But now a new owner has taken over and while he has spruced the store up and make it look really neat and attractive inside, the items the store stocks have changed dramatically. I would estimate that the store no longer carries about a fourth of the items I go in there to buy. Suddenly, it seems more like a convenience store than a real grocery store. Tons of junk food like french fries, desserts, sweet snacks, and fast food and less and less of real food. People who still actually cook meals find things missing when they run in for an item needed for a recipe. The frozen veggie section now is smaller with convenience food taking up the old space. It is as if the store is trying to make everyone in town fat and unhealthy. This is kind of a serious matter. I hate to have to drive a half hour to get to a healthier grocery store but we find that we have to more often now.
