Would not recommend. Did a poor job on a recent installation. Sales person never follows up!

Main Street Window + Door

Main Street Window + Door

This was my first time really running a project through Yelp. I reached out to a few window…read morecompanies. Chris from Main Street was quick to respond and we set up an on-site consult for later in the week. I knew which windows (4 of them) I wanted replaced since an Anderson Renewal guy had come out separately to inspect & provide a quote. Chris from Main Street was extremely kind, helpful, and upfront. I chose them ultimately because of this pleasant meeting, urgency for the replacement, and fair price. He was my only point of contact the whole job which was nice and he was on top of communicating things throughout the whole process. We also have siding being replaced so he communicated with my other contractor to coordinate timing. Pricing was very reasonable compared to Renewal but more expensive than a DIY vinyl install because of the window quality. I wanted a window that would last and was willing to pay more. The Anderson 100 series installed was literally half the cost of what Renewal had quoted me (I believe they quoted the 300 series) but are very high quality windows regardless and we really like them. There are some minor aesthetic defects from the manufacturing of the windows (pictured here) but they can be trimmed off very easily and aren't a concern. The installer Dre came in with Dan as support and they did a beautiful job. I had plenty of notice beforehand and they finished the job exactly as estimated (about 6 hours) after cleaning up very nicely. All in all, I thought Main Street Windows had a competitive price, I appreciated their recommendation for the product, they did a great job communicating, and the windows look great.

Well, let's just start by saying..Don't believe any promises on Start Dates. we signed the…read morecontract and gave the Salesman $12,000.00 (half) on 6/11/2025. Project was supposed to start on, or around 7/29/2025. we kept contacting them, and didn't get a reply. Finally, on 9/17/25, Ashley spoke with Installer, they were finishing a job, and would be out to start the following week..9/22/25. That day, the dumpster was dropped off and the material was delivered. The work was to be started on Tuesday 9/23/25...NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. I called Ashley, she contacted installer, and he said they were still finishing previous job, and they would be out to Start on Wednesday, well Wednesday came and went with another NO SHOW. THURSDAY, I called Ashley going on 10am because they weren't here yet., she called back at 11:30, telling me that the installer didn't have a crew. After she talked to the Installation Manager, he said he would be here on Friday with the Installer. Friday 9/29/25, came and again NO SHOW!!! I text Ashley at 10am, received a text back at 11:45, saying the Installation Manager (Chris) would be here Saturday. Maybe Chad, the installer also. 9/27/25 Saturday..Chris got here 8:45, Chad arrived around 10am, complaining about where we lived , it was a long drive from Flint where he lives. We live in Richmond Township. They worked till 5pm. Sunday, they Both came out and got the siding done on the Peaks of the house. They said they would be back on Monday to Prep for Stone Work. 9/29/25 Monday...NO SHOW, AGAIN 9/3025 Tuesday, Chris show up, Chad eventually came...they worked until about 2pm, then had to leave. 10/1/25 Wednesday, Chad came out at 10am, worked for 2 hrs, then told my Husband that he was 'Frustrated' , so he left. He never did return. Finally, by the Noon on Friday 10/3/25, the prep work was done. Ashley contacted the Stone Work installers, the were to start on Tuesday 10/7/25...Another NO SHOW 10/8/25 Wednesday..NO SHOW 10/9/25 Thursday, got here around noon 10/10/25 Friday.. NO SHOW Finally by the end of the day on Tuesday, 10/14/25, the job was Done! On Thursday 10/16/25 , my Husband gets an email with the Final Bill, requesting payment. They never came out and clean the Stone Work. They had to adjust the bill for Credit due to Us, for unused Materials, and they were expecting final payment without doing any of that. In the end, it took them 2 weeks before they adjusted the bill, and they never came back to clean the stone work. If it wasn't for Chris, the installation manager, it would not have gotten finished.. We give Chris a 10 star review, and everyone else 3 stars.

We hired them to do the siding, soffit, fascia, and gutters on our home, and from start to finish, their customer service was terrible. They consistently failed to return phone calls, which made communication extremely frustrating. When we asked for hard copies of our paperwork they continuously pushed us off. On top of that, they attempted to double charge me for the gutters even though I had already paid for them. That alone raised serious concerns about their professionalism and organization. The quality of the work is also mediocre. Less than 6 months later, the siding on the side of my house is badly warped. When I reached out about the issue, they made no real effort to fix it or stand behind their work when I called to speak to someone they put me through to the head manager and when I explained what happened to my siding he didn't show any concern but decided to laugh on the phone despite the significant amount of money I paid them, They told me to use a different contractor to replace all the messed up siding on my house but still continued to say that we had there quality and guarantee which meant nothing. What made things even worse is that after refusing to address the problems, they still tried to push me to leave them a positive review. That felt incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful given the situation. Overall, I am not impressed at all with this company. Poor communication, questionable billing practices, and subpar workmanship, and If you're looking for a reliable and honest company that does a great job and stands by there work C&L Ward is NOT it and I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Renewal by Andersen of Detroit

Renewal by Andersen was a great experience overall. Yes, the prices can be a bit on the high side,…read morebut you're getting quality service and quality materials, so it's absolutely worth it. After horrific struggles with Home Depot and Lowe's with multiple failed orders for two entry doors, we switched to Renewal to give them a try. Calling to schedule a consultation appointment was very simple. Within the next week, our Design Consultant Gerard came over and we had a lengthy discussion about our options for both doors and the process it'll take to accomplish the task. Like I said earlier, it costs a good amount of money, but with the current state of steel door backlogs and incompetence of "chain" stores, we just wanted this done. A couple weeks later we had the official measuring tech, Thomas, out to measure the exact dimensions of what we needed, as well as other accessories. A couple months went by while the door was being constructed (yes, sadly Renewal by Andersen cannot escape supply chain difficulties either), but that was okay because we had a good feeling that they'd be correct this time. We were patiently anticipating the outcome of this journey. We received our call of when the installation would be and had our fingers crossed that everything was correct. A man arrived to install both door, which was quite impressive that he was going to do both, all the side work required, as well as removal of the old doors. First thing was first, that I went out and made sure the doors would fit where they were supposed to go and luckily, they were perfect fits! He went through and installed both doors in a few hours, just before the storm hit! We were very impressed with the results (pictures attached) and it was well worth the wait. Bottom line, Renewal By Andersen is more expensive, but their quality, handling of service, and product selection is top of the line, so it's incredibly worth it! Each person through the process was incredibly friendly and the loan company that we were working with after to pay off our work, GreekSky, was simple and easy to use/navigate as well.

Instead of replacing all the windows around the house like all the window selling people are telling us, Rob offered to fix the windows for a much better pricing. We are so happy with the result we asked them to remodel our three bathrooms. Again, their quote was better than the other 8 companies we compared with. Their timing and flexibility was better as well! Throughout the process of bathroom remodeling, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. From picking tiles and helping us with the pickup (usually pretty expensive), to going out of their ways to seal cracks for us on the wall and hanging paintings for my mom. They even offered to walk my dog when they were working with us. They are excellent at what they do. See images for the before and after of the bathrooms. We love our 3 bathrooms now. They were able to accommodate everything we asked them too. Including changing old electric outlets, adding a shower in the guest bathroom, and switching the vent to a heated vent. They even helped to fix my kitchen sink that a plumber failed after trying for 3 days! They are also honest people. I did notice a cracked window and Rob immediately ordered a new one and covered the cost. So they do honor their warranty on their work. Overall, would highly recommend them for their excellent work, very fair pricing, and being such good nature people!
