The prices and selection are great. I especially appreciate the produce and bulk sections. It's open 24 hours, which is awesome for my weird work schedule. My only complaint is that the checkout lines get long at night when there's frequently only one or two open. Self-checkout is always an option, but when I have a cart full of groceries it's quicker to wait in line.

Vegetables and local meats. We joined their membership a year before moving here...that's how much I liked the store. Twice a month great sale prices on local. You receive a monthly discount to use on all your groceries too. Don't pass the deli department without exploding. Love the pizza by slice!! The store holds classes too but I'm so busy. Very clean!! Oh the local bread department is above 5 star quality too.

We were so thrilled to wander in here and see how ample the options were for us. Some highlights: The food court foods were CLEAN, limited ingredient, and there was a large variety. We ordered a whole pizza to go and enjoyed it guilt free for dinner as there dough and everything in it was seed oil free, and free of other ingredients we avoid. The bakery was filled with fresh gluten free options and sweets, it was a dream for me! They also carry a number of products from local small businesses which was a pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable in comparison to what you can expect to pay in other places for high quality foods. We will 100% be back here next time we're in the area and highly recommend checking the co-op out if you're in the area.

Natural Grocers was the OG. Before Whole Foods, Sprouts, and before the Boise Cooperative, it was Natural Grocers. It's a great story, look it up and read about Margaret and Phillip Islely, their $200 bucks, and their dream. I've visited several times, and while it may still have a following, it gets lost in the ever-expanding sections of your traditional grocers. It wasn't long ago, that you would NOT see vegan cheese in the cheese aisle, or plant-based meats in the meat section, but now they are there, whether it's something you eat or not. The vegetable and fruit section is smaller than the Co-Op at the Village but sometimes it's good to have a second chance. The vitamin section as well as the community hang-out section to the right when you walk in should not be missed. One thing that often gets missed is that some shoppers see these grocers as vegan or vegetarian. While it's true that they stock vegan and vegetarian items, they also have organic meats and meat products. If you're looking for organic, grass-fed meats and such, check out Natural Grocers TIP1: Check out their website as it has a bountiful amount of information about Sustainability, Deals, Recipes, Events, and more. Natural Grocers is located on Milwaukee in Boise, across from the Home Depot, and is open most nights until 8:30 pm excluding Sundays.

Going to any Grocery Outlet is like a scavenger hunt. What you saw there last time, may not be…read morethere the next. I was on the hunt for some FieldRoast Vegan breakfast sandwiches. They're pretty good when I am lazy to make breakfast. I did purchase the last three at my usual Grocery Outlet in Meridian at Crossroads. I walked into this location and it always feels fancier compared to the other locations. I'm not able to articulate it in words but it just does. While I didn't find the breakfast sandwiches, I did find some vegan flatbreads which I have not seen before and at less than four bucks each, it was a find, so I bought the last two to stash for a lazy day. As for service, Mindy was very pleasant and funny. We chatted about how I was cheating on my usual location and Meg over there usually serves me. Mindy says, 'Its our secret' It was a funny moment. In retail, even a small chuckle, is worth a million bucks. Thanks Grocery Outlet for the finds, and I will stay focused on the hunt each and every time.

I didn't have time to see the entire store, but I did have time to come through several sections of the store in depth. Here's what I found: 1. The Boise GO on Fairview has a better frozen section. They have a bigger variety and more interesting items. 2. The Bread section of the Meridian and Boise GO are similar, but the Boise GO on Fairview has bread from Zeppole. 3. The Boise GO on Fairview has a bigger selection of Taylor Farms than the Meridian GO. 4. The Boise GO on Fairview has a bigger and better selection of Eggs, Butter & Cheese. 5. The Boise GO on Fairview appears to be a bigger store, which would explain why they have more variety in some sections. The Meridian GO appears similar in size to the Boise GO on Overland. I still need a bit more time to go through the Meridian GO, but so far, I prefer the Boise GO on Fairview. The Meridian GO is better than the Boise GO on Overland.
