Window Review Pure Energy Windows Company We purchased an existing condo 3 1/2 years ago. The condo had vinyl windows which leaked air and would frost up on the inside glass sometimes halfway up the window in the winter months. I would make sure the humidity was at the recommended setting in relationship to the outside temperature. That did not help in keeping the frost from forming on the inside glass. We also had a lot of cold air coming in. In the winter months, our rooms were always on the cool side. We just wore warmer clothing to be comfortable and turned the temperature higher. Our Consumers Energy bills were high because of these windows. In the summer, these windows did not keep the heat from the sun out. We would have to put the blinds down to keep the temperature in the house cooler. Our air conditioning ran a lot. We got a phone call from Pure Energy Window Company wanting to come and give us a price on new vinyl replacement windows. I have been in the building and construction business for over 50 years. I really was not impressed with any kind of vinyl windows. I always preferred a good wood window . I felt the quality was not as good compared to a good wood window. Anyway, we said come on over. My wife and I thought what would it hurt us to have them come over and hear what they had to say. We knew that our existing windows needed to be replaced. Since my wife and I are retired, we had the time to listen. They came with a sample vinyl window and told us all about how good they were compared to our existing windows. They explain things to us about triple pane insulated low E - Argon filled glass. The vinyl frames are the heaviest I have ever seen in a vinyl window. They come with a 50 year warranty that is transferable. We purchase them that day knowing we made the right choice. They came and installed the new vinyl windows. The window installers were very polite, very professional, they insulated around the windows, kept the work areas very neat, did a great job in putting the trim back and took the old windows with them so we did not have to dispose of the them. We have gone through a summer and a winter since the windows were put it. It has made a huge difference in the winter in keeping the cold air outside and keeping us warm inside. We had no frost on the windows. In the summer, we can now use our sunroom as these windows keep the sunrays from heating up that room. The low E - Argon filled glass in these windows did the job they are suppose to do. We waited to write a review because we wanted to go through the hot summer months and the cold winter months to really see if they would do what the company says they are to do. They did and we feel they are the best vinyl windows. We are saving on our energy bills. If you're reading this, you're looking for new windows. Let me save you some time and tell you what's going to happen if you call one of the "bigger name" companies in your area. A sales rep will come to your house, go through their catalogue, name a price, then offer you an array of deals that end THAT DAY in order to get you to sign on the spot. When you hesitate they'll make a call to corporate and knock another $1,000 off your windows but you have to make the deal right now. I know this because, after shopping around for windows, it happened to me all the time. The exception, as you may have guessed, was Pure Energy. They came out, gave us their best offer (which, in most cases, beat the competition), and said to get in touch if we wanted to deal. In the end, it was an easy choice. No pressure, no fuss. The other big draw for my fiancé and I was that the installation crew members were employees of the company. Other companies use contract workers who come and go, Pure Energy has their own crew who seemed just as appreciative of our business as the sales staff. Friendly and professional, they took a lot of time to cover our house in drop-cloths to protect our floors, furniture, and appliances. At first I dreaded the idea of having strangers trouncing all around and through my house, but Tommy, Gary, and Dave were very friendly. They worked quickly but with great care. When they were done they took the time to demo the windows and slider to show us all the features and took a very thorough lap around the house to make sure every tiny piece of debris was removed. In the end, we had beautiful new windows and not a trace that any construction had happened. Magic! The windows themselves are worth mentioning as well. Beautiful, custom made, and slick windows; these put our old windows to shame. The outside world is almost eerily silenced and the house stays much cooler for much longer without having to use the AC. With all the bells and whistles you've come to expect from modern windows, these have a bevy of features that make them safe and also easy to clean (inside and out). We are very glad that Dave from the installation crew took the time to show us how they work because these windows have so many different features. They are spectacular! Go ahead and call the other guys and see what I mean. Or skip the awkward, high-pressured negotiations and call Pure Energy. my husband had told me to wait until the whole job is finished before I start thanking and writing reviews. The installation was on a Monday and each Monday since I really want to THANK and write HIGH praise reviews!Thank you Thank you Thank you WE are SO HAPPY!!! We decided to change the size of the windows in our small home office so once those windows are finished and installed our whole house will have new windows. Our whole experience with Pure Energy Window company has been great. Every contact I've made with different departments have been met with competent professional service. Also all the Pure Energy Employees have been Covid-19 compliant. Our salesman went over everything and especially the difference between double and triple pane windows. We are so please we went with the triple pane windows the sound difference is remarkable. A real testament about the sound proofing properties; All the windows and doors were closed and we could hear a bird chirping. We wondered if it were sitting on the chimney and the sound was coming through our fireplace. No. It was upstairs around the corner in our home office, the old windows. It was such a difference I had to check if they were really closed! Our dogs are happy the fireworks noise is drastically reduced. Again once the office windows are made and installed our whole house will have new windows. It's such a spruce up in each room. Some of our old windows were very bad. Drafty condensation, some even grew mold. We had to have add on storm window inserts and still needed heavy velvet curtains in winter which we kept closed. A couple were even painted shut by the previous owner they were so bad. Back to the review of Pure Energy Window. Of course the most time spent is with the installers. I think they often keep the same group together. Ours were a great group of guys. Happy, friendly did a beautiful job and cleaned up before they left. What more could you ask for?! Zero stars. We ordered our 2 replacement windows in March, 2021 and were told installation wouldn't be until August, 2021. Ok, Aug. comes, no update, no call. My husband called, and was told there was a delay in getting the windows and install wouldn't be until October. We ended up stopping into the showroom and discussing our disappointment with Stacy and a manager. He told us he was able to expedite our order and get the windows by August 19th. They came in the following week and I only know this, because I called them, they never called me. So now we are looking forward to installation. Stacey did call me on Sept. 10th to set up install, which I totally missed the call and never saw the voicemail....she didn't call me back until Sept. 24th?????? Hello??? Customer service? Finally, installation was set up for October 15th (we were out of town until then). We moved furniture, took down all draperies, curtains and rods the night before, and my husband took the day off to be home. They were scheduled to arrive between 8-10am & at 9:30 am my husband called to check their eta. He was told that they could not install the windows today because it was raining. Never once through this whole ordeal were we told that installation may be postponed because of weather. And once again, they didn't call us to let us know, they just let my husband sit and wait, with no intentions of showing up or giving us a call. We are absolutally beside ourselves and so upset over this whole deal. I truthfully would just like to cancel this whole deal, get my deposit back and move on. Hands down by far the best window company in or around Metro Detroit. (I've used them all and all of my houses) Dont get ripped off by these overpriced, big name companies, which you're literally only paying for the name. Pure energy windows all come standard with triple pain low E it's no wonder they won window of the year nationwide in energy efficiency because after I had my windows installed with pure energy it literally cut my energy cost upwards of 25%. Pure Energy windows are a bit expensive but are definitely well worth it. I didn't realize. how much my old windows were leaking. until they were replaced by Energy Windows. I no longer have a breeze. though my home now. Plus I had a tint put on one window facing the road. What really surprised me was they said that they would come back to install mounting hardware for my shutters, honestly I didn't believe it but they did! I had Hanson Roofing Company tell me that they would come back and seal up a couple of spots to prevent leakage, they never did. Thay was in 2021. I ended up paying someone else. Adrian delivered everything as promised and his phone calls are promptly returned. The windows were delivered much earlier than expected. The installation was top notch and performed by a great team. Awesome Quality! I had new windows installed by Pure Energy in my living room, kitchen, and bedrooms back in 2015. The windows came in on schedule and they quickly called me to install them. The men who installed the windows were very friendly and they even vacuumed the carpet when they were done! They cleaned up all the scraps outside too. I am so pleased with how the job went. Great windows and door walls, we had 18 windows and two door walls installed, installers were great, owner/sales persons very perfessional. After six months from date of installation we have definitely reduced our heating cost and improved the comfort in our house. Poor company. They say they will deliver on a certain time. 3 months later still waiting on windows. Tried to cancelled because they did not fulfill their contract. Pure Energy Window Company installed 13 new windows into my home in Byron Center, MI. Last winter before my new windows were installed I had ice on the inside of almost all of my windows.
