He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. We noticed over time that it was starting to get cloudy in the other two windows. Asking around, we found a few neighbors had one business do their windows and they liked them. Our experience with that business after the initial estimate was not at all similar. A few others had liked Newman, so we called them up. We had a estimate appointment with Russell and that went well, no hard sell and had an estimate given while he was here. He did not think we needed to do our sliding glass doors at this time as they were not looking bad or cloudy, yet. After we decided to move forward and paid a 10% deposit, Jacob, the project manager, came out to measure and he was very nice too. He said they were scheduling 4 to 6 weeks out from when our windows were received, so they would let us know. Within a week, they called to schedule and we had Eduardo and Miguel G come install our 3 windows. It was supposed to be 1/2 a day and they took a 1/2 day. They did a great install and were very nice and professional. They protected all our flooring. The left the areas spotless. The remainder of the price was paid right after install by phone with the installer still here. The only "bad" thing I can think of was the caulking around the windows took about a day to dry fully, but it was rather humid that week and there was a small difference between the old windows and the slimmer new ones, thus maybe a smidge more than usual amount of caulk. These new windows really made the views significantly better. Cannot wait until it gets hot or cold outside and these functional seals keep it nice inside.
