Went there today to replaced 34 windows and few doors in my House. Guy at desk didnt have courtesy to say hello for 6-7bminutes of me walking and standing around waiting for him. When i asked him if anyone is available he said only him and he will be with me in few minutes. He had one customer in the entire showroom and acted like i was disturbing him. Pathetic customer service and why on earth would anyone want to give business to them especially when close to six figures. If you want to spend $5000 on a sliding door that takes months to be installed, breaks three days after installation, takes months to be repaired (after the LONE repair guy tries to cancel at the last minute), and then be falsely accused of owing money, WindowRama is the place for you. If you enjoy being lied to, and then screaming over the phone at uncaring, stupid employees, knock yourself out. If this is not your idea of a pleasant, professional experience, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! My husband and I needed a new screen door. We chose to go to WindowRama in Hartsdale. We spoke to the sales guy Mike and picked out a door. Mike was okay, but he comes off as a little cocky. While we were there, Rick the installer happened to be there as well. Rick doesn't directly work for WindowRama. We paid for the door and arranged with Rick to come to our house and measure. He didn't show up on the day he said he would. He came the next day, but never even called to say he'd be late (an hour). He was supposed to install the door the following Thursday. I texted him on Wednesday afternoon to confirm and he said he'd be there at 9:30am Thursday morning. He called the night before claiming he got his days mixed up and said he couldn't do it. I had an appointment on Friday so he promised to install it on Saturday. Early Saturday morning I had a family emergency and texted him ASAP. He didn't respond so I texted him again, no response. I called him, no answer. I texted him a third time, again no response. I called one more time and left a voicemail, which was also ignored. I eventually called WindowRama and spoke to Mike again. I explained what happened. No apology, bad attitude. He couldn't care less about the fact that Rick is a total unreliable flake. Mike's stupid solution was for me to get my own installer. I explained to him that I don't know anyone which was why I was calling him. I asked him to give me an installer on the WindowRama payroll, even if I had to pay more. He dismissed that, and said he would try to reach Rick. Mike took more than 24 hours to get back to me. By that time I had called the credit card company to dispute the charge. They advised me to not have any contact with WindowRama from that point. When Mike finally called back I ignored it. Buyer beware!! Mike is an arrogant jerk and Rick is (as I mentioned earlier) a complete and total flake!! They should both be fired!!! read more

Even one star is too high for this company... The most appalling customer service I have ever encountered. Large order was placed for windows and doors for an entire home renovation. Significant number of windows were ordered incorrectly, missing, and accessories were missing/not correct (handles, screens, etc). Repeated phone calls were never returned by service representative/manager. There was a complete lack of transparency throughout ninety percent of the process. Front door was initially ordered incorrectly in spite of clear direction by client and contractor. It was then redelivered damaged. Service rep advised turn around time would be one to two weeks. It has been in excess of two months and a faulty security front door remains on my home. the only thing protecting hands from glass is a thin plastic film that is even wearing off with time and weather. Company has made not one effort to accept responsibility for the numerous errors and no apologies/compensation was offered- order has been paid in full since windows were delivered with the understanding that correction would be made in a timely fashion. Dissatisfied does not even sum up how I feel about this company. To date I have never even received a receipt for the windows showing a breakdown of order/pricing (phone records/messages and emails prove there have been over ten request). Completely unacceptable to give the run around and be dishonest with the client. P.S. The only way to get a hold of my sales rep was to connect through the operator line for the store, otherwise she has dodged almost every call out of the numerous I have places. read more

Wish I could give this place no stars. We walked in worker told us to be patient he was with customer. We look around for a good 15 mins - he's done with customer and new people walk in totally disregarded us. We knew what we wanted and needed. This place is a disgrace. We ordered 80 inch doors and received 79 inch doors instead. We tried to return them and stopped in 2x and the person who sold them to us was on Paternity leave so they couldnt help us...HUH? We called headquarters 3x and no one responded. So we had to file a credit card reversal because Windowrama WOULD NOT RESPOND. They lied to the credit card company and said we signed off for the 79 inch doors, which we did not. "They do not accept returns or refunds", but what happens when the doors are the WRONG doors?! Stay away, you will just get screwed. read more

We are building a new house so had to select everything from windows, interior/exterior doors, hardware, etc. and Paul helped us get it all done efficiently without being overwhelmed at the options, which initially seemed daunting. I would give 0 stars if possible. WORST customer experience. Ordered a front door from this location and it has been nothing short of a horrendous experience. A door that was written in the contract to take 6-8 weeks to produce due to an expensive "custom order" was ready to ship in 1 day. They claim to make every door "custom" but clearly not since was ordered and then ready to ship out in 24 hrs hours. I've asked around to friends and the contractor and they all found it suspicious as the paint on the door would even take more time to dry. Then the door arrived damaged, with dents along the edge, not surprisingly. The delivery men told me it was the second damaged door of the day they had to return. They refuse to take responsibility for their work and management doesn't care about their customer satisfaction. Paul is rude to deal with and yelled at me over the phone. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews prior to making a purchase, but I was sure to mention to friends going under renovations with their homes to not deal with this company, as better options and price exit elsewhere without having to deal with such a horrible company. read more

I just had a door installed. It was defective and needed replacement. The salesman came to the house to write down the door number and told me he had sold thousands of these doors and never had a problem. He was rude -- never introduced himself -- refused to check out my issues with the door -- said it wasn't his department - said he'd have to send someone else. My wife and I bought a French sliding glass door and a picture frame window. Although when we received them they seemed fine after the installation was done we realized that the grills in the window were warped. We called for replacement grills and when we received them, almost 2 months later, they, too, were warped. We called our salesperson, Kara Brainard, and was told we'd have to wait 3 weeks for a technician just to look over the situation. Considering how long it took to first receive the windows, then the replacement grill and now this you'd think they would expedite the situation but now they won't even return our calls. The absolute WORST experience - buyer beware. I needed to repair my Andersen screen door and the sales person advised that I needed a new screen v a kit and as a new home owner, I didn't know any better. I waited 6 long weeks for door to arrive. They never contacted me when it arrived, it was only that I kept calling. When it was finally there, they tell you to use their handy man for installation. I reached out to this gentleman 6x with no response. I had to hire someone I found through nextdoor to pick up screen for me. They gave him a hard time and finally gave him the door. It was the wrong sized by at least a foot. How could you pay $500 for a door and they don't even come out to properly measure? They ordered the wrong door. Then to return it, I had to bring it back myself and they of course agreed to a refund since they ordered the incorrect item. And then I still had to chase them down for that refund 2 weeks later. An absolute nightmare experience start to finish. And I found someone else to simply repair using a generic screen kit that cost $25. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Have used Windowrama several times over the last years to replace sometime rotted frames of old windows, with antiquated opening mechanisms. As before, I found their type A windows to be delivered on time, in remarkable packaging, and to be everything I expected in window quality. In fact they make a few small changes every year, getting even better. One important facet is that they have a contract installer, Procision Co., who does an amazing job. Very competent, excellent cleanliness on the job, perfect installation. A bit expensive, as most good windows are, but worth every penny. read more

This is the absolutely worst place to do business. My wife and I ordered a French door from the kitchen to the deck and a sliding door from our office to the deck. When our contractor went to install the kitchen door he said the swing was backwards. Because it's a French door, there are two doors. One opens and one is stationary. They had it backwards. To add insult to injury, they blamed us. And because they already were paid in full, we couldn't just walk away. They charged us another $1,200.00 to fix their mistake. Then when the contractor went to install the office sliding doo, that door was backwards. It too opened from the wrong side. Thank God my contractor was able to go to Home Depot and change the track. That cost me $400.00 more dollars. WindowRama doesn't care. They didn't care to help or make it right. They blamed us. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. After speaking to other people, they too had similar experiences. There are much better, reputable places to do business with. You work hard for your money. Spend it wisely! read more

Ordered windows and doors for my living room, after 6 weeks the windows were scheduled to be installed,. The start of a horrible experience; I received a call the day before my appointment to reschedule the installation appointment, (mind you I had already scheduled for three vacation days from work- that I couldn't get back). Moving on, the following week the installers came and didn't follow the contract at all. It was repeatedly told to the sales guy, the owner, and son, and to the installers about water seeping from under the doorway, the windows were installed incorrectly, the doors were never aligned, the molding and water issue was never corrected, and at the very least the windows were never even cleaned! I received a call from the manager to set up an appointment the following day to finalize the last payment; after expressing my concerns he came back the following week and supposedly ordered the moldings, three weeks later he text me to schedule an appointment to install the moldings with no regard to the poor service/job we received. Luckily, I have a home camera system and it was recorded when the installers were having a conversation on how the windows weren't sitting correctly and how big of a window/weight it was to install. Furthermore, I hired someone to inspect the poor job performed by this company, come to find out the supporting wall was completely ruined due to the water seeping in. The entire door had to be removed and the frame reinforced before reinstalling the doors. Please save yourself the aggravation and look for another company with better reviews. Going with a cheaper company such as this one is never worth it. Pay-less now and you'll be paying much more later! I'll rate them below 1 star if I could, and hope to hear my case in court! read more

This place is horrible and I'm utterly disgusted with the way they handled themselves. I'm a construction worker (reviewing from my wife's account) and feel compelled to share the way I was treated by the staff and management at WindowRama. I went there to get a quote on windows and was transparent about the fact that I'd been looking around. I showed them the window the customer wanted and they offered me a comparable price so I'd go with them. I thought "done deal." Then, when I went to pick up the windows, to my surprise they were not the ones I ordered. The guy told me "well you signed for them", showing me pages of fine print that I didn't feel the need to read thoroughly as I thought the salesperson had some integrity (lesson learned). They then told me that the windows I had originally requested were almost $200 more than the price they offered me (to get the sale) which I never would have agreed to since I had already found them at Home Depot for cheaper. They then went on to try to accuse me of "misunderstanding" which again doesn't make sense because I hadn't even been looking at options, leaving little room for misunderstanding. They seemed to have been insinuating that since I'm Spanish I must have "misunderstood", which as a well versed, proficient user of the English language is insulting. It also made me wonder if they have a habit of profiting off customers who may present language barriers. Finally, these crooks went on to tell me their policy on custom windows that I was duped into buying was "no refunds." I have been in the business for many years and get most of my referrals because of the way I do business and word of mouth. Overall, my work ethic can be summarized in one word- respect. That; unfortunately, was not what I was shown at Windowrama. Their business philosophy is deceit, manipulation, and unfair play. They should be ashamed of themselves and don't deserve the business of honest people looking to receive a necessary product for a good price. The resolution ended up being my customer had to agree to windows she didn't want (otherwise she'd have to spend an additional $2500)and although she was given a $200 refund, at the end of the day their misleading led to a customer not getting what she really wanted. read more

ordered a Marvin sliding patio door 5/19/2016. Salesman said it would be delivered in 2 weeks. It came in dented and was sent back. I was then told a delivery date of 6/13/2016. I got my contractor and was in my house when I was told that the door would not be coming in and the salesman did not know when the door would be delivered. My contractor was left holding the bag an I had to pay him for his time. What kind of operation are they running there? I am still waiting to hear from my salesman. read more

I went to Windowrama to buy a front door and sidelights. The annoying sales person completely ignored what I told him I wanted (wood door), and tried to steer me toward products I clearly told him I didn't want (fiberglass). When I persisted in asking to discuss wood, he got very argumentative and almost mocking in his tone. In the end, he never called me with the quote for the product I requested, so I took my business to a place that actually wanted to sell me a door. read more
