He says he does mostly "honey do's", and I had a big one for him. I had a 90-pound clock that I needed to put back on a wall 10 feet up after an anchor holding it in place pulled out of the wall. My wife wanted it fixed before a get-together coming up in 3 days. I asked him to come to see what needed to be done and talked him into doing the project the same day, which happened to be on his birthday (I didn't know until 4 hours in). It wasn't a simple project, and he gave me several ideas and options to consider. Of course, I chose the most difficult one, which ended up being a 6-hour project. If you're looking for a handyman for general work in the Las Colinas / Irving area, Eddie is your man. We had a variety of small odd jobs around the house, mostly because of the high ceilings. Eddie took care of everything. He worked fast, but was attentive to detail, careful to keep everything clean. He very clearly took pride in doing quality work. I thought his pricing was reasonable. He even made the trip to Home Depot for specific supplies we needed for the job. He was quick to respond to my initial request. Great communication throughout the job. He's really good, means it when he says no job's too small, and on top of it he's just a really nice guy. There's always a running list of this and that repairs that we keep adding to, and we will not hesitate to call Eddie for those future lists. Solid 5 stars. read more

Date Services Performed: 2023-09-28 Date of this Review: 2023-09-28 Handyman Eddie Services came out this morning to perform some work on our roof (fascia, soffits, etc...) Here goes yet another glowing review of why I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. Background: Earlier this month, there was lots of loud commotion in our attic. Turns out, a couple of opossums were having a party up there, and we notices a fairly large entry point under the roof overhang. The opossums were humanely trapped and released back into the wild, but that left us with a large point of entry for critters. Upon examining the roof more carefully, we noticed a couple of other smaller access points for wasps/rodents etc. Prior to calling Handyman Eddie Services, another big name roofing company in the area (Irving, TX) came out to assess the situation and provide an estimate. As I just mentioned, all we needed was a couple of holes patched in a way that would be structurally sound, and able to prevent further critter incursions. So with the other roofing company, before I knew what hit me, the situation escalated into involving insurance, a sales pitch for a brand new roof, involving collateral, and a sales pitch for doing all sorts of other unrelated services like re-staining our fence. Pardon my French but I was like WTF? I got so discouraged I couldn't bring myself to deal with yet another slick greaseball used-car salesman for a couple of days. After the sterile corporate-speak and that whole approach wore, off, I went to scour the internet for another business that could do the job. I found Handyman Eddie Services, and all I found were stellar reviews. Normally, your internal skeptic says, it's probably too good to be true, but I took the chance and gave them a call. Everything that followed was positive, as you can read from the other many, many reviews here, and elsewhere. I explained our situation, and what we were looking to have done. I sent pictures over text message of the damage/problem areas, and Eddie was able to give a rough estimate on the spot over the phone within a few hours. Then, to confirm anything that may not have been obvious over the photos, he came out the next day to actually look at the damage to get an idea for their costs and time needed to complete the job. All of this was clearly communicated without any bullshit, and they gave you an actual price estimate rather than obfuscating or clouding the issue by drawing insurance into the picture. Believe it or not, some people don't want to file a claim for everything and be upsold to a brand new roof in 5 minutes. So that was very refreshing. Next, they were punctual. They told us how long the work would typically take for the type of work involved, and they were pretty close to the mark. They showed up when they said they'd show up, and after a quick verbal back-and-forth to make sure we were on the same page they got straight to work, periodically checking in if there were options on how to proceed with something. Beyond that, there was the human element. Eddie and Marek both talk to you like you are a human being, and were direct, but courteous and also lighthearted and easygoing. Honestly, everything about the process and the interaction was refreshing in a world where everyone has some angle or tactic or is downright weaselly and trying to hoodwink you. Then there was the work itself. All of our agreed-upon issues were fixed, and they even patched and replaced part of a badly rotted out/ water-damaged door frame on our door to the back yard, and just rolled in to the existing estimate. What can I say... At the best of times it is difficult to figure out what to believe when reading online reviews. I get it. Believe what you want, and do your homework and due diligence, but you can add me to yet another pleasantly surprised and 100% satisfied customer of Handyman Eddie Services. I had a running toilet and quite a few odd projects around the house. After reading so many great reviews about Handyman Eddie's quick response time and professionalism, I gave him a call. I was so happy to see that all the wonderful reviews were right. Not only was Eddie upfront and honest about his cost he was very fair. I hate doing odd jobs and for Eddie to come over and make my home more functional was a blessing. Eddie is now on my speed dial and I've already referred him to 4 neighbors! He came to my house on short notice and worked very carefully to cut a countertop overhang to fit a refrigerator into a space that wasn't wide enough for it (my measuring skills are sub-optimal). I will say that Eddie and Luis were polite, professional and responded quickly. However, they screwed me over with the quote. Originally quoted $300 to only install 2 pre-hung interior doors. Not a bad price. Mind you, I already demoed the old doors and provided shims and screws. For the sake of time I instructed them NOT to install trim, door handles, or paint the doors. Magically the cost doubled to $600 after everything was done. They NEVER said $300 each. $600 to install pre-hung doors???? That's an expensive lesson. I'm always a fan of supporting small businesses but these guys played me. My advice, record your conversations and get the quote in writing. I got some drywall done and also needed a leak fixed, the guys showed up on time and got everything fixed. I got a quote on Monday and they came on Tuesday which was surprising considering Thanksgiving was just a couple of days away. The price was decent and they worked the whole afternoon and cleaned up nice when they were done. I will be using them again in the future. read more
