The experience was excellent from the first consultation all the way through post installation follow up. The quality of the new windows and door are as promised. Our home is noticeably more comfortable, and the reduction in road and air traffic noise is remarkable. A neighbor referred me to Tim, our Design Consultant, and I'm grateful she did. Even though Tim was new, he was a former customer and made sure every detail was addressed. Every home presents its own challenges, and our installation crew certainly encountered a few -- but I was genuinely impressed by their skill, persistence, and consistently positive attitude. Once the installation was complete, the Production Manager, Geral, stepped in seamlessly. He coordinated with Tim and specialist Clayton and followed through on all of my post project questions. Their teamwork and communication made the entire process smooth and reassuring. Overall, we are very pleased with the results and the people who made it happen.

They sent a three-man crew that seemed more focused on finishing quickly so they could move on to the next job than on doing quality work. The installation was rushed and sloppy. They didn't even clean the windows after they finished. Nearly every window had damage to the paint, wood trim, or window sills. Getting someone to come back and fix the damage has been a nightmare. Jonathan, the supervisor, was rude, failed to return calls, and the workmanship was very subpar. After weeks of getting nowhere, I had to contact the corporate office just to get his supervisor's phone number. They sent Jonathan back and told me he was "their best." I was told the damaged wood and window sills would be sanded, repaired, and repainted. Instead, he simply filled the damaged areas with caulk and painted over the spots. He didn't repaint the entire window sills, so the new paint doesn't match the existing paint that has faded over time, making the repairs very noticeable. To make matters worse, the installation failed the city's inspection, and they still haven't corrected their mistakes. If you're looking for the cheapest option and don't mind poor workmanship or customer service, this company may be for you. If you want quality windows installed correctly by professionals who stand behind their work, I recommend looking elsewhere.

A Guest Bath Window With Charm, Class & Privacy…read more When I was making my initial drawings for New Moroxico, for the downstairs guest bathroom I sketched out a classic Tudor style window above a clawfoot tub. It had the quintessential diamond pattern of leaded glass on a window that was set into a stone wall and split vertically -- with two panels capable of opening outward like a French door. It was important to me that the window be functional as well as beautiful, providing my guests with the option of bathing with an open window, looking out onto the delightful fountains and luscious gardens beyond, should they be so inclined. Knowing what I know now about the City of Dallas and all its building and energy codes and environmental stipulations, it still shocks me to be be able to tell you that this is EXACTLY what I ended up achieving!! In the end (and with very little visual compromise, I might add), a gorgeous, functional, energy code approved, diamond-patterned Tudor style window now exists in my new home, looming stunningly over a huge copper tub. Of course, the city would have never approved a real stained glass window made in the traditional way, which is why we had to apply the specialty glass over a "proper" modern window-- one with energy efficient glass. Why I'm mentioning all of this is because if you are like me and nervous that doing a stained glass window this way won't look very good or won't look authentic, I am here to tell you that Jeff McMaster with Standout Glass is a skilled craftsman who does such expert work that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. My window looks every bit as charming and classy as the leaded glass windows of homes in my neighborhood that were built in the 1930s, and I have yet to encounter a single person who has questioned my window's authenticity or had anything other than praise for the finished result. There were many aspects of building New Moroxico that were extremely challenging and frustrating; but this wasn't one of them. Jeff came in and did his work quickly and perfectly, and for this reason he is someone I would gladly use again and someone who I would highly recommend to others. I went into this project confident and well-informed after watching the company's educational…read morevideos and relying on their expertise. The products and installation were generally professional, but important gaps only surfaced once decisions became final -- when flexibility was gone and costs shifted to me. For context, this project included a bedroom patio door, a side entry door, and replacement windows. This review isn't about bad intent. It's about where education and expert confidence end -- and where homeowners need to slow down and verify assumptions. The videos genuinely help level up homeowners. They explain terminology and common pitfalls and make the process feel clear. Where that education can fall short is when theory meets real-world constraints. Understanding products at a high level doesn't guarantee those choices will translate cleanly once manufacturing begins. The first gap I encountered involved usability. I replaced wood doors with fiberglass doors and assumed hanging blinds would be straightforward. I later learned fiberglass doors with foam cores don't provide the same structural support as solid wood, and traditional blind mounting can be risky unless planned around limited wood blocking. By the time this became clear, the doors were already ordered. Internal blinds would have been the safest solution, but that decision must be made before manufacturing. After raising the issue, I learned internal-blind glass units were available, but only in double pane -- not triple pane -- and without laminated options. I would have been paying to move from triple pane to double pane to solve a usability issue that hadn't been discussed earlier. I declined. The issue wasn't that tradeoffs exist -- it was how late they became visible. Another issue surfaced during installation. An existing storm door was removed, and I learned mid-install it would not be reinstalled. That had not been discussed during sales or measurement. The lesson for me: if something matters, confirm it explicitly before installation begins. Install day is where risk largely shifts to the homeowner. After the crew left, I noticed drywall damage, sealant contacting finished surfaces, debris inside and out, a damaged sprinkler head where materials were staged, and cigarette butts in the yard. Some items were addressed later; others required additional time and expense. The patio door also required adjustment and still does not open and close cleanly. I was told the next step may involve shaving material off the door -- an example of how fixes can escalate once installation is complete. My primary concern for the bedroom patio door was security and sound. Based on that, I was advised to go with triple pane. Living with the result, sound performance has not met my expectations. Laminated glass, which was not discussed during sales, is generally considered superior for both sound and security. After raising concerns, I learned the manufacturer does not publish specific sound performance ratings for its door assemblies. The recommendation appears to have been based on industry convention rather than product-specific testing. When I revisited the issue, the recommendation was affirmed and third-party solutions were suggested. When performance isn't clearly tested or measured, it becomes difficult to know whether the product was the best fit -- or whether the outcome simply falls short. If I were starting over, I would validate real-world usability early, confirm important details in writing, treat the measurement appointment as the last true decision point, ask what is tested versus conventional, and actively inspect install day before the crew leaves. The videos and guidance are helpful, but they don't replace pressure-testing assumptions before decisions harden. If nothing else, I hope this review helps turn a private loss into public wisdom for the next homeowner navigating this process.

The company would reach out about once a month to let me know the status which I really appreciated. (Was impressed by that honestly.) Install went ok. I was not impressed with the crew cleaning up after themselves (because they really didn't) and they didn't clean the windows. Even asked me if the large ladder I had was mine and then said I could use that to clean the windows myself. I had to comment to the company to get the windows cleaned which shouldn't have happened. It's standard practice to have the windows cleaned on the same day as install. I also had to correct them on the need for a permit. Somehow between the bid and install, that was deemed unnecessary. Not sure if I would recommend or not but frankly, there are very few window companies that are recommendable. Probably because the workers rotate between companies anyway. Response: Don't twist my words. It was more than just running out of supplies. And at NO POINT did I provide an incorrect address. I would think I know where I live! I have lived here for SIX years. And if it was discussed at the time of the bid, then you clearly had the correct one. Do not lie. It's disgusting. I originally gave four stars but after the response from the owner, deducted a star.
