    Beautiful

The BF and I attended a wedding here recently. It was absolutely beautiful. The moment we stepped in the door and that fountain captures your eyes and takes your breathe away. We were immediately offered glasses of champagne by the staff which were stacked in a pyramid. We hung out on the lower level enjoying ourselves for awhile, sitting on the comfy couches. When we made our way upstairs to 6, the room was beautifully decorated, very romanitc, intimate and classy. The views from the floor to ceiling windows were amazing. This is a great event space. It offered an outside balcony for the smokers, a huge bathroom that was clean for both genders. We enjoyed an open bar. A photo booth was provided for entertainment. The food was actually very good. The salad along with chicken marsala. It's just a classy space that can be transformed into anything you wish. They offer a free shuttle service to take you back to your vehicle, thank GOD because we had to go all the way back to The Hyatt where the wedding took place.

As a wedding coordinator, I get to work at Windows On Washington at least 3 times a year. Previous comments are true about the wedding coordinators you work with BEFORE the wedding - doing the planning of the floor plan, going over the menu etc. But they are not actually at the event. They type up all the details and an Event Captain handles it from there. Most other banquet centers are the same, but many coordinators are there at the BEGINNING to make sure the set-up is according to plan. But here's something funny. MOOD LIGHTING is a new trend right now and Windows on Washington is trying to take their existing lights and change the light bulbs to purple. This may sound nice, but this makes the space DARK. VERY VERY DARK. When guests get off the elevator, there is good lighting in the foyer area. This quickly goes away as you try to look for your name on the escort card table. Romantic is nice, but I want to be able to see my food! I feel they are still UNDERSTAFFED. When you pay for two bartenders, you don't want to see the Event Captain serving drinks. I had to go around and re-set the guest spaces. Silverware was not straight - maybe I am picky. All of the candles were out at this event, but I have had to be sure the cocktail hour food was put out on time and candles were lit on the tables for a previous event there. Windows on Washington is an excellent location for your corporate needs. My organization searched for a location to host a very important plated meal for our donors, as well as honor a prominent leader in the community . WoW offers three different floors that will suit any occasion. The 6th & 7th floors are smaller, and offer a more intimate setting. The eighth floor is larger, and is best for a more formal setting. It has a greater view of the sky line, a large bar in the back of the room, as well as side patios. We chose the chicken picatta meal with golden potatoes, and Tuscan vegetables for our guests, they really enjoyed it. The bar & service staff were very friendly and efficient. WoW has gated & lit parking that is free of charge to those who have reserved an event with them. Since it is two short blocks away (on 18th street) They provide a complimentary shuttle service for guests that will run from the lot to WoW during your event. The only reason this review received 4 out 5 stars is due to the fact that- if you arrive early to set up for your event, you will not be able to park in their lot and will need to find/pay for parking elsewhere until start time. This can be very inconvenient if not aware of this ahead of time if you are on a tight schedule. My experience with WoW was fantastic, they should be at the top of your list. (Ask for Hadley, she rocks!)

I could have gotten a hot breakfast but I was always in a hurry so I got the continental to go: coffee, fruit cup, vanilla yogurt and bagel your style. Your other choices include omelettes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, if you want the hot breakfast. However the hot breakfast does not include fruit, which I always prefer: cut up cantaloupe, pineapple, berries. It was great! I used my $10 food card for an ooey gooey butter cake. Paid $4 with tip since it was $12. Every evening, they serve the best ooey gooey cookies ever! free! Marriott also loaded a $25 gift card to my account that expired soon, so I went next door to the Marriott and spent it on two bottles of water, a seltzer and a fruit cup and paid $4 extra. They sure do charge a lot for water! I heard there is a grocery store Shnucks near by but I didn't have time to visit. The only thing was I stayed several nights but they did not clean the room or even change the towels after the first night. I was too busy and tired to care but hang up your towels!

I stayed there this past weekend for a volleyball tournament across the street. The location couldn't have been better. And the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. But thy were way understaffed, and it showed. The lobby smelled really bad. Like gross. Made me not want to hang out down there at all. One of the three elevators were out and as it was bus and they are small elevators you ended up waiting a lot. My room size was ok, but the tv didn't work, the phone didn't work, the safe didn't work, the room lighting was poor and the pillows were the worst quality pillows possible. I let them know the next day and they couldn't fix anything so they just moved me to a new room. But they don't help me at all and I had to move my own stuff at 9:30pm after a long day. In addition the valet was so slow it didn't make sense to use them. You'd literally wait 20 minutes for a car. They had in room coffee but it was gross and the water out of the sink tasted weird. I also asked for a slightly Kate checkout and they said no initially. I know they don't have people coming to the hotel for the week so it was surprising the couldn't give me an extra 30 mins. But I ended up bullying them into giving me the 30 mins. They did say my key might stop working and to just stop by the front desk a they would make me a new one. Not sure I'd stay here again even though they tried to make things right for me.

From the very beginning, I knew that with Christina and her attentive team that we would be in great hands. The venue (612North) is housed in the once estate of Henry Shaw (Missouri Botanical Gardens). The look and feel of this venue is very a very on-trend and chic-poured floor, exposed brick sort of gig. The killers are the very tall picture windows on three sides which view is the newly face-lifted Gateway Arch. It was very fun to hear the gasps as people caught the sights and realized they could "almost touch The Arch". 612North Catering: Foodstuffs are created by the talent behind Drunken Fish...yes, their bespoke sushi is available, but also many other flavors and textures that show Drunken Fish and associated companies to be au courant and very formidable in St. Louis party eats. Macaroni and Cheese with shards of bacon, hot sauce or other mix ins. Crispy pillowed pot-stickers dipped in salty-sweet ginger goodness. Most memorable for me was their Flatbread Board. Flatbread pieces topped with varied things creating the perfect finger food. Tops in my book was a mellow Bechamel and Caramelized Onion, Gruyere and Thyme melded perfectly on a tender crust. Items of course can be tailored for your needs and desires. Once the party was humming along there was nothing for me to worry about. A major plus. Working with Christina was a dream. Communication was open and responses immediate. A (patrolled) public parking lot is mere feet from the entrance so attendees need not worry. Coat check included. If you want a fun, hip gathering place, 612North is happening and it's happening in Downtown's Laclede's Landing. There is no doubt we will use again.

I asked for the manager. The district manager came out and did zero to make things right except for bring over a new booster chair he smiled in our faces and seemed like he could absolutely care less. We didn't hear from him for the rest of the time that we were there. We will never come back.
