Nice afternoon in the country. The windmills all around added to the ambiance! Was not aware that there was a wind farm in the area. Sweet little room off to the side, imagine a cozy place to enjoy wine and music. read more

It had been almost 5 years since our last visit to Missouri and they are still earning my 5 star review! My husband and I love this place! So much fun! The wine varieties are off the chart unique (though they do have the traditional wines as well). From Peanut Butter & Jelly, Watermelon, Peaches & Cream, White Chocolate Strawberry, Sugar Plum and so many more!! Check out the photo of their tasting menu that I posted! Be sure to try the wine slushies!! They are amazing! We took home Watermelon, PB&J, BlackBerry Cobbler and Mango Chili Lime! Be sure to check this one out!!! read more

Windy Wine Co. During our brief stay in the KC area we had maybe 3 wineries on our list to visit and the Windy Wine Co was actually a late addition to that list only after finding out about their dinosaur wine labels! Let's talk about the wines. Wines: this winery sets themselves apart with their flavors and labels! Every wine we tasted was great and we ended up leaving with 3 different bottles. One interesting thing we found out here was that all their labels were created by a local artist and they are all adorable! Even if you didn't like the wine you'd want to buy a bottle for the label! Pictures below of the wines/labels we bought! Location: right in the middle of what seemed nowhere between what seemed like 100's of wind turbines thus their name. This location was surrounded by miles and miles of farmland! Service & Atmosphere: it was just us there and we were treated with a smile and great conversation about the wineries surroundings and of course the wines and wine labels. Food: N/A Best in Glass: Peanut Butter and Jelly Wine! Missouri MVP Member Final Verdict: Go and try out all of their unique wines especially the Peanut Butter and Jelly wine! We may have to order a case soon! :) read more

My wife and I stopped by for a tasting on a day touring the newly designated NW Missouri Wine Trail. This was our last stop. It's a very country place--which we liked. They have a nice little tasting room, with some trinkets for sale, and also frozen meat! So that was fun. It's clearly a working winery. We had a nice chat with the man working the bar, and a pleasant time visiting. We just... didn't really like the wine. Of the wines we tried, the Aronia Berry was the most interesting--and not bad in a taste test--but not something I could see myself drinking a whole glass or bottle of. Other than that, their Apple Wine was the closest I got to something I would buy a bottle of. We wanted to like the wines, since it was such a pleasant stop, but none of them tasted very good to us. They've been open less than a year, so we'll definitely give them time to develop their wines and try again. Your mileage may vary, of course, and their wines are available in a lot of grocery stores in the KC area if you don't want to make the trek out to the country. read more

Windy Wine Company - a sign for a winery - Wineries Near Me - Osborn, Missouri

I love small businesses and this place is a shining example of how to make it a success. Located on his family farm, the beautiful location welcomes you. It is called Windy Wine for a reason. The breeze seems constant and cooling in the warm summer. There is outside seating with shade. When you enter the building everyone is so nice. Grab a picnic basket with food and wine from this family farm. Cheese from the local dairy. Wine not your thing? They also brew beer here. But give the Peanut Butter and Jelly wine a try. Always wanted to try Mead, they have that too. read more

Went into Windy Wine for the second time today. Craig was working and was pleasant and friendly. I was happy to see that they had several new wines that were all very good. We sat, talked, and tried wine for a nice afternoon break. They also have meat to purchase, lattes, and soon will have a micro-brew as well. The Gingerbread Mead was a seasonal wine they had that had a lot of great spices and would be great warm as well. I'm excited to come back and see/taste their new wines as they come out! read more

Nice and cool for a warm spring day. They also raise and prepare their own Red Angus Beef! Grab a couple of steaks, a couple of bottles of Windy Wine, and have a lovely evening! read more

Fun wines to taste. Creative labels! Bought some to take home enjoy later. Tastings were very very small??? Just FYI

I went here for a painting snowman class with my family. It was my first visit. You get 6 samples before you pay $5 for the rest...totally worth it. With the painting class, you got a full glass of wine as well. I bought a cup because...well, that's what I do! I loved the decor, the atmosphere. The owner was friendly and patient. He even had a Black Friday special. My favorite wine was the Dark Chocolate Caramel...AMAZING!! read more

We stopped by on our way home to Iowa after a weekend trip to Missouri. We weren't greeted upon walking in, so we asked if we were able to do a tasting. The employee offered minimal guidance through their wine list and was uninterested in answering questions. She rushed us through the tasting (which costs $5 for 6 samples) and didn't offer to rinse glasses between samples. She all but grabbed our glasses as soon as we finished one sample to begin pouring the next. All in all, their wines are good and they have a broad range of flavors and some really unique flavors. However, the experience left much to be desired. We purchased 5 bottles between the 2 of us, but we won't be making a return in the future. read more

We started our own wine tour of Northwest Missouri wineries and called it the "Lewis & Clark" wine trail. This was our first stop, and it was very pleasant because Kasey Keesaman introduced us to different flavors of wine we have not tried before like Aronia Berry and Pumpkin. The Aronia Berry just had a wild flavor in it, something we were not ready for in wines. Maybe we'll try it again. The Pumpkin was very subtle, and we got a bottle just to try it with turkey or butternut squash pie. We liked the Good News Red and Campfire Mead as well. Interestingly, Kasey is also waiting for a brewing license so we tried some of his brews. His Ninja Breakfast (stout) was outstanding but not yet for sale. read more

I must say it was a very pleasant surprise over what I expected. I'm not a wine drinker and I found a couple that I thought were VERY GOOD! We went on a Saturday evening when they had a Duo out of Kansas City playing, the meal was VERY good and the entertainment was good, good enough that I would have thought there would have been a cover charge (there wasn't). The staff is pleasant and professional. They list on their Facebook page the menu for each Saturday. This will be a repeat for me, it's worth the drive! read more
