I requested them months ago and they gave no response. The place is always crowded and the shoppers tend to be inconsiderate. No one seems to mind that many elderly are bringing their small animals into the store when they clearly are not "Service Animals". Would I recommend? WinCo should be your primary food store, maybe go to Safeway for their ad specials but check your receipts before you leave. Fred Meyer for sales. Safeway 30% markup, freds 25% WinCo sets their prices and only once have I had a problem with a receipt which was caused by a bulk food purchase that the price had not been changed to reflect the posted price. They fixed it in a second no attitude or garbage which is what happens at Safeway almost every transaction. Better food better prices no excuses! read more

If I could put minus stars i would, ice been going to this store since they opened, have always used the self check out, I suffer from anxiety and most of the thing don't even make it in the store because of my anxiety, I was told today that I can NOT go through the self check out(15 items or less) if I have 16 items, even if there is no line! They were extremely rude about it, so i guess discrimination against people with disabilities is ok at this establishment, and that is unfortunate!! read more

Sushi is surprisingly decent! May I even say good! For store bought sushi, yum! I've had sushi all over the coast from Vancouver to San Francisco, in a pinch, this WinCo sushi was a surprising suitable. Spicy tuna had a nice kick, salmon was fresh, rice was nicely seasoned. read more

The display as photo shows 98c; however, we got charged at higher prices (even double). After a price check from a lady, she intructed and assised Tyler G. to corrected the price for "root beer only" as Tyler told us later (!!!???). We found the other two 7- Up and Canada Dry Ginger were not corrected and asked Tyler. Another lady, from customer service counter, came. After see the #2 photo and saw the display by herself, she suggested to refund the different. We just simply returned the sodas. That is how it shows in the receipt as photo 1. Before about 3 months ago, I've never even heard of WinCo Foods. However, one of the foodie pages I'm following on IG showed a picture of some Oreo edible cookie dough. And, the place he got it was WinCo. My drive to Portland was getting better by the minute! With that being said, I never did find the cookie dough (even went to 2 other ones). But, what I did find, was a super cool grocery store! This is not your typical grocery store. It's more of your grocery store on steroids..... and maybe some protein drinks...... and amino acids...... and calcium. Ok, I ran out of muscle building supplements, but you get the point. This place is a cross between Safeway, Whole Foods, Walmart, and Costco. It has all your standard items, but also has a ton of items in bulk. But, not just things you would find at Whole Foods, but also items that you always wished they had in bulk AND things you didn't think were even available in bulk or otherwise. You can also find cool snacks such as Butterfinger Popcorn or Honey Butter bowtie crackers. Lastly, they do not take your standard credit card here. They do take debit card though. I learned that the hard way in the self-checkout line. I looked like a fool! But, I look like that anyway, so it was just normal for me. read more

Extremely aggressive and disrespectful employees. It's not like I expected any wonderful treatment from a grocery store, but when you ask a question the employees act like it's a massive inconvenience to even answer you. The older employees are especially condescending. So much so I've just stopped talking to the staff as much as possible. One time in particular the milk was not stocked properly so I had to push an EMPTY cart out of the way to get to the back cart that was FULL of milk. Why have an empty cart with no product in front of the product ppl need to buy? Apparently this was massively illegal to one of the employees, an elderly man with no name tag, who proceeded to lecture me as if I was his disobedient daughter rather than a customer. I thought staff was supposed to remain polite, not berate you as if you're their own flesh and blood they can abuse and get away with it. This incident was really upsetting to me and I told the man "I understand. I'm sorry. Please leave me alone." To which he just got more angry and reiterated "You are not allowed to touch those carts." Which he had already said MANY times prior in an aggressive tone and that's why I was crying. This prompted me to say more firmly "I understand sir, PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE." WHY? Why did I have to repeat myself just to get him to back off? I ended up leaving the store in tears. All because I had the audacity to reach far back and try and get a gallon of milk that was not up front to easily get. I have never had any problems with Winco in the past, but this one in particular deserves it's low star rating hundreds of times over! The majority of the staff actively hate every person that walks through those doors and the managers do not care enough to fire them and replace them with nicer ppl. read more

Fly in my salad I was so excited to eat my $2.18 already made salad, and went I opened it up, there was a dead fly right on top. I have never been so upset in my life. Please be aware that this location of Winco foods seems to uphold a different belief of the justice system. That being, guilty until proven innocent. I was checking out with the cashier, a Ms. Yen, and apparently I counted my bagels wrong. There were 14 rather then 13. How absolutely criminal of me to do! She then called over a manager and they went though my entire cart of food one by one. Even though I was putting everything on the belt and in the process of buying it all even before the bagels were the next item to be scanned. When I asked "All this because I miscounted?" not a single answer was given to me. I have a brand new born baby at home and I was utterly sleep deprived. I miscounted because I was out of my mind with stress and sleep. Is that why you treated me this way? Because I wasn't wearing makeup and beautiful like your regular female customers should be at 8am? Perhaps you need to put up a sign outside the reads 'No ugly women allowed please remember to take pride in your appearance for the opposite gender'. At the end the manager double checked the receipt that was handed to him before it was handed to me and I was escorted out of the building. I admit, before the manager left I sassily replied "Do you want to call the cops and arrest me for not doing anything?" But yet again the manager said nothing. I shall be taking my money that I was going to use to buy lots and lots of formula to a different store. Thank you very much. read more

If all foods that have been a problem, mine is Tator Tots! First Problem: Winco brand was terrible and had problems getting crisp in an air fryer! Had to return! Second Problem: Bought national brand tator tots. It appaz though they defrosted and were refrozen. We threw them out and won't return to this store. Just because the place is employee owned doesn't necessarily make it better. People, by nature, are less inclined to do the right thing, such as throwing away spoiled goods, if it is reflected in bonuses or profit sharing . read more

It was very nice to see this employee owned business come to Albany. This store is clean and the employees are friendly. I love the large bulk food section. This was my go to grocery store, well until today's visit. I had a cashier today named Brian W who was by far the rudest cashier I've ever come across. I asked him how much I could take out using my debit card, I was told "$100 but only if my bank approves it!" WHAT? I WAS SO EMBARRASSED! After my transaction was approved he then said very loudly "WOW, THAT WAS APPROVED!" I love this store but this was terrible. read more

Very displeased with the level of customer service we received. The selection is good and store is clean, but that means nothing when the employ are rude to the customers. When we went to checkout one of the group of three forgot their id so the lady checking us out (Stella) could not sell to us which was fine, but the way she went about it was disrespectful. She talked down to us and when I have her cash to pay, she miscounted and rudely told me I gave her the incorrect amount (mistaken a $50 for a $5) and treated us like we were dumb. Cherry on top was we walked back in to use the bathroom after we took our groceries to the car, she snapped at us from her checkout station. If this is the level of respect the employees have for customers I will not shop there. read more

Maybe deserves five stars. I don't patronize the two in Salem because I'm not crazy about the assaultive behavior in the parking lots, hence I don't have full-range shopping experience with Winco. This is a BIG new store and the deli section looks more extensive than usual. Can't beat their bulk section. They have automated checkout stations with intuitive software. If I lived close by it would be my go-to grocery, albeit in perishable produce they can be weak. read more

Throwing my groceries down the belt and then when my friend accidentally put in her credit card instead of debit card she yelled at her even have my friend had switched cards. I'm disgusted on how I saw a young woman was turning into a parking spot and a man wouldn't let her park. I saw the manager go to her and say there is other places to park. DO NOT buy the Sushi at Winco in Albany. The Company is called Silver Fox and they have the Sushi Franchise at Winco and Fred Meyer in Albany. The product I bought at Winco was old and bad. It was being sold on its "pull date", which I did not notice until I got it home. It was NOT a raw product, but cooked. The rice was stale tasting and very dry. And when I spoke with the Regional Manager in California about their lousy sushi, he just hemmed around and did not offer a refund, he just wanted me to send pictures! I now know that I will never buy product from Silver Fox, again, whether it is at Winco or Fred Meyer. It made me sick!!! Otherwise, Winco is wonderful as are all the Employees! Great Prices at this store. I usually find stuff I want. I make sure I shop early in the morning as it is crowded later in the day. My only complaint is that the cottage cheese I like is only on the top shelf and I have a very difficult time reaching it. I actually like the layout of the Corvallis store better as things are easier to find. Employees are always friendly. read more

I came here for groceries and I had a terrible experience in this Albany WinCo foods at the self check out. The woman (Oper#894) who worked at self check out today Saturday 10/13/2018 around 8:30 pm she came to look at the items we already checked and watched almost every items we checked out at SCO. She acted like we cheated or tried to steal some things. This is a message to the woman who worked at self check out at the time and the date mentioned above. I am A BUSINESS OWNER .. NOT A HOMELESS MAN like you thought and I think my 1 day earning may be more than your 1 month pay check ( I came there with my wife and two boys so you could figure out who I was) Note that this is the human qualities offensive and also a very very poor and unprofessional customer service. This store is amazing simply awesome! the prices are fantastic the employees are for the most part friendly and helpful the selection is wonderful only down side its like 25 mins away from us but hey its better then the Corvallis distance im so happy they finally opened this store its a pleasure shopping here only down side everyone else thinks so to so its always over crowded...lol read more
