I made an appointment for this bridal shop. It was busy, but super cute! Customer service was top-tier! We were welcomed upon entry, greeted with a beverage offering, and shown to our space, where some selections were already pulled based on information collected setting the appointment. The dressing room was a comfortable space.  The stylist was great. She was very nice and ambitious. She listened to my wants and looked through their large selection to deliver. She even offered to let me browse as well, just in case I saw something that caught my eye. It's a large space with very pretty dresses.  I loved the experience there and left feeling really warm and optimistic. They have a cute rose wall too, which is a great photo opportunity. read more

This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever dealt with. While trying to coordinate a dress fitting with out of town guests ...my daughter paid for a package that included champagne. When we discovered we had two more people than the "allowed number of guests" we called and texted trying to work it out where all out of town guest could be included with no help from the staff. We were told that the number one concern was that the "stylist" who was assigned to my daughter would not be stressed out the day of the appointment. That is this companies number one concern. Then when asked about canceling the paid appointment we were told no refunds. This business apparently is NOT for the consumers comfort at all. It was clear. There is no way I would give a dime to a company that doesn't put the customer first. This was a huge disappointment for what was supposed to be a very special time. read more

The day I began shopping for a wedding dress, my mom flew in Chicago and we went to three places with Savvy being the last stop. The first was ok. The second place was super pushy, and Savvy made me feel like a bridal Goldilocks because their approach was just right. First of all, their selection is insane. So many stunning dresses led me to reworking what I had envisioned for the better. And the option for a custom dress? Wow. The staff is so helpful and they really give you the time you need without being pushy. They are great at helping you "see" what the dress will look like after alterations and just make the experience overall wonderful. I couldn't recommend them more! read more

If you are very small, I'm willing to bet the experience is better. In the savvy bride side, there's a flower wall for pictures, good lighting, champagne, cute robes that say "bride" on the back, several stations for try on. In the haute & co side (the "plus size" side) the walls are grey and there are none of those things and there is one try on area. We scheduled for both places because the bride was between sizes. When we arrived, we were told her "street size" was off and that her bridal size was 2 or more sizes up, so we had to go next door to haute & co. We were told we showed up late and the sales specialist was frustrated because we weren't going to get the "full experience" I went back and checked the chat and we weren't late. We scheduled for 11:30 and she said we were scheduled for 11. She told us to "please keep in mind that she has a 12:30 back *here*" (here was the skinny side). Luckily the bride is really low maintenance and didn't fuss but, all told it was laughable. If you want to make people feel special and included: make the experience the same. We have been laughing about how bad the experience was compared to our second location since we left. Emphasizing how low maintenance the bride is, the second location was where we found the dress after about 2.5 hours total including both spots. It was perfect, flattering, and in the same place as the skinny bride dresses. read more

I walked by Savvy at night during a private event and thought it looked cute from outside so I went back the next day to see what they offer. We walked in and stood there for a little. Everyone looked at us, but no one said anything. Eventually, I called out to someone and was told I could look online and she confirmed for me they do appointments (Note: anyone that can't explain their business to me in person and tells me to "google them" I AUTOMATICALLY question). The girl made me feel awkward for being there and inquiring about it. When I asked to briefly look around at the space (to see if it's worth doing a private event/layout/if there's a big selection because it doesn't look like it from the front) the employee gave me a weird look/response like I couldn't even lay eyes on the store without an appointment. I found it very off-putting. A lot of wedding industry people tend to act like snobs. As someone whose marketing and events for big companies it's NOT the way to go. I could've easily done what I came there to do without them noticing since they never asked why we were there yet when I was respectful by asking they made me feel weird. Why would I make an appointment and pay for something if I have no idea what you have to offer me? How do I know I even want to be there? I thought it would be my place and I wouldn't go to another store, but now I don't know. I didn't like the vibe at all from the person I spoke to. It tells me how they'll treat the experience and my guests - like snobs. Gave me the ick and not want an appointment let alone a private one‍. UPDATE: The owner responded and did not make excuses so although I did not get a good first impression, for that reason I am updating my review rating so it doesn't reflect poorly on their score. I agree the employee probably assumed I wanted to look through the dresses although I stated that was not the case. I understand the need for an appointment and would never take away from the other brides. I think what would make a difference is just explaining what you did in your message in person. All I wanted to know was exactly that (your business process/the experience your store offers) so I could see if it's for me as all bridal stores do things differently. Yes, I could've gone online, but I walked there in person to see the inside for a reason. In my experience as a bridesmaid, a lot of bridal company's are very rude to the bride and her bridal party once they receive your business and you're locked in. As the now future bride, I DONT want my family and friends experiencing that or being treated that way. Wedding planning is stressful enough. She really made the whole appointment feel like a celebration. She picked dresses in and out of my comfort zone and I actually ended up buying a dress that was out of my comfort zone but is beautiful. I found my dress! After 7 months of on-and-off searching all over Charlotte, Savvy Bride was finally the bridal shop that helped me find "the one!" Up to this point, I visited Winnie Couture, J Majors and Hayden Olivia Bridal multiple times. While these shops had beautiful options and wonderful staff, they wouldn't work with me on price when I kept falling in love with $3k+ dresses -- it seemed crazy to spend that much! I even traveled outside of Charlotte to outlets to try to find something beautiful but still affordable. About to give up on North Carolina and start traveling to other states, I made an apt at Savvy Bride because I heard their prices start at $1200. I was shocked on arrival how beautiful the shop was - just as nice as all the other "expensive" ones. We were offered champagne on arrival and we're assigned a bridal attendant, Marina, who was awesome. This was by far my absolute favorite selection of all the stores I've gone to. There were multiple dresses I could have happily gone home with - we had 4 finalists we all loved! There honestly wasn't one "bad" dress I put on. What I like about this place is that Nicole (store owner) hand selects the ones she adds to her shop, no strict partnerships with 1-3 designers, so there's dozens of different designers to chose from with plenty of variety. This also means that you're not forced to buy something that's "in season" or a dress you've already seen another girl wear on Instagram 6x. The store was filled with what looked like a hundred dresses you can either buy "off the rack" or samples you can order, just depends on what they're carrying. The ones "off the rack" are more affordable, and that's actually what I ended up purchasing. My dress has beautiful lace and sequence, intricate beading and a lengthy train - something you would think would be $3k but it was one of the least expensive ones I tried on! Buying off the rack means that you're getting something one of a kind, and even though I had plenty of time to order one, this was a value add to me to 1) take it home that day! and 2) save money on alterations as it will only require minimal work. Their dresses are ready-to-go, since you cannot order a new dress but can only do the alternation. Very suitable for brides who do not want to wait for months and months. Everyone I came in contact with at Savvy Bridal was very helpful & welcoming! First, they have SO many dresses to try on including my Mon Bijou dress which hasn't even been released online yet. My stylist was great & picked out a dress she thought I would like based off of what I liked/disliked about other dresses I tried on, and it ended up being the dress I will get married in! Not only did she help me pick a dress, she also helped provide calming advice and comedic relief when I was clearly uncomfortable showing off dresses and hearing reactions from family/friends. I absolutely loved my experience with savvy bride. Although I ultimately did not choose my wedding gown from savvy my associate and experience were top notch. This is the first bridal shop I went to and came with an open mind. The bridal suites are cute but I will say when more people show up and they get more full it does get loud and take away the experience your trying to have, but they do have a VIP option to rent the entire place out so that doesn't occur. They pull two rounds of dresses for you each with 6 dresses and I'm not sure if they allow brides to browse as well but my mom and future MIL browsed while I was changing and the associate was so sweet in allowing them to choose a couple for me to try on through the process. For inventory it seems like they have a larger section than a couple other boutiques I went to as well. They pulled my first round completely broad and from my likes and dislikes then curated a perfect second round of dresses for me. I ended up falling in love with two dresses and ultimately was going to return to buy one of the dresses when I ended up having my moment I never thought I would have an cried when trying on another dress at another boutique. What I loved was Sydney (sorry if spelled wrong, our stylist) she was honest, she wasn't pushy, she wanted want me in my dress not a dress. She helped me come and make my decision, but on my own. She was awesome! What I ended up with was exactly me and helped us stick with our budget. She was amazing, literally want her at my wedding. Everyone was so kind and wonderful without being fake (went to a bridal shop where everyone was overly complimentary and Oo you need this dress, get this dress, this is the one). Gave me ideas of how they will alter it, doubled bagged my dress because my fiancé would be with me (traveled to NC for personal reasons). Plus working with us to get something custom made! This place was amazing! It's the 5th bridal shop I've been to in the area and the experience was just perfect. Nicole spent 3 hours with me (and the 6 people I brought along) and offered us mimosas, waters, and champagne. She was very patient as I tried things on (some more than once) and as my friends kept bringing more dresses over. She did a great job finding dresses and accessories that fit my preferences, and even did my hair in a cute way so the veil would stay on! The shop carries off the rack dress options at a discount, which is a great way to get a beautiful dress within budget. They offer a 5 day waiting period with a deposit, a payment plan, and I was told that if I change my mind/get dress regret, I can exchange the dress before alterations. There was also a sign that said if you buy your dress there, they offer 10% off of accessories. The financial aspect of the shop was very appealing, and the options were seemingly limitless, but the customer service blew us away. I'd recommend this shop to anyone. I'm almost sad I bought my dress and don't have a reason to come back! P.S. - there was an adorable array of bridal temporary tattoos. I'm hoping my friends left some for everyone else. read more

This is like a used car place. You have 90 minutes to decide and if you don't know you have to give them $200 for them to hold it or just go. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. The girl who helped us was rude and to be honest the prices aren't that great. I could have gotten the same not off the rack dress from Poffie Girls for cheaper. Amazing!! I bought my dress today 3/25/19 and had a wonderful experience. I'm a street size 12 so i wasn't sure if I'd need a 14 or 16 in bridal dresses. Savvy's other store (just one building over), Haute & Co carries 16+ while Savvy goes up to 14. We started at Savvy and I needed to walk over to Haute & Co but i still tries on a few dresses at Savvy to get an idea of the silhouette I liked. Mycal helped me find my dress and he was awesome!! He was super helpful and friendly but not overbearing or pushy. The prices are also definitely right here! They have a nice selection as well. From the time I booked my appointment they let me know what safety precautions they'd taken since the COVID 19 outbreak, and I was the only bride in the boutique for my fitting. This is a beautiful shop with incredible options. You are given a 1 1/2 hour appointment time. The problem is if you hit your appointment time end, they are done and you are done. I had a fantastic experience with Avery at Savvy Bride. I am from out of town, but was visiting with friends for the weekend. We opted for the "champagne campaign" which was well laid out and a fun treat for my friends -- really made the whole thing feel like a fun and celebratory moment. Avery was SUPER helpful. We tried on countless dresses and she helped me narrow down what I was drawn to, what worked best for me, and importantly what I did not like. She was INCREDIBLY patient with my indecisiveness, and was kind enough to stay beyond my allotted appointment time. She was present enough to help guide the appointment, but not overbearing or pushing her personal views/preferences -- something I had experienced elsewhere before. This was the first bridal shop that my daughter and I had an appointment with. We were offered champagne, mimosas, or water when we first arrived. Since bridal sizing is approximately 2 sizes up, we need to walk across the parking lot to their sister store, Haute and Co (also owned by Savvy). Absolutely beautiful gowns! Some were available for order while most were off the rack. My daughter tried on several gowns to get a feel for the shape and style she wanted. She found her perfect gown and it is stunning with a very reasonable price tag. We were never pressured to purchase and were allowed plenty of time.
