Lo and behold, about ten years later we wander in a few months after I got engaged to try on some dresses, just to get a sense of the styles I liked. I was honestly amazed with the quality and design of the dresses for the prices. The staff was sweet and accommodating, and did their best to make me feel special, which again surprised me for such a large chain store. I went to multiple boutique dress shops before and after my visit here, but nothing could top the mermaid gown with a plunging illusion neckline I had found. A few months later, after running into multiple issues with the online store and running the risk of not being able to find the dress, I contacted this store again. They were incredibly helpful and continuously accommodating - they found the floor gown I had originally tried on, held it for me, and even sold it at a discounted price due to a torn seam we'd discovered. Suffice to say, I found my wedding dress and I could not be happier!

I took a comforter and pillow shams in for dry cleaning during their $25.99 comforter special, which is typically offered every two to three months. However, after waiting nearly two weeks (May 21 through June 2), my items were returned in what appeared to be the same condition in which they were dropped off. During that 12-day period, I left two voicemail messages for the manager and never received a return call. I also spoke with three different representatives and was repeatedly told either, "It's being cleaned," or, "I will have the manager contact you." Unfortunately, neither resulted in any follow-up or resolution. When I picked up the comforter and pillow shams, they were still folded and packaged exactly as I had brought them in, inside the same plastic storage bag. To make matters worse, the items had an unpleasant odor resembling corn chips, which raised serious concerns about whether they had been cleaned at all. As a loyal customer, this experience was both frustrating and disappointing. Rather than making another call without resolution, I felt compelled to share my experience. I had been searching for the right alteration shop for quite some time. I brought in a pink suit jacket and matching pants that I wanted altered for a more modern look. I wanted the pants tapered and shortened to an ankle length, and I was very specific about the style I was trying to achieve. In the past, I've had alterations done where the hems weren't crisp or too much fabric was removed, leaving the garment looking obviously altered. This experience was completely different. She took the time to listen, understood exactly what I wanted, and delivered it perfectly. The finished suit looks as though it was designed and purchased that way from the start. The tailoring is clean, professional, and precise. If you're looking for someone who pays attention to detail and truly listens to her customers, I highly recommend Lily's Cleaners & Alterations.

In hind site, I should have just gone to Belk at SouthPark Mall, where I've had my boots repaired dozens of times. They also didn't have a lot of options that I expected. While the toe of my sole needed replacing, they only offered the entire sole. Having just the toe replaced is something that I've had done several times at different cobblers in at least three states. On a positive note, my boots came back faster than expected. They set an expectation of four weeks and they were ready after about 11 days. What I feel like should have been $60.00-75.00 (heal and leather toe of sole) ended up costing over $109.00.
