The first company to contact me (after my Yelp request for a bid) was Window Doctor. Andy was fast, helpful and professional. He accomodated my timing needs/preferences and communicated along the way (including an hour before the team arrived). Three people showed up (on time) and did my two story house within one hour! Perfect job -- quiet, not messy (no slopping water on my floors), they cleaned the screens and there was not a trace when they left. They were nice, helpful and thorough. I've used Window Doctor a few times and most recently this week. They are easy to schedule and do a great job. They clean my windows, screens, and sills and always leave everything sparkling. My windows were coated in dirt, the sills filthy and the screens needed attention and now all sparkling clean. I also ask them to power wash the street level part of my home which can get gritty over time. I'm always happy and will continue to use Window Doctor. The guys are also friendly, too. read more

It was a beautiful day in the Bay Area, and a day like this only deserves 5-star reviews. I am mad at the Window Doctor. Before he came over, I though I just had dirty windows. But now, after he cleaned the windows on our place to spotless perfection, I realize that I have a dirty wall that I am looking at out of one of my windows. And two of the dual pane windows have defective seals and moisture between the sheets of glass. Before he came to remove the layers of grime, I was oblivious to my other problems, now I have to deal with those. If he hadn't cleaned to windows so perfectly, I might not have noticed. On the other hand, I had a great view of the sunset tonight through the spotlessly clear glass. So I guess I can't stay mad at the Window Doctor for too long. read more

I received an immediate response.. by the way, the communication skills via text and phone are top notch.. Yah, not super impressed by these guys. For one, their company is based in Oakland, not SF. They changed the appointment 3 times. Left my window sills with dirty water and charged me a whopping $250 for cleaning 2 large windows, 5 small ones and one sliding door (oustide only). Would I use them again, no. However they were quick because there were 4 cleaners so they were done in 30 minutes. read more

These guys are amazing! After two of their competitors were no-shows (Intelligent and All Bright) the third time was a charm. Unlike these others, they didn't require a separate scheduled appointment to determine an estimate, but gave me a very competitive price upfront. The washers were prompt and super friendly. They did both interior and exterior panes for a very competitive price, even while I live rather high on a very steep hill. Upon finishing, all of SF appeared in technicolor. I can't overstate the difference it has made. I feel like Dorothy when she opens the door upon Oz out of dreary Kansas. My windows, and their customer service, are flawless. read more

Highly recommend Window Doctor. They responded quickly to my initial inquiry and provided an estimate (at least two others never responded). We had agreed on an appointment time about a week out. Two days prior, I saw that the weather forecast was calling for significant rain. 48-hours in advance they proactively reached out also seeing that rain was expected and we agreed on a rescheduled date and time. Santiago did a great job. We did a power washing of the front exterior and a full set of windows washed. Proactive, reliable, fairly priced and overall I'm very satisfied. The window doctor was the only one who answered my short-notice call for a window cleaning before an open house. He quoted me a price over the phone by looking at google maps street view to see which windows needed to be cleaned. He missed one window (which was behind a tree) but sent someone out right away to take care of it. He also did another short notice job for me. Bryan went out himself on a Saturday to get this done before our Sunday opens. He's great and I'll be calling him again for sure! read more

These guys are terrific! My bay windows hadn't been cleaned on the outside for years because they're out of my reach. I tried to make an appointment with several other people who do windows but their earliest slots were months away. Frankly, think they didn't want to be bothered by such a small job. Bryan fitted me in between some bigger projects in my neighborhood. The guys showed up with tall ladders and were done within minutes. They're great. They gave us a quote over the phone, which is a lot more convenient than someone first coming over & give an estimate, & then return 2nd time to do the work. (They looked our place up on Google Maps, so they know what they're getting into.) Michael was on time, super-friendly, did an absolutely excellent job, was careful about cleaning up. Couldn't ask for anything more. To top it off, Michael offered to do some more windows, that we hadn't requested. He said - "your job is so easy, we can get it done in less than the time covered by the minimum charge - $225 - so we can do more windows & it won't cost you anything". Zack showed up on time. He was clean cut and polite. Worked hard for 3 straight hours. Charged $14 per window for inside and out or $12 for just the inside. I live on a steep hill so it was unsafe to put the ladder up against the house. Thus, a couple of windows could only be washed on the inside. Maybe if they sent two guys one of them could have held the ladder. Other than that, a totally great experience. Will use them again. read more

The last time I had my windows washed was well over 20 years ago. He was an older gentleman who came with a ladder, newspapers and a bucket. Never said more than 3 words to me. He did a good job and charged pennies. Times have changed. I quit traveling so often and became much more aware of how nasty my rent-controlled apartment really was. Started the revamp with the windows. Got 4 estimates. What an experience! One young woman came within 20 minutes of my phone call but after 4 days and 4 different excuses, never gave us an estimate. One young man with an athletic approach to his craft said he would need to rappel down for the windows and consequently the cost would be prohibitive. (I'm on the second floor.) The best price came from another really nice Hispanic man but I could never understand his voice mail messages. Wish I spoke more Spanish. Finally, the Window Doctor! It took Bryan a while to get out for a physical inspection but he has so much experience with this that he was able to quote me over the phone. After an onsite inspection, his estimate did not change and it was very fair. The work was better than I could have hoped for. Every window sparkles and the guy who did it (Michael) was wonderful. He took his time to review everything before beginning, was thorough and left my immediate environment better than it was before he arrived. He was also warm and engaging, explaining everything when asked and leaving me alone to work when I finally stopped asking questions. He even worked straight through lunch without stopping. Who could ask for a better employee/partner? He is probably a true reflection of the business owner. I hope to use them again before the bad weather starts again. You can't go wrong with the Window Doctor but do your homework. You might find it entertaining. read more

I called Bryan on Friday and was able to arrange to get someone here by Saturday - the next day. That was quick service! Trying to determine the price over the phone was not the easiest, but it all worked out fine in the end. Michael (the actual guy who did the work) was fantastic. He was on time, polite and efficient. He really did an outstanding job, and I would definitely request him again the next time.
