It took another week just to get him here, then after that. I give him 2 weeks plus a third ( for holiday reasons and his busy schedule, pretty much benifit of dought) & to get my estimate out to me .He has a excuse each week on why nothing's been sent over ! Look I have had someone recently work on my house called Coco construction and they did a terrible job and scammed me out of 2 grand I have a entire siding and decking that needs another whole replacement. Wilmington home improvement where supposed to have my back and fix what happened he made me feel safe at first . But they have done nothing but play games and give me Excuses! I felt like I have been treated even worse then coco Construstruction treated me . So Can I just please find a truthful and upfront and dedicated company for once! Like Jesus what's so hard about caring for you're customers?! So don't believe the fake reviews they have posted guys . He sucks and on first appearance he looked to me like he was on some drugs even if half the time he did have a few intelligent remarks but just wait till YOU see for yourself if you choose! Overall Not a good pick if you're just a average hardworking person ! He's just trying to make himself look good with all the helping photos from big easy jobs due to the storm for big Businesses and rich people or people that at least live very comfortably! I can understand being busy but there's no excuse for this treatment. I know he has been receiving my messages because we both have iPhones it tells me. So listen people I'm not just a a up tight and ignorant person that's just pissed off , NO! because if he didn't want this job or to help us he should have just said that from the start not beat around the bush, so I can find someone else. I even asked him if he plans on wasting my time and is too busy for this job I will find someone else's I just need to know now... this was after waiting a week and half for a freaking estimate! That let me remind you the estimate wasn't that difficult I'm sure of it and he said he would help me with a statement on how the previous work done was not correct so I did really feel at first he was being a good person . His response to my question was - (Chris) " I would never waste you're time I am sorry" but look how far that got me ! Then every week after was "I'm busy I'm sorry I will get it out to u this evening " but every week & day nothing ! And if that's how he is about a damn estimate I would hate to see how he works ! nobody has time for a LIAR! I hope this review helps whomever is reading , because I strongly suggest you pick someone else, I don't ever post reviews about people but lately people keep screwing me over and this guy knew about that, the website claims to be 24/7 emergency service and they are honest and reliable . None of that is true tho and if it is true then it most certainly didn't include me on that type of treatment after patently waiting for weeks and being very respectful up until today!

If you are building…read moreor planning to build with Harrington Classic Homes, do your research and for those who are, check your home's progress daily or pay someone to watch over it for you. I've bought homes in Wilmington before and by far this is one of the worse builders and office workers I've ever dealt with. Do not buy a home from this builder until you have checked with the Better Business Bureau, NC Builders Association, past clients, Google Reviews, Cypress Village Place owners, and other locations in and around Wilmington NC. This builder and its office workers are a scam. They have no work ethic, professionalism, horrible customer treatment, terrible communication, poor quality work and poor quality materials installed in their new homes. They will charge high prices and install low grade materials on your property. This builder and his employees are a scam, they will try to stop you from checking the house while it is being built to prevent you from seeing the poor quality work and materials being installed in your future new home. They charged my neighbor $18,000 at the last minute at closing and then they blamed it on COVID. What builder do you know who buys materials while building a community of 30 homes? This is the most greedy, reckless, disrespectful, inconsiderate, lier and careless builder that we as a community have ever known... They have also left our community on the brink of bankruptcy due to their lack of respect for humanity.

We replaced the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and added a fortified roof. The kitchen is amazing!  Infinity Cabinets replaced all our cabinets and they are all slow close.  We have a fancy coffee cabinet to hide our coffee maker and my favorite is the secret spice and cooking utensil cabinets.  The quartz countertops are the main attraction which are featured on a huge island that has hidden storage cabinets.  We worked with Wilmington appliance for all our kitchen appliances and Ferguson for our lighting and bath fixtures.  They were all wonderful!  The tile contractor also did amazing work.   Special thanks to many individuals at Essence, but especially Mike who did it all!  He specially designed and crafted the cabinets in our mud room and custom design our his and her closets.  Also thanks to Cassie who kept everyone organized.  Also thanks to some or our favorite people who helped all of this come to fruition - Eddie, Jay, Steve, Chrissy and Brian.  Also, thank you for being so kind to us and our overly friendly dog, Winston. You are the best and we love our forever home.  Sincerely,  Lauren, Craig and Winston
