A month before departure we had a medical upset, and gratefully, with a whole summers worth of time flexibility on both sides, Diamond_4 was able to reschedule the trip for end of the season in early September. Then a couple of weeks before departure Diamond_4 had a business upset and unilaterally rescheduled the trip dates. Given the short notice at the season's end, there was no time flexibility due to other obligations and approaching seasonal snow storms. The short notice, rescheduled trip window was only 5 days. With no accommodations, reconciliation, or reparations forth coming from Diamond_4 for the mandatory change in schedule, we could not meet our daily trip itinerary. Thus a trip of a lifetime was canceled. From the discussions we felt Diamond_4 had 1) no vested interest in the success of the client's trip. And 2), no interest in client satisfaction levels. We also learned they have 3) no internal processes to manage business upsets beyond passing it on to the client. And 4) no capabilities for acting to mitigate wildness emergencies of clients or wranglers out of cell phone range, of which there are numerous satellite options. They do get one star for refunding our deposit. But still, the trip of a lifetime was lost. The whole experience with Diamond_4 for a client specified spot trip was very disappointing. I would not recommend their services as client safety in the wilderness and trip satisfaction is at high risk due to upsets from weather, internal business failures, or medical factors compared to other outfitters I have used
