The standard of work between the Aurora and Orland stores is pathetic. The groomsmen who got their suits just knew a tie was present, they had no idea it was the wrong colored tie. We didn't figure out they were wrong until the groomsmen were getting ready and my husband asked one of the guys if he brought his own tie... They clearly didn't care enough to check the suits thoroughly which they are literally paid to do.... Prior to the wrong colored ties we were already upset we had to make a second trip the day before our wedding to pick up our suit orders that needed to be fixed due to pants with holes in the pocket, stains on multiple white shirts (including the grooms) and one order sent without the vest... So multiple people in the party had make extra trips to the stores the two days before our wedding because nothing was right the first time. All they offered in return for their HUGE mistake was half the money back for the two suits they mismatched the ties.... And the lady saying "she wanted to cry for me". At this point we should have all our money back for the lack of attention and effort put into their business when this is such an important day for their paying customers. Moral of the story this business did not make our wedding day any less stressful than it already was and if anything gave us more problems and stress. Also, looking at this picture literally breaks my heart considering all of the time, effort and money that was put in this day ruined by their carelessness. Update: now they are using our photo I provided in this review as their main picture. Such a disrespect to a customer they completely let down. This is the type of business they are running. But see for yourself how they couldn't even get our order correct for our special day!

If you need to get alteration it will add some time as well. Overall, the presentation of the suit and the staff every time I've been here has been outstanding not nonetheless. But GLENN deserves special mention. A couple years after getting remarried my wife sat me down and we had a talk about my style. I also left a pair of pants for alterations after explaining the fit issues, but when I picked them up, barely anything had been changed and the original problems were still there. I eventually took the pants somewhere else, and the difference was obvious. The other tailor actually asked the right questions, looked at how the pants sat on my body, discussed what I wanted changed, and altered them based on my actual fit. That is what I expected from a store that advertises professional tailoring services. My experience here left me wondering how seriously they take customers who need anything beyond very basic alterations. Perhaps they are more comfortable handling straightforward occasion wear than actually dialing in the fit of a garment. The clothing selection itself is also nothing particularly special. It is largely a mishmash of mainstream labels similar to what you might find at a traditional department store. This seems like a perfectly adequate place for someone who rarely wears suits and needs something quickly for a wedding, interview, or other occasional event. But if you care about how your clothing actually fits and want thoughtful alterations, I would recommend taking your clothes to an experienced independent tailor instead.

I am getting married in a small court wedding, but still want a long wedding gown. I forgot that ladies name, but she was fabulous with me, super sweet, fully dressed me up in the dress and didn't leave any details behind. Dress was a lot more than I wanted to spend, but management worked with me to make it work for my budget, super sweet of them by the way. Dress obviously had to be altered since it was a sample gown and a couple things to fix. I was quoted a very good rate for my dress alterations that I couldn't say no to. However, upon coming in for my first appointment I was told a price that was 3-4X more for alterations, which everyone was surprised about the quote I received. I almost wonder if this affected my dress alterations in any way since I didn't pay as much as I should. Maybe this meant don't do a good job? Not sure- I was told there is going to be a button sewn on the back of the dress, so I don't have to carry it. I brought this up to the alterations lady and she said, "No, you can just carry it with the loop from the back of the dress".... Maybe she forgot to do this? Disappointed because I will have to buy another dress now to change into since I don't want to carry it all day long. The manager told me she would come in on the day I receive my altered dress to help me pick out a veil and because the alterations lady cancelled on me in the beginning due to being sick, this manager never knew the date of my new appointment and probably forgot or no one told her. Thank god I ordered one off of Amazon for $40 and it looks fabulous with lace. $100-700 for a veil in a crappy condition? Yeah no, not for a one day event. I honestly think the most disappointing thing with all of this is that I bought a case for my dress $20, so it don't get it DIRTY and the alterations lady literally dragged it on the FLOOR when giving me the dress to try on. She couldn't even present my dress in a professional way in the case I bought. I had this dress cleaned prior (my mistake) and now I look at it and it's dirty AGAIN and will have to send it out again and spend another couple hundred! I was so shocked and wanted to get out of there ASAP. But, she forgets to give me the case for my dress, so I have to ask her for it. She disappears in the back for 10-15min. Who knows what she was doing back there. Overall I was happy in the beginning that they found my dress, super sweet to me, but in the end after the purchase was made I wasn't treated as special as I wanted to have been treated. This is my special day and it seemed like the only person who actually cared was the lady who actually found me my perfect dress. P.S Some ladies who work here must really hate their work because attitude is all over their faces, no smiles, no excitement, and no passion for their work anymore. Disappointing because I have a higher budget for my wedding reception dress and I don't think I will be coming back here to make that purchase. I was told to come in again for the tiara. I asked the associate about coming in again for the tiara because I lived kind of far and let her know this. She did not mention to me that they were moving locations a WEEK later! I called a week later to say that I'd like to come in to pick up the tiara (they sold the last one), but then they added that they are moving locations to Lombard and are pretty much packed up. This was unprofessional from the beginning since they could have mentioned this and saved my time and commute! I then was made aware that I could order the tiara through the phone and have it shipped to me since I told the associate that I live even FURTHER from Lombard. The tiara was ordered and no comments were made about picking up the tiara in store. They put my address on the invoice and told me it would be shipped to me. They added a shipping fee to my transaction. I called for weeks for a status update, but no one would try to help. THEN, they told me that another shipping fee would be added in addition to ship it to my house, otherwise I would have to come in the store to pick up the tiara. Every associate that I spoke with on the phone was rude and would not relay the message to a manager! I've been calling and asking to speak with the manager for MONTHS! Two emails were sent, still waiting for a reply on the second one. The first email was sent mid-August and a reply was given a MONTH LATER! The manager still didn't address added charges, poor customer service, and all the other issues I've been inquiring about. I'm still waiting to hear back from the non-existent manager about all this, as well as the tiara that was told to ship out at the MOST 6 weeks. It's been well over 3 months now. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and sad that they are providing this kind of customer service to brides who are trying to enjoy this special time in their life! Gerry was kind to let my husband come into the store a couple of times to try on the rented pieces with other items he purchased to wear.
