All three stars go to Ava. This past Tuesday my family came to Shooters for dinner to celebrate my…read morebirthday. We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits

The fish fillets were fried perfectly, not greasy and so tasty. The fried chicken was amazing, the pork dishes flavorful, the pancit and rice soaking up all the beautiful sauce. (I was even dipping my fried fish into the coconut sauce the shrimp were cooked in!) This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants EVER and I'm not kidding. Immediately after I left I was planning my next trip there. The food tastes homemade and it's just so good. And for $15 for AYCE amazing homemade Filipino food it's honestly a steal. Whenever I'm in the Ft Lauderdale area visiting this place is top priority and it should be everyone's priority. It's just that good!

The food here is truly authentic Filipino food although I've never been to the Philippines!! It's a buffet restaurant that's gives one a chance to try different dishes from their culture. The interior is very minimal which I didn't mind and gave me a sense of authenticity. If you want to go there you have to check their hours because they aren't open everyday and when they are open the hours vary! I heard they cater mostly to the cruise line industry. I truly enjoyed every single dish that I tried and can't wait to eat there again! 7/10

The food is phenomenal, the salad bar offers a plethora of dishes, and the rodizio meats and steaks that are served tableside are perfectly seasoned and cooked. I love their grilled cheese with honey, polenta fries and grilled pineapple, they are definitely a must! The restaurant is large with plenty of comfortable seating and they also have private rooms to accommodate more intimate parties. Highly recommend it. The drinks are great, and they also have Ladies Night on Thursday were dinners are 50% off.

Three different servers incorrectly told us that salmon, shrimp, and cheese were not included, until the manager later confirmed that they actually were. The communication among staff was very inconsistent, and the pescatarian options were underwhelming. The tuna on the salad bar also did not taste fresh. Even after a 10% discount from the manager, I still paid $56 for a meal I did not enjoy and left hungry. Unfortunately, this was not the special Mother's Day experience we were hoping for.

I'd definitely avoid the tempura as it didn't have the right coating and really didn't work with the broccoli. The best item was definitely the steak in my opinion. The seasoning was delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The short ribs weren't bad either. The coconut shrimp was tasty as well, but I've definitely had better. The sushi rolls was alright and there was a wide selection, but some of the sashimi didn't taste the freshest. They had a decent amount of salads around the corner, but I didn't take part in any. Another great thing was the dessert bar. I really love almond cookies, so I was elated to see them there. Their orange slices were perfectly sweet. Some of their cakes weren't had either. I also love when buffets have a good selection of ice creams, so it was nice to see they had several flavors. I got pistachio, which was just okay in flavor, but nice that there were bits of pistachio in it. I also got green tea which was a little disappointing, but there was a tinge of tea flavor. I think I got a chocolate one as well, which was tasty. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and came by frequently to top off our drinks.

I also checked yelp and it seemed like the reviews were promising. The place is very clean and there is a lot of variety. There were non-sushi options such as hot food(noodles, stir fries, and fried food, along with sushi. There was also a separate dessert and fruit section. For the price it was worthwhile. The sushi didn't appear frozen and was quite tasty. I noticed there weren't any sashimi pieces just all either rolls or Nigiri. The service seemed prompt. We were quite surprised and thought it to be a good value. I would definitely double check the website in case prices change overtime.

We started with the mushroom appetizer with horseradish sauce and the coconut shrimp -- both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the seafood to the appetizers. The atmosphere feels super cozy and homie, like an old fisherman's bar, with fish all over the walls that really give the place character. Our server, Leah, was amazing -- so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us decide what to order and made us feel right at home. We had the stone crab and crab claws, and everything was excellent. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to!

The dining room is very large and plain and not at all fancy. Our server was polite but she forgot to order my appetizer and didn't provide the separate checks that we requested. We all had versions of the all-you-can-eat scallops. And we never got a second plate because the first one was filled with about a dozen or more large ones. And no matter what special you get, you are allowed some catfish with it. So, of course, we each had a fillet. It was the best part of the meal. While the scallops were decent, we were not fans because they were fried, and a bit dry. The fried catfish was crunchy but flavorful. As to the sides, the cole slaw is good. The collard greens were average. The baked sweet potato was very mushy, and the French fries needed to be crisper. The hush puppies were addictive. If you like large or plentiful portions, add a star, because your belly will surely be full. I couldn't finish my scallops or the extra piece of catfish that I had requested. And you're not allowed any doggie bags with the all-you-can-eat offers. We certainly didn't have room to try any desserts. Two entrees at $35.99 each, one alcoholic drink, tax, and tip was $115.
