This afternoon we stopped in at Windham Flowers to pick up a last minute bouquet of flowers, and have to say that we enjoyed the store overall. This shop has a ton of beautiful plants and flowers! The amount of unique plants they have is incredible, and the team here does an amazing job of taking care of these plants. The staff here is extremely polite and knowledgeable! We asked them a ton of different questions about their products, and they were more than willing to provide us the answers we were looking for. This shop also has a lot of great gift ideas. These include beeswax candles, as well as different types of natural lotions and scrubs. They also had cute cards that were included with the price of the arrangement you bought. One critique that I have about this store is that the prices for their merchandise was a bit high in comparison to other florists in the area. In the past we have spent a similar amount of money on an arrangement at another location in town, and have received a much larger bouquet. The other minor critique that left us feeling a bit off-put was when the florist finished our arrangement. Instead of handing the arrangement to us she placed is on the counter and walked away without saying anything. This was frustrating because we would have appreciated the ability to thank her instead of her dumping the flowers and moving on. I called them from overseas, since my mom was getting surgery at Brattleboro Memorial. They had what I wanted (a flowering plant), and took my details down. I went to sleep. When I woke up, I found an email that said that my card had been declined, but they had SENT THE FLOWERS ANYWAY, and would I please call them back with the correct card info. I was ASTONISHED. I suppose they knew where my mother was, and had my email address, but still... Needless to say I called them back the next day, got them the right card info, and thanked them profusely. I have never met these people, and probably never will. But based on this experience I wish I could. P.S. Sally and her crew at Windham Flowers were a dream to work with and made our wedding day flowers look spectacular. We worked together looking at colors and styles until she knew exactly what I wanted...and stayed within my budget. She took the time to walk me through several options and we went through a few substitutions as we came closer to the date and knew what was available. She even made a "tester" centerpiece for me so I knew exactly what I was getting. I was able to use my own centerpiece containers and she was very flexible about renting the larger ones for the alter. The flowers were beyond fresh and lasted for several weeks after the wedding. I brought my bouquet on my honeymoon because I just couldn't bare to leave it at home! The bouquets were also the PERFECT size (which can be a problem, I've learned!). We had a wonderful time working with Windham Flowers for our September 2014 wedding! It was extremely easy to schedule a time to go into the shop (even on Saturdays) and they are always available to run ideas by over the phone. The centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres were exactly what we discussed (and smelled incredible). It was by far one of my favorite parts of planning the wedding- the staff are incredibly talented and knowledgeable about flowers and create such beautiful arrangements based on a few ideas I tried to communicate. We re-used the centerpieces at the Goodbye Breakfast the following day and, no surprise, they still looked perfect. If we weren't going on our honeymoon the following day, I would have taken as many as I could home. The best!!! read more
