By your own statment you have proven and verified our case that we did not qualify and were infact not approved. We didnt lie about income qualifications plus your lender and agent Katie verified our tax returns and income. You tried to keep our deposite and said we qualified when the lender told us both we didnt to justify keeping the deposite. Then you changed it to you can get us qualified but we "had" to sell our RV and you would send us a refund check if we guarantee to come back in a year which that statement alone verified you lying about us qualifying; if we didnt to begin with why give us time to qualify if we already did? It was agreed in writting that if not approved now we would be refunded. We did not try to keep both the refund and charge back we told you in an email we have, if you refund us we will reverse the charge back once we confirmed you returned our deposite. I should have looked at the bad reviews before going in which we can sadly verify from our experience to be true and accurate. They lied and even promised in writing if not approved they would refund us our deposite but didnt as we personally experienced, then turn it around and said us and others backed out to justify keeping our deposite. We were looking for land in Hampstead and noticed their homes that seemed nice so we stopped to get information and look at their homes to see if we saw something we liked and when ready come back to possibly buy. We told Katie up front our intentions were to look and gather information, pricing and once we found land that would meet our needs and worked on some buying qualifications we would be back. She convinced us to go ahead and check with their lender to see if we qualified and put a partial deposite down; verbally and in writting guaranteed us if we were not approved our deposite would be refunded "they didnt honor". We agreed and their lender reached out to us saying at this time we were not approved for a home/land package and need cash reserves we dont have for unforseen expenses right now so there was no way we could get approved, we told him our agreement and he said to go request our deposite back and said he had spoken with Katie and Donnie to let them know we were not approved. We went back to get our deposite and Katie told us she didnt hear back yet so we thought that was strange since the lender told us he just told them and called us to let us know. We also informed her the land we were trying to buy fell through, it didnt perk and other properties we found had covenants that didnt allow modular homes or other restrictions. We offered to call the lender infront of her and she backed up said we dont have to do that right now to wait on calling him and asked for our card so when she heard from the lender she would refund it but didnt refund it. We left and called back the lender and he confirmed again we weren't approved and said he would call them again to confirm it. We waited a day and went back to talk to Katie again and saw her car when we drove up and asked for her but the owner came out and said she wasnt there and asked what was going on we reminded him that we signed an agreement saying we would be refunded once unapproved, he started saying we were approved even though knowing otherwise. Then He said in 6 months or so we can get approved and we said no thats not what we agreed to. Then he kept saying he can get us approved but we "have to" to sell our RV so we can buy one of his homes and said he would only refund our deposite if we agreed to come back in a year. Creative Contracting NC LLC is DISHONEST, UNTIMELY, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I contacted them in early…read moreNovember 2024. I requested custom rolling shelves to be installed in my master bathroom and a spot on the wall to be painted over where it chipped. I was informed that it would be doable to be completed by 23 November 2024. It was understood that I paid half the estimate upfront to deposit and then pay the remainder when the work is complete. So I paid half upfront to deposit; amount was $1,860.00. On the planned completion date, I received a text message that there is a family emergency and they requested if the completion date can be pushed back to 24 November 2024. I said to that the new date is fine. And then the family emergency is extended, and extended, and extended thru Friday, 6 December 2024 and then thru Saturday, 7 December 2024. We agreed that the work will be completed firmly by no later than Sunday, 8 December 2024. By this point I have been more than reasonable and accommodating to the life situation that they are going Through. On 10 December 2024, and I verified that there has been no work done at all on the shelves or the painting job. I called, texted, and emailed the team with no response. I had discovered the nature of the emergency; so of course it's a traumatic experience. Also, at the same time, I am working in a tight budget. I cannot just throw away $1,860.00. By the end of December, the shelves and paint job were take care of by another person. On 15 January 2025, they informed me that they are taking care of the refund; first tried Zelle, then Venmo and did not work, so we agreed on a cashier's check sent to me. The cashier's check was mailed to me on 28 January 2025. And since January 28th 2025, no further updates; complete silence. I send one final message expressing my frustration and anger with the refund process on 17 February 2025; and then two days later on 19 February 2025, they finally reach back out to me ONLY after I initiated the follow up message. They tell me the refund check was mailed back to the office; this information I did not know, so at this point, I am dissatisfied more that they did not reach out back to me to close out the refund process. On 19 February 2025, they confirm with tracking number from UPS that the refund check is mailed to me to my correct mailing address. I received the package from UPS. However, upon opening the check is not in the mailer; there is only a neon green envelope with '1900.00 Refund' written on the outside. I noticed the green envelope was ripped in one corner and the mailer was also ripped in one corner. At this point, I still haven't received the refund. So, we agreed to send the check via USPS instead. We confirmed with tracking number that the check was mailed via USPS on 5 March 2025. On 14 March 2025, I received the mailer. Inside the mailer package, the check was not there. Instead, there was a Customs and Declaration Form and their business card. No refund check. At this point, we have utilized two forms of mailing technique without success. So, understandably, I asked them to provide the refund electronically either via Zelle or Venmo. I have no word of whether or when my deposit will be refunded, since that is the honest and professional thing to do. At the end of the day, it is poor customer service.
