He was polite, efficient, and most importantly NOT pushy. He did not down talk other companies, he simply did what he came to do, all the while with a smile on his face. Then we saw the quote and were shocked at how much less it was then we thought it would be. We were sold. Regardless of this pleasant experience, we went ahead and had two more quotes given to us. The companies were pushy and both tried to get us to sign a contract with them that day. They bad mouthed their competitors. They sent us mail trying to get us to sign with them for weeks. But what was most shocking was that their quotes were at least $1,000 more than NuSash for the same product and service. We choose NuSash without looking back. The day finally came for our windows to be installed. There were two men working on our house and we were told it would take two full days to complete (we have a total of 10 large windows). The men arrived on time, were curtious, and got right to work. They worked hard and did a great job. Because rain was in the forcast for the following day, once 5:30 rolled around, the men gave us the option of having them try to come back the next day to finish up or continuing to work that evening until the job was completed. We were thrilled that they were willing to do that for us and that our windows would all be installed before bedtime!! We ordered them some pizzas for dinner and they finished up the job that day. Not counting the lunch break they took, these two men worked on our home from 9:30am to 9:30pm; and the windows looked wonderful!! We were esactic, and three weeks later are still 100% satisfied with them!! The icing on the cake was when we woke up the next morning and went outside to see our new windows from the street. Not a single piece of trash had been left behind. No glass, no wood or siding pieces, no empty bottles of caulk. It was as though no one had ever been there; like the windows had simply replaced themselves!! This company not only has excellent products and services, but they have exceptionall professionalism and outstanding business practices. If you are looking to have work done on your home, may it be new windows or new siding, do yourself a favor and call NuSash. Then if you feel like it, waste your time and call some other companies too. Even though 30 day notice had been given to all occupants, one tenant was difficult to work with. Zen Windows provided via e-mail a 3 page flyer of what to expect so that I could print and deliver to occupants, along with dates of installation. Tenant is an artist/horder that had possessions stacked to ceiling in front of windows and only narrow paths to walk/access each room of the 1 bedroom apartment. Tenant also has bum leg and various ailments making situation even more difficult. When John informed us that our special order windows of bronze exterior/almond interior, would be arriving a week early; tenant still needed the additional time to prepare for installation. John's professional installers worked with us through this situation and completed all other windows in the building and returned the following week on Monday, April 20th to complete the job. Tenant had invalid or petty complaints throughout installation, even though the informational flyer that they had received clearly outlined what was occurring. Throughout the 2 to 3 hours it took to install the windows in the one bedroom unit, John's team of installers worked quickly and efficiently to please everyone. During the install a previous termite infestation that had been successfully treated by a prior owner was discovered. It was in the base wood of a window that is close to the ground in the lower or garden unit of the building. They called me in to look at the situation. It was decided to remove the damaged wood and confirm that there was no activity of pests. Once that was done, one of the installers left to get new replacement material. Within an hour they told me that $50 was the cost of the repair and that I may possibly have to have an outside repairman for the drywall, because they do not do drywall. As it turned out; they did everything with minimal damage to the drywall and all I had to do was a little touch up paint. No drywall repair was needed. Installers were on time. Picked up and cleaned all debris. Did not leave cigarette butts. Additionally, we had one small owners unit that is not a complete apartment, but just a sleeping room with a window unit air conditioner. We bought new pleated adjustable sizers that were to be placed and fitted on either side of the A/C unit and John's team reinstalled the A/C better than it was before. Just an amazing job. We are very pleased and have recommended Zen Windows to anyone we know that asks about the new windows or are contemplating new windows. For the one tenant it was like giving childbirth. For the rest of us it was easy while the installers did all the hard work. Now that is over, EVERYONE loves the new windows with no cloudiness and crystal clear views.

We chose them because 2 of our neighbors used them for siding with excellent results. Both houses look great. JCWSs' online reviews are good, their BBB file is excellent, I couldn't find any lawsuits through on the public record's website for Joco, and they offered a five-year workmanship warranty. Bill's pricing was also competitive. Our house is about 2000 square feet and we paid around $2k.They required no money upfront and payment in full when the project was completed. Bill's team did an excellent job and the installed system looks beautiful. They were reliable (e.g. showed up on time each day), were respectful of the property (e.g. no damage and cleaned up after themselves), and were always professional. Bill came by after the work was completed to inspect for quality and to collect payment. Bill and I found one tiny area that was missed due to the location being partially hidden, about 6 inches of the fascia. I didn't catch it until after the team had left the property. Bill's team was back out within just a few days to make sure the work was completed. It speaks volumes of a business owner that quickly resolves workmanship issues. I would definitely recommend Bill Christie to others and would hire JCSW again.

This company is nearly impossible to work with. We are currently doing a whole house renovation and…read moredoing all of the work ourselves. We were going to do the siding on our own as well, but decided that if we were going to hire out any part of the project, the siding was the one to do. We spent weeks reading through manuals from James Hardie, so when we decided to hire out the job, we knew exactly what to expect. Johnson County did a great job on selling us on their "quality product and application" but fell short on literally every other part of the job. Coming in at $33,000 they were the most expensive quote that we received for the job, but we felt confident that it would be worth the price. We hired them in early 2023 to do our siding, and after hitting some delays on our end, they completed the job in September 2023. We did everything in our power to communicate with them how things were progressing and when we would be ready for the siding install. During this 6 month gap between hiring them and job completion, they changed project managers 3 times and never communicated this to us. Install day arrived and the final project manager (Nicholas) assigned to the job had never even laid eyes on the project. This should have been a straightforward job for an "experienced" company like JOCO siding. This was not the case. We had issues with the install from day one. Nicholas was only present on site at the beginning of each day. He didnt actually manage the project. There was absolutely no effort made to assess the quality of work being done. The team was ill equipped and had to borrow staples, nails, and our nail gun for different parts of the project. As soon as the vapor barrier and trim was applied the flaws were evident. We had to hunt down Justin (owner) through Nicholas and tell him to cease work on the job until he would come out and look at the quality of work. When Justin and Nicholas arrived on site, we had to fight with them for them to see the mistakes the team had made. Trim had been applied without being shimmed level, vapor barrier had not been taped down around windows before trim was installed, flashing was not correctly applied, large gaps (1/2"+) were left that the team had filled with caulking, and flashing was missing in crucial spots on top of trim. Nicholas proceeded to tell us what we were pointing out to them was "bullsh*t" and we offered to show them another house that had recently gotten Hardie siding that did not have any of these issues. Justin had the team take down all of the trim and reapply it. This only fixed about 80% of the problem. The team installed siding planks that were either cracked, broken or had large gouges in them. Justin and Nicholas came out for the final walkthrough once the job was completed. Most of the issues with the planks we didnt notice until after the walkthrough, but some of the smaller mistakes we did notice we let slide. Justin told us that after all of the incidents with our house, the entire team had to be sent to be retrained...but did not offer to make right on the shoddy work they did for us. After winter passed, we noticed even more flaws in the siding. Corners have broken off of planks, planks that were cracked horizontally during install were filled with color matched caulk, poorly applied trim caulk was now peeling away from the house and multiple places on planks are scraped down through the paint. We have been trying to contact Johnson County since May of 2024 to get our siding repaired. Most emails and all phone calls go unanswered. The ones they do respond to are met with empty promises of "the team will be notified" and "we'll let you know when we can get you on the books". Johnson County uses a third party answering service so it is IMPOSSIBLE to actually get a hold of anyone in the offices. They promise a good warranty which is completely useless because you cannot actually get them to come make repairs to the siding. The only positive in this is the guys that did the gutters did a good job and were quick to fix a small issue we had.

About 2 months ago, we decided to replace our windows. They were wood, double hung, old, drafty,…read moreand had moisture intrusion issues. We narrowed down the choice between ProVia and Simonton. We contacted ProVia and found 3 certified installers in the area: Windura, Bordner, and Johnson County Window and Siding. Jeff and his son came to the residence to measure and quickly sent us a quote. After they left, I heavily researched the companies online reviews, their BBB report, and any potential prior lawsuits though Joco's website. The other two companies wanted to treat the current wood rot on the brick mould and then wrap with vinyl. We currently have EIFS siding, had hired an EIFS inspector prior to window shopping, and he advised us it wouldn't be a good idea to wrap. He said he sees brick mould that rots anyway due to sealant failure and that we would be taking too much of a risk for moisture intrusion if we wrapped. He recommended we hire Windura instead of the other 2 contractors because they were the only contractor that stated the brick mould needed to be replaced with PVC. PVC is compatible with EIFS installs. Wood is not. They were not the cheapest bid, but they certainly were not the highest. I was highly skeptical that the PVC brick mould would look good, but we took the advice of the inspector. We ordered ProVia Endure Vinyl for the upper two levels and Milgard sliders for the basement. We put 25% down, they ordered our windows, and we waited about 9 weeks for an install due to their schedule. I wasn't entirely happy with the wait but it was worth it. The Jeff's team arrived on time every day, were respectful of the property, were careful about not damaging the EIFS (I was surprised how little touch up work will need to be done), were professional, and were very helpful and friendly. They replaced 5 wooden window sills as well that had som wood rot issues due to not being installed to the EIFS properly and didn't charge us for it. And the PVC looks magnificent. Excellent carpentry work. . I would definitely recommend Windura. They warrantied their work for 3 years, the windows are warrantied for a lifetime and can transfer once to a different owner, and if there is a problem with the windows, they are authorized by ProVia to make repairs per the warranty agreement. One company we considered hiring tried to tell us they were the only certified ProVia installer in the area and that ProVia would send them out if we ever filed a claim with them because they are the only ones authorized to handle their warranty claims in the area. This claim was invalidated when I read ProVia's warranty and when I placed a call to ProVia to validate the contractor's claim. This other contractor also quoted us almost $8k higher for the same windows. . .I won't name names, but if you look up the other 2 companies that quoted for ProVia, you will find how I reviewed the contractor. Scathing. We will definitely use Windura again when we begin to replace our doors. I would definitely recommend them if you want competitive pricing, quality workmanship, and business reliability. You won't walk away regretting that you hired them.

The day of the appointment, the sales person was ill prepared making multiple trips to his vehicle for small items that he knew he would need. He was very aggressive in his sales approach, showing me things that I informed him I had already read or knew about windows. Once he gave me a price nearing $20,000 for 10 standard sized windows, he then came back with near half the price after I told him no. Being kind, I told him I would speak with my wife about the new price. He wrote up a financing agreement and proposal on paper rather than electronically. Then, he was upset and near indignant when I would not give him my SSN or sign without speaking to my wife. Ultimately, he left. Today, I received a call from the owner wanting my SSN and then was pushy with me telling him I would not be using the company. he became upset that I told him I felt the company was scamming people and why as well as pointed out the same concerns from others online. I told him goodbye and instructed that he not call me again and hung up. Not a minute later he called me again. I told him not to call me again and hung up. I then blocked his number and reported it as spam. NOT a company I would want to be associated with.

It was early December, he explained he would try. So after HOA approval letter we placed our deposit. It was January and there was a warm day forecasted, he called and the next day he had all the structure installed, no screen because he believed some weather a little warmer would help set the screening. Less than two weeks later he called and came to install the screening. It went quickly and he finished. Our porch was screened before Spring. He came under budget and got the credit off our bid. We are happy with his office staff who keep us informed and the owner that did a professional job from start to finish. I will always give him a called for my jobs.
