I called ahead before heading down here, "Do you have center cut tenderloin?", "Yes we have a lot". Well that was dumb of me for being not specific enough on what I'm trying to make. When I got there, I talked to one of the staff asking for the tenderloin. They proceed to show the center cut tenderloin which been cut to steak size. I explained that I'm planning to make Wellington, and that would not work. They went to the back, but couldn't find any, and told me it was sold out earlier. Then they talked about the other tenderloin cut, which twirled using string, they said I can use it but they wouldn't recommend it for Wellington as there is muscle which going to make it tough. I decided to just get the prosciutto, and another staff came to help me. They asked how much I need and what I'm making. Once they learned that I'm making Wellington, they dig around for the center cut and there was one left! Christmas is saved! Cost about $113.68 for 1.146 kg of center cut tenderloin, very good price!

When I drove 45 minutes to the shop I couldn't help notice that the small containers of duck fat (maybe 300 ml) were $28. That's a big difference from the advertised price ON THE WEBSITE. You wasted my time and my gas money.

Unfortunately, the customer service has consistently been way below expectations. Every time I call the store, the staff often sound impatient, unwilling to answer questions, and at times even sarcastic. The lady that's usually the cashier is really sweet though. When you are paying premium prices for high-quality beef, you also expect respectful and courteous service. It's a shame, because if the customer experience were better, I would gladly shop there even more often.

Grass fed and finished BC poultry, lamp, pork and beef, as well as deli meats, bacon, and other products. Pete bought property in Kelowna where he lives and he was doing a circular route building both suppliers and customers in Vancouver/Lower Mainland, Pemberton, and Kelowna areas. I live on the North Shore now but lived in Kits when I found Pete's and bought all our meat from them. Now I am having to find a new butcher who offers free range, grass fed and finished beef. I would have given Pete's 5 stars but, alas, they closed up recently and we are seeking a new supplier.

Hands down highest quality, best-tasting meat and charcuterie you can find in Vancouver. We moved…read morehere a year ago from California where the bar is set pretty high when it comes to pasture-raised meat. We nearly cried when we left our local farmers market and all the ranchers and amazing stands we used to frequent on a weekly basis. Finding Pasture To Plate was a godsend! We cook A LOT and care about where our food comes from. When I saw that P2P makes their own biodynamic fertilizer (biodynamic exceeds organic) to grow the grass that their animals feed on, I was over the moon. You can taste the quality and nutrition in the meat. We are into nose to tail eating, and P2P makes that easy for us. The staff is very helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. They always offer delicious samples of their charcuterie, cheeses, and other fun stuff like fire cider and fruit gelatin squares. Their wool blankets, socks, assortment of fancy mustard and olive oil make for great gifts, and we always bring company visiting from out of town to their restaurant on Denman Street. If you care about where your meat comes from, don't be fooled by places that simply claim "all-natural" or "non-medicated". These places typically rely on grain to fatten their cattle, using the same farming practices as large industrial farmers. It changes the fatty-acid profile of the meat and you end up with a much less healthy animal. Good meat costs more, but you either pay the rancher now or the doctor later!

And this Swiss farmer sausage was amazing. We had not anything like that before and we were hooked. It was meaty, savory and not too salty with just a touch of sweetness on the outside. So we knew had to come back to get more and get more we did. We had asked if they could cut for us and the lady said they didn't normally cut the sticks but the gentleman said they would do it for us. So I loved that they did it for us again especially bc we thought it was just something they did from our visit. I also purchased a couple of sticks of landjaeger and wished I had picked up a few more. Those were just as delicious if not more than the Swiss farmer sausage. The meat selection here is pretty good too. All the meats are fresh and beautiful.
