Don't even think about this company, they are high-pressure on the phone, imagine what their salesman will be like. I spoke with a person who's English was not her first language. They wanted both my wife and me present when they come for the estimate/sales pitch. Then she noticed in their database that there was another name for the owner and they needed that person their also. I explained that I just purchased the property and that the former owner has nothing to do with the property now. She then states that I must show proof of ownership when they come. Would not recommend..Had windows done around April of 2024 and immediately had to have someone back out to replace 4 because they would not lock..Now January of 2025 and one window has lost it seal. Was told by the salesperson that my small window in my kitchen over the sink wouldn't be smaller than the original but it was. I rate them 1 on any scale where 1 is the worst rating. I would rate them lower if I could. They are terrible. Their sales pitches are straight up lies. There is no quality control or even care about your order. They installed the wrong windows in the bathrooms (and had to reorder and replace them), a damaged glass pane and damaged screen in another room (still not fixed), and all 20 of the windows have had the corners of their lift bars cut, top and bottom, left and right, creating a rough amateurish edge that can scratch or potentially cut your hands (They won't even discuss it). And to make matters worse, they are not responding to any of my requests to address the issues they left behind. Check out my photos! By the way, I have reported this to window nation several times, by email and phone, including to their reviewers after the initial install and also to the sales man who claimed he would handle it, but the problems still exist and no one is trying to contact me to deal with it. They got 3rd party financing, so they got paid, so they are done and gone (and certainly don't care about how they left the customer). At this point they could not pay me to use them again. Window Nation is awful. They are very quick to tell you have great customer service but that's a lie. The manager, David Goldman, is the worst and decided to try and threaten me with having to contact the legal department while I was trying to decide to go through with the project. The salesman was super pushy and forced me to put down a deposit which I now cannot get back because they only give you three days to decide on whether or not you want to do the project. They tried to get me to take two separate loans to complete this project. Nothing was ordered and no loan documents were signed but they are refusing to give back my deposit because I took too long to cancel. When I do decide that it is the best time to get new windows there is absolutely no chance I will go through Window Nation. I am extremely disappointed. read more

It's interesting to see all of these ratings and how they coincide with mine! My fiancé and I are window shopping, and Window Nation was one of the companies we had come for a consultation. The salesman shows up and he's very friendly, but talked too fast. My fiancés father and mother cannot hear very well and his father mentioned that he couldn't, but the salesman continued to talk too fast. They have a deal going right now where it's like buy two windows, get two free. We have a total of 24 windows, and even with the veterans/seniors discount and a teacher discount, the total didn't sound right to me. To put a sign on our lawn, the salesman knocked off $1,000, but the discount for those three credentials only took off $300. That does NOT make sense. Our livelihood only amounts to a measly $300 discount, while putting a stupid sign to advertise their business immediately takes off $1,000? The salesman, as many customers on here have also noted, was very pushy. He told us that he would give us 15 minutes to discuss and he'll come back inside, and we said we need more time than that because we had other windows companies coming that week to compare and contrast. He still gave us 15 minutes and talked to his boss on the phone to lower the price. Get this- he wrote out a quote sheet and we didn't get to keep it! When we said AGAIN that we needed more time, he left without even looking at us and was very quick in his movements and answering us, even when we tried to make jokes and lighten the mood. We know this is how he makes a living, but that wasn't professional. No one wants to feel pressured to make such an important decision in 15 minutes, and his attitude was very childish. read more

The company would not truly listen to me as they continued to demand the name of my wife and saying they needed an hour which I truly do not have for an estimate purpose. They again demanded my wifes name and were so so locked into the script that they were not really hearing my requests. We finally arrived at a schedule visit for the estimate for five replacement windows. yet moments later that schedule was withdrawn and I was told a sales associate would call me later. Wow, this was a really bad experience, never even got them coming round to the house, I canceled due to questionable process and ethics. I saw the TV commercial and thought, ok what I have got to lose, so I filled out the web form. Received a call back pretty quickly, after introductory normal questions, then come some warning signs. First need you and your wife or anyone that make property decisions. I replied, no problem thats just me, then asked if I owned the property, I responded, yes, but technically the bank owns it. They then shocked me and said, well I'm looking at the public records and we see someone else on the deed, they would need to be there. Wow, just wow. Well unfortunately that other person as past, two years ago now. The the next shock, can you "prove" that, WTF, "yes I can but not to you, you're selling windows......" After some more uncomfortable question, and I explained I don't like pushy or hard sales people I will just asked them to leave. They insisted on one hour for the meeting, I thought hear we go up-sale, anyway this far along, I made an appointment. Explained I work from home and extremely busy, so i booked a lunch hour on my cal so that I was free to talk. Then over the next few days, countless follow up calls, I spoke to them once during a meeting, and said I'm very busy, but quickly confirmed the appointment. Still more calls, which I couldn't take as they always came in while I was on other more important work calls. I have an appointment I will talked to them at that time. About an hour before the appointment, I received another call and was free at the time so I took the call. The first thing they said was they needed to cancel todays appointment because the couldn't reach me. At that point I was done, said we had an appointment, I moved things around, rescheduled a bunch of meetings and did confirm with you. At that point I told them to cancel and remove my name from their system. Although they never made it to my home, they sounded just like what I didn't want high pressure sales. First off kudos to their Salesman who talks a big talk about how they are great and everyone else sucks. They will say they are the best in quality of the window, installing the window and customer service. So far 1 out of 3 applies. First let's talk the Salesman, they are pushy. Always playing the "sign today and you get this deal" which is complete hogwash. If you say no repeatedly they will keep lowering their prices so that initial price is way too high, this company brags about being so profitiable so they won't lose a dime on those reduced costs. Next comes the guy who measures your windows, easy to do so no complains there. Now comes the fun part, the installation crew. We had 11 windows ordered and only 2 man crew shows up, kinda weird because I had another company show up with 4 guys for 4 windows. Anyway, they show up and before they make sure they have the correct windows, they are ripping out the old windows. Notice how I mentioned they didn't ensure the windows they came are the correct ones? Well they arrived with 7 wrong windows. They had already ripped out the old ones before they realized they came with the wrong ones. To top it off, I could barely understand the guy telling me they are the wrong windows. I'm sorry but if your English is bad, then why are you working in a job where you are going to interact with customers? Once they realized the error we had to call customer service, weird because why didn't the installers call the company? After some back and forth with customer service, they put in another order to "rush" the correct windows to us. Installers put back the old windows and sealed them (poorly and the fact that the salesman talked big about their kind of sealent for their windows). Now we have the old windows which we cannot open and it is January so my heating bill will probably be more than what it usually is. As for the 4 windows that were correct, I just noticed one doesn't lock properly. You have to jimmy it to get it to lock properly because O noticed there was some fog spots in that window (Salesman talked big about how their windows are top quality, no outside gets in and installed correctly). AS of now we are waiting on the 7 windows they owe us and hopefully someone can take a look at the window that wasn't installed 100% correclty. I should note that some debris was still on our lawn (screws, springs, vinyly pieces, etc.) so it's a good thing I found them before I ruin my lawn mower blade. I also found a piece of the old window track on our garage roof, how did it get up there? Overall I would avoid Window Nation, they talk a big talk with not much to back it up. Maybe it was just my experience but after seeing much of the other reviews, I am not alone. Also, the salesman said he would stop by during the installation, that didn't happen. read more

I was scheduled for an installation of a bow window on September 15. I received a call the day before telling me that the window was not on the shipment for that week but would be on the next shipment the following week. I was assured that I would receive a call in a few days to confirm and have heard nothing since. I emailed them and called and nothing. They have had over 1k of my funds as a deposit and there seems to be no concern about moving forward with my installation. Truly unfortunate. read more

I would not recommend window nation, especially the Hartford branch. It took one week for a single window to be installed, and there was terrible customer service. A sub-contractor fell off my roof installing the window, thankfully he seemed to be ok after refusing ambulance transport (thankfully I have his unsafe working practices on video from cameras on my house). In the days following workers showed up unprepared with no materials to finish the job, and I was left with a unfinished window through multiple snow and rain events. The window was finally finished but I have, reservations that it was done correctly. There was supposed to be a window nation representative by the name of Bill from the Hartford branch who was supposed to come to my house 3 separate times for appointments, two times were last minute notifications that he would not be coming, and the third time was no call no show. Bill is slick and never put these appointments in the system, so when you call in regards to the appointment customer service blew me off many times saying that there was no appointment ever set up. I can't make this up. So, if you like wasting time, being blown off, unsafe working practices, and spending tens of thousands of dollars for terrible customer service then this is the company for you. My next steps will include contacting the local building inspector, OSHA for the unsafe working practices, and the BBB to try and get my concerns resolved. The point of this companies' sole existence is to provide the customer with a service. With phone numbers that lead to nowhere and no returned phone calls, I can only imagine what the service will be like when I have a warranty issue. Stay away. read more

My husband and I purchased 18 windows for the whole house. The windows were installed in April 2022. A latch broke on a dining room window in May 2022. We called customer service and were asked for a picture which we provided and were told we would hear from service within a few days. No one contacted us so we called again. The same story... they have record of our broken part and someone will call within the week. Again, nothing. So we called again. Same story. It is now September and no one has ever contacted us. The cost was $5800, half was paid at the time of order and the remainder was paid after the first installation attempt in June of 2022. He insisted that he want to put my groceries away and tell me about everything that they would do that never happen. I regret that I even do business with them because my old windows performs better than they windows. The day of the installation they came did everything in a hurry one of the frame and sash was bad so they had to come back with new ones. one of the screen got broke and the never even mention it until I found it. when they left my tissue on the roll in the bathroom was swinging as if it was outside because of all the air that was coming in. I called the Norwood office spoke with Mr. Brown it took months before I could get the last window install. There is no communication in that office every time you spoke to Brown and you tell him what you want he said yes but when the day comes it's the opposite. I took four installation persons and two consultant to get the last window installed. everytime they come with one part they forget the other part from the last person and everybody talks the previous person BAD. The sales representative told me that he would be there till the end that didn't happen because I told him about his misrepresentation he stop talking to me. Buyer Beware - Windows Nation is a con of a business they should be disgusted with themselves. The buy one get one free deal is a complete scam. The sales person made it seem like if we didn't sign that day, we would lose our "deal". No deal here, wish I had done more research. We paid $18k for 16 windows. After doing further research, we should have only paid half of that, if the buy one get one free offer is true. Windows Nation is deceitful in their sales technique. I dislike the feeling of wheel and deal for windows like a car dealership and that's exactly what the process we experienced is. I don't want to go back and forth on a "number", WN should be honest and provide upfront costs if they truly stand behind their product. I feel completely mislead; I don't blame the salesperson, he was polite and did his "presentation" but feel completely rip-offed on the cost. Windows Nation needs to be clear about pricing and allow people the time to digest their investment. Not make it a deal and sign the same day. Extremely disappointed on the car dealership feel on negotiating cost and will not be recommending WN based on that fact alone. Regarding financing, they sell your "contract" to a third party, which is not made clear during the presentation because they have you signing so many documents, it's a whirlwind. We were able to finance a portion through MassSave, but now the bank check is being disputed because per Mass Save, the bank needs to make it out to the owner and contractor, not the Finance Company, so another added frustration we now need to deal with. I will say the order came in on time and windows were installed per the time frame that was estimated. Note regarding the installation Team being "professional" is another mislead. White truck pulls up in yard with no decal or anything stating they are from Window Nation. Team was polite, but I would not describe them as "professionals". They had music blasting the entire install, could hear profanity while I was trying to work from home. I just let it be as I was already upset over the cost of the windows. One even left a jacket behind and we are still finding large pieces of wood (like 12"=) under baseboards, desks etc that was missed during final walk through/cleanup. I am happy with the windows, but feel swindled over the cost and am extremely disappointed that I allowed myself to be deceived by Windows Nation. Why not leave a message? Get on with customer service and I give her info and she keeps asking who my spouse was. I said I am making the decision my wife didn't need to be there. Insisted I provide my wife's info and want to come out at night. I kept saying my wife doesn't need to be there, but she keeps pushing. I finally say after 5 times saying my wife will not be involved, I said my wife is away for 2 months. An obvious lie, but nothing would stop this moron lady from insisting my wife has to be there. Poor customer service! Have been trying for 4 months to get in touch with manager "Dan" about cancellation of windows. When ever myself or my husband call we get put on hold and then after 10 min of holding we are disconnected! We have not received any response to our emails! We finally were able to get Dan's direct phone number. We still have not received any response after numerous phones calls and voicemail messages. Today, the company showed up to install the windows (that again we canceled because we sold the property!) The company told the new owners that the windows were paid in full!!!! Complete fraud! Thankfully the new owners told them to leave. As of right now, my husband is on the phone with the attorney generals office reporting the company and we are going to get prepared for a lawsuit. If only I had looked at yelp before using window nation. We replaced only our 2 child's rooms mainly for a sound problem. We asked for the best windows for our needs (to reduce outside noises that we were hearing in their rooms). Fast forward and now my childrens rooms are horrible noise wise. I hear everything..more than before. It is as if there aren't even windows. The amount of money that we paid for this request was outrageous for what we did not ask for. My children are now constantly crying and hate their rooms and are afraid of their rooms because of the noises that they now hear (that they didn't hear before). Even if these windows/installment were free of charge I would still not be happy and want them replaced asap because the purpose of these windows was to reduce the outside noise not make it louder and able to hear every single thing that is going on outside. I am so disappointed and so upset. No refund/no discount will even make this okay because this is not what I asked for. I have never felt scammed or lied to like this in my entire life. read more

I heard the Window Nation ad on the radio and called to see what they were about; we've been looking at replacing every window in our house (about 24, including a bay window) and a slider in our basement. Customer service was excellent from my first call; sales guy came by on the weekend, spent about an hour with us and absolutely blew us away with the price. We had a national installation company (one of the name brand big boys) in a year or two back and the Window Nation quote was less than half of what (rhymes with Sanderson) quoted. They gave us an estimated ship date for our product and said installation would be scheduled once our windows came in and were quality checked. I received an email alerting me that our estimated shipping date had passed (no biggie) and that the process would be delayed a bit. I reached out a week later, spoke to another extremely nice customer service rep who got right on it, found that the last piece of the puzzle (our slider) had arrived at the facility yesterday, apologized for the delay, and told me an installation rep would be calling by end of day to schedule installation. He called me within a half hour (again, extremely nice and helpful) and scheduled the install for a week from today (2/4/21). I could not be happier with the price or process so far, and highly recommend having a conversation with them - you'll be shocked at the price point, especially if you've had other companies come in for quotes. And the window products themselves - in addition to being near top-of-the-line, every window comes with a flexible black screen that is incredible - easy in and easy out, no more dented aluminum screen frames that only fit into one window in the house. Previous reviewers seem stuck on the CSR inquiring about a spouse and ensuring that person will be there for the sales presentation; I have no idea why anyone would care. You own a home with someone else, that person should be aware if you're replacing windows. Pretty ridiculous reason to knock a company if you ask me. Buyer Beware. Are you looking for a sub par window. Are you in the market to overpay for a product that is so poorly constructed that when they screw in the latch needed to lock your windows the vinyl cracks. Looking for high pressured sales and constant lies. Well then window nation is for you. First the company told me my lead test was positive. When I told him I didn't see any red or color change he insisted he was smarter than me and knew what he was doing. They charge a huge fee for lead. I hired an external company who had been in the business for over 30 years and the house had no lead. Funny the company I hired to test for lead told me then to walk away no company should lie to you and steal your money but I decided to continue forward with my purchase. Ordered the windows in August and was told they would arrive in December. The day before my install they called to tell me they weren't coming. Stating it was because an extra window was added on after the original order was submitted. A window that had to be added on because they forgot to measure it. Also since they forgot to measure it I guess that also meant they got to charge me a 100$ more for that window who knew. So I got a new date for install January 12. Well what do you all windows showed up except for that window that supposedly held up the order a month before. They offered no explanation. The explanation was the windows were never order in August. They got order for the first time in December when they discovered their mistake and still managed to leave off the last window. Window install went ok. Minus the fact they left giant nails all over every room in the house and didn't bother to clean up. Not only was a window missing but three screens. I paid to have all the sills replaced but they only replaced 5 of the 18. Then came even more lies. It is now February the last window came. It's still the wrong window. It's double pane and not triple pane. 11 windows have to be replaced due to poor craftsmanship. On multiple windows the vinyl is cracked. There are blemishes on the inside of the glass so it can't be cleaned. The locks don't work correctly. The saga just continues. So not only did I pay them in full but in order to get my refund of my money that is rightfully mine I have to sign a non disclosure statement saying I won't make any complaints. Well yelp here is my story and my complaint since I haven't signed my constitutional rights away just yet. Don't fall prey to their big talk. Their gimmicks of buy one get one free. We met with Window Nation to purchase replacement windows for our home. First they tell you the appointment will take 1 hour. When the sales rep arrived he said he may go a little over .... 2 hours and 50 minutes later he leaves. We liked the product and the promo seemed to be a good deal ... until we checked with another very reputable dealer. Window Nation's price before discounts was $24,000 for 14 windows. With the "discounts" it was lowered to $17,800, and when I mentioned we were veterans (not asked or offered) they reduced it by another $3,000. The deal seemed fair until we met with the next contractor. Their price, without asking for every discount was $2,300 less and included 1 additional window. Unfortunately we succumbed to the "last chance to get this great price" from WN so we were at their mercy for our $3000 refund for our deposit. This is when it gets really fun. They will milk the 10 business days to "mail" the check (forget about "up to 10 business days") ... In our case to the wrong address ... they threaten another 10 days to process, until I ask for a manager to get the new check overnighted ... he was very nice and accommodating and based on our conversation 30 minutes ago, will have it overnighted and I will have it on Friday (today is Wednesday - "missed the 3:00 cut-off"). I'm sure their product is good but if this is any indication of how this large business operates, I would implore you to stick with your local contractor or store. They scare you with business failures and lackluster "warranties" from the competition, but when you read their fine print, it isn't that much different. Caveat emptor ... you have been warned.
