 star service for sure.

We were very nervous before the surgery, and the quotes from other local vet's offices seemed overpriced. We got on Napa Humane's list and were originally scheduled for July, but they received a cancellation and got us in three months early. This wound up being a blessing because it gave me less time to worry about all the things that could go wrong during the surgery. On the day of the surgery, the receptionist was neither warm nor welcoming, which honestly added to the anxiety I was already feeling. However, the vet was fabulous- she was extremely knowledgeable about dogs in general, my dog's breed, and the many health issues they are prone to and did a wonderful job comforting my dog and me. I left her there feeling confident that the surgery would go swimmingly and that she was in good hands. She was, and it did! Something to note is that they don't provide post-surgical collars, so get one beforehand. We wound up getting a soft, inflatable one for Matilda, which was much easier to deal with than the traditional plastic cone. Napa Humane is committed to helping pet owners be responsible, and spaying and neutering are a big part of that. They offer an income-eligible program to residents of Napa, Lake, and Solano counties whose income level qualifies them for spaying or neutering at a significantly reduced cost. I really appreciate the fact that they do that, even though we did not qualify. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking to get their pet spayed or neutered. They do a good job.

I looked here on Yelp, found a different pet sitter who at that time is fully booked so she recommended me to Happy Paws Pet Sitting, ran by Jennifer. She only does not do Pet Sitting but some mobile Pet Grooming too. I have two cats, a Nebelung and a Domestic Shorthair. Unfortunately these two girls play rough with each other all the time that I was concerned the older of the two are hurting the younger one with her long claws, so I was in a rush to have her nails trimmed. Thank goodness, Jennifer with the goodness of her heart, came over for a meet & greet and nail trimming the following day after my initial contact. What an angel! While I was away, i had a few tasks that I wasn't able to complete as I was in a rush (no surprises there). Tasks like: 1. I have cooked rice sitting in my rice cooker, and could start rotting before I come back from my trip 2. Bedroom door where my girls sleep didn't have door stopper, if it closes while either of them is in it, they won't be able to get to their litter boxes 3. My remote camera ran out of battery before it reached it's charging dock, so it had to be manually placed in the charger 4. Packages outside my door 5. ..some I can't remember Guess what? She happily took care of them all. I'm very happy to have found her. Even the shy one among my girls, liked her! That was unexpected but guess she just is like-able to humans and pets alike. And to top it all, she checked in with me the day after I returned to make sure I got back home safe. Highly recommended and will definitely contact her the next time I'm away. For being out of state, I did not have the most opportunity or fair advantage to meet vendors like a local would. This was a ball of nerves for our family as we never leave our dogs! I was able to find Cynthia and I am so glad we made our final choice with her services. Other companies would not get back to me promptly or "ghosted" me, and I felt like they didn't offer what I needed, which was the unique service of having a "wedding buddy", a one on one type of care. Other choices were basic kennel services or leaving my dog at someone's house which I was very hesitant. Additionally, most other services include other dogs involved in their care at once, which I already had hesitation since my dogs do not tend to get along with other fur friends. If you are nervous and have a list of questions, there is an initial pre chat with Cynthia which was more than an info session. We had a full blown detailed meet and greet virtually, and not only was I able to ask and learn, but she was also making sure we were the right fit for her services which I think shows how much a business owner cares about what they provide to their customers, but also caring enough to screen their customers to be a good fit for their business brand. This shows the quality aspect that the screening goes both ways which I cannot argue. Of course, with how friendly she is, we hit it off perfectly in our virtual video setting. I felt comfortable, had all my questions answered or concerns outlined, and I was fortunate to actually utilize her services earlier than my actual wedding due to a tasting months before. If possible, especially if you aren't local and if you care about your fur friends as much as we do, this is the best opportunity to test out and see how much care your dogs will receive. Once you get to the big day, it all becomes a huge blur and you don't want to be worrying about the dogs with everything going on. Cynthia 150% ensures that everything goes off without a hitch on the big day. For the tasting trip, we were assigned with one of her team members and you can just tell right away how kind they were as Cynthia also had promised to us. We agreed upon a meet up location without any issues, during the tasting we would even receive picture updates, and upon picking our dogs up, we received a summary of how things went. This was all very reassuring! Pricing and honesty is another huge component as prices are fair, which were recorded in "writing" via email when corresponding with Cynthia, there are no questions regarding any extra services if needed, with ample back and forth correspondence. Even when time was getting the best of me with all that we had going on with wedding planning, being busy with every day life and a rigorous work schedule, Cynthia always kept up to date from afar and was well informed each time we corresponded to be sure the dates were secured and logistics were squared away. For the wedding, Cynthia was part of the process the moment a schedule was laid out by our planner which she also requests in case you forget. She asked all of the right questions, provided suggestions to the wedding day logistics, and we would actively work together as a team to be sure we coordinated to fit everyone's needs for that day. We coordinated the meet up location, where she would be sitting to take the dogs during the ceremony, where to leave their stroller, what to do after the wedding, as well as safely transported them to our hotel room. Her details was very key as well in being right there to help during family pictures. Our dogs did not feel left out one bit with all the craziness that was going on and she knew how to calm them at their most anxious times, which my mom pointed out to me that she noticed the dogs were very calm around her and she has a special communication style with them. Amazing for never having met them! During the remainder of the evening, picture updates were also provided and my parents were very happy upon picking the dogs after the celebration! Whether wedding related or not, I would highly recommend Cynthia and her team. I believe you will feel right away from just a consultation what type of care you will be receiving. I recently moved to the area &…read morenoticed Bear my 8 year old Japanese Akita had a little lump/growth on his lower abdomen area. I wanted to find a place I could trust that wasn't overly priced. He's a very special dog, he does therapy work with kids & like any other dog owner I think our fur kids deserve the best care! A friend had taken his dog in for a lump there & had a good experience & said he knew of someone else who had good things to say about how they handled end of life care. We arrived & Bear went in happy wagging his tail ready to say hello to the staff. From the very first call booking the appointment I had a good feeling because they answered professionally, yet warm & friendly. We've had experiences where Bear got nervous & his legs would shake at a vet, but that was far from the case here! Even in the exam he was giving the Dr. kisses! The Dr. was nice & very thorough, he explained everything & answered all my questions-the entire staff was great, they did a test on the lump & gave him an allergy shot that he's had before & I know he doesn't like but he needed... he still left happy wagging his tail! The prices were fair & I didn't feel like they were trying to push things that weren't needed & I didn't feel overcharged. We're so thankful we found them & will definitely be back, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet!

Today it became clear that Kathy chose to intentionally withhold my dogs records due to a previous incident that I have written about in a previous yelp review. Today I took my dogs to a new vet and when I got there, the vets didn't have a copy of my dog records. So they asked me to give them the number to Animal Advocates and so I did and Kathy answered the phone and based on what my new vet said Kathy was very dismissive and very rude and told my new vet that she was too busy to send over my dogs records. As I stated before they were requested two days ago. Normally, I really wouldn't sweat two days, but my Spidey senses were telling me that there may or may not be an issue with Kathy based on our last interaction. Kathy is not the kind of employee you want to run your front office because she's not a good look for the business. Kathy forgets that she works for somebody. So her actions reflect on the doctor and he probably doesn't even know that his employee is acting in such a poor manner Thank God for yelp. Be aware when you go to Animal Advocates because they will turn on you in a heartbeat regardless of how long you have been a loyal customer. All I can say to Kathy is, do better boo.
