Do not give him money. He claimed he could repair our RV levelers. We never received any invoices on parts or service. Had multiple excuses for not getting the. work done:mother's illnesses, his VA medical appointments, delayed parts due to Covid, supply chain problems etc. He never called me to do work. I always had to track him down. Never kept appointments he had suggested. He lost his lease and forced me to move my RV off his lot to my site at Go Store It, He essentially vanished. Bill has done work for me on my camper now going on a year. He is very knowledgeable and knows everything inside and out about campers and R.V.s. Alot of these reviews are kinda old and hard to believe. He has done amazing work for me, have me a great deal of new furniture he installed for me, fixed my plumbing problem with my shower, and I can even call him before I get down and he turns on the air for me. He has had some real health issues before that got him a little behind but he is back at it again and working hard. He has never asked me for any money upfront and doesn't want to be paid until the job is done and his customers are pleased with the job. He will be sealing my camper roof this week and taking care of a few leaks I have. William Winder GC did a wonderful job renovating my mobile home bathroom! I have a 1980's retro style mobile home that had a huge bathtub with steps that was so outdated. He took it out and put in a walk in shower floor pan with walls and then tiled the remaining area to give us more space to shower with this new walk in shower. He redid the flooring as well and it's so pretty and clean looking. It came out beautiful! Now just know that William takes his time with renovation as he is really busy so if you are looking to book him, make sure you speak about time frame and how long it will take to get the job done. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY!! September 13, 2022 we gave him $2,533.76 for a rooftop AC/heat unit, thermostat, 3 year warranty, labor, service call and sales tax. At first he said unit was on back order, then he said the warehouse had the unit but wouldn't deliver just one AC unit to him. I have text numerous times and left voice mails. At first he would answer my calls. Now, after 7+months of him not even answering if the unit is in his possession (which I even offered to pick up at the warehouse, because he said they wouldn't deliver it). It is obvious he has no intentions of installing the unit or giving it to us if he even ordered it. I have now asked him for a refund and he's gone radio silent. I have now found out I'm not the only one who is looking for him. After reading other reviews on a few pages. This isn't a one time thing. He may do great work... I wouldn't know. I would strongly suggest in using someone else for your work. He boast he is a Veteran and has a roofing crew that he lets others use. He is a big talker I'll give him that! I won't let this rest. Spoke with Mr Winder about putting an awning on my camper and repairing my front outer wall. I received my insurance check and immediately handed it to hime with and additional 500 to pay overage. Its now been 6 months. No work started. I told him I was taking him to small claims court. He stopped responding to me. I filed papers and the sheriffs reported back that his gates were locked and could not find him. I jow have to pay again to search for him which I will gladly do. Be aware if you run into this man he will talk all other repair men in the ground saying how bad their work is and how he is the only true certified rv repair man around the area. Very bad experience. I wish I could leave less than 1 star. read more

Don't hire this company to do anything. I hired him to replace the roof and floor and other refurbishments to my camper the end of 2021. Unfortunately I did not know were his shop was so I couldn't physically check up on progress. Paid for materials up front. He hasn't returned any phone calls or e-mails for over a year now. Was just luck that his shops landlord was able to locate me to move my camper off property. Camper is now trash due to the fact roof was started but nowhere finished and partly open to rain. read more

This company was gonna do our underpinning on our camper in Holly Ridge, NC. We paid him over $1000 to get materials in December 2020 and by February he hadn't started the Job. We called him numerous times and kept promising that he would get it started soon but never did. We finally ask him for our money back in March. He said he would but never did. He also doesn't return any of our calls. We did report him to the BBB as well and no response from him as of yet. This man is a criminal !!! read more
