Kim and Dave are the two finest real estate professionals I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in 58 years of living. They are simply amazing. I've sold 7 homes in my lifetime and over the years have been consistently disappointed in the agents I have hired. Most of them only cared about the commission and seemed to have a genuine dislike for everyone involved in the transaction. Not, so with Kim and Dave. They really are different than the run of the mill agent. They never gave up and just kept working hard for me, looking for that one buyer that would appreciate what our home had to offer. I really felt like I was Kim and Daves only client, even though you can see by their reviews, they have so many it's hard to count. Their skill level is a 10 (Kim knows the fine details inside out) ... their ability to understand their clients needs is a 10 ... attention to detail is a 10 (Kim and Dave did not make a single mistake or error) and negotiating skills a 10 (best negotiating team ever). And fair negotiators ... making sure both sides got what they want and needed. I think that's important, because if you take short cuts and don't make sure everyone is happy, your deal is prone to collapse at the worst possible moment. I would never even consider using another agent or team of agents. If I moved to the Alaska, I would ask Kim to get licensed there so she could handle the transaction for me. The highest recommendation possible. There is no way you would be disappointed with Kim and Dave. The only reason someone in Scottsdale would hire someone else is that they weren't lucky enough to read all these truthful reviews.

I've lived here for over a year, so I feel like I can give a pretty fair and balanced review…read more Starting with the positives, the residents here are generally respectful, the area feels very safe, and the location is extremely convenient being right next to Desert Ridge and High Street. The pool area and rooftop lounge were honestly some of my favorite amenities, and the main common areas are usually kept clean and look nice. Now for the downsides.The biggest issue is definitely the noise insulation between floors. You can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs neighbors. Unfortunately, the neighbors above me had toddlers, and the noise became so bad that not only I could hear it, but even the residents beside and below me could hear it too. Eventually they had to switch units because of the complaints. I don't necessarily blame them though -- the building just seems very cheaply made when it comes to soundproofing. I could even hear my neighbors opening drawers, and I know my downstairs neighbors could hear me walking around my apartment too. I've also heard several other residents complain about this same issue. The internet here has also been extremely frustrating, especially since I work remotely from home. There was one point where the Wi-Fi through out the entire Sunela community was out for almost two full days, and even after recent upgrades, my internet still cuts out almost every morning while I'm working. The attention to certain issues have also been inconsistent. My dishwasher has never fully worked the entire time I've lived here despite multiple maintenance visits trying to fix it. Also Package handling has also been frustrating. There were multiple times I thought my packages were stolen, only to later find out the leasing office had been holding them without notifying me. At one point, I was even given an Amazon package three months after it had originally been delivered. Resident events are pretty limited as well. They almost NEVER do resident events. They recently just had a few that they threw together within the same week, but hopefully they can keep it going to continue putting out more resident events. There were even times events were advertised and then never actually happened like the cheesecake trucks. Overall, this apartment has great amenities, a great location, and a generally respectful community, but the poor soundproofing, internet issues, maintenance problems, and package handling definitely affected my experience living here.

The property has an excellent location adjacent to Scottsdale Quarter, but in my opinion, the location is the property's biggest asset. Unfortunately, my experience with the management team and the overall condition of the property did not live up to the premium rents charged here. My move-out inspection was a perfect example. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. for my final walk-through and was told to return at 2:00 p.m. because the maintenance technician needed to be present. I came back as instructed, then sat in the leasing office for another 30 minutes while other matters were handled ahead of me. Around 2:35 p.m., I was told to walk over to my apartment and meet the maintenance technician there. I waited another 10 minutes, but no one ever showed up. Only after I returned to the office did Jennifer Pond agree to complete the inspection herself. The inspection took just a few minutes because the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned and was in excellent condition. The only item noted was two screws left in the wall where I had mounted a heavy mirror. After spending nearly two hours waiting for a walk-through that ultimately took almost no time at all, I was told I would be charged $50 to remove those two screws. It felt incredibly petty given the circumstances and left a disappointing final impression. Beyond the move-out experience, I had ongoing concerns during my tenancy. The B1 parking garage consistently had a noticeable sewage odor. The residential hallways frequently had stained carpeting and a musty or mildew smell that never seemed to improve. Those are not the conditions I expect from a luxury apartment community. If you're considering living here, I encourage you to look beyond the beautiful leasing office and the proximity to Scottsdale Quarter. Walk through the parking garage. Walk the residential hallways on multiple floors. Pay attention to the cleanliness, odors, and overall maintenance of the property before signing a lease. Everyone's experience will be different, but mine was disappointing enough that I cannot recommend Broadstone at Scottsdale Quarter.

He knew exactly what to do, he can almost predict how things will turn out. He is really responsive, and when I mean responsive, I mean you can call him and he's going to pick up or respond in some form almost immediately. You can tell Jaques is passionate about real estate to the point that you almost see him get excited when looking at properties. Most of our process was done online due to COVID, but when you want to look at a property, he will work with you. Horrific experience - Avoid at all costs…read more I have never dealt with a more dishonest and incompetent management team. From day one, Halsten Apartments repeatedly tried to slip in bogus charges during my tenancy. Every single time, I challenged them, proved they were wrong, and they quietly backed down without apology. It was a pattern of behavior, not an accident. The manager, Matt Vasquez, is unprofessional and dishonest. He routinely made claims about "lease provisions" that simply did not exist. When I asked him to show me the exact section, he couldn't. He would just insist it was "in there," which it wasn't. His conduct was not only misleading but often outright illegal. He acts like someone who peaked in high school and now abuses a small amount of authority. Health and safety are an absolute nightmare. The ventilation system in my unit was contaminated with mold, and it made me seriously ill. I repeatedly notified management and asked them to address it properly, but they ignored or dismissed my concerns. Breathing in that environment left me extremely sick. Instead of taking accountability or sending qualified remediation, they downplayed it and deflected responsibility. Living here literally made me physically ill. Security is just as bad. I had a dangerous stalker trespassing on the property, and management did absolutely nothing. Instead of helping, they confiscated my Ring camera without permission, a blatant violation of the lease and my privacy rights. When I told them about the trespasser, their response (attached) was basically: "Call the police, we're not putting ourselves in danger." There was zero concern for tenant safety or well-being. To make matters worse, the hot tub has been broken for over a year. Despite countless follow-ups from residents, management never fixed it. Their excuse was that it was "too complicated" to repair, a laughable response given the rent prices here. It's a perfect example of their laziness and total disregard for the amenities they advertise. The only positive thing about this complex was the maintenance team, who were professional and responsive. Everything else was an absolute disaster. I have never had a more horrific rental experience. Between the mold, the dishonesty, the illegal conduct, and the utter disregard for safety, this was by far the worst property I've ever lived in. Do yourself a favor and never live here. Most of their positive Google reviews are fake and/or paid for. They don't reflect the reality of what residents actually experience. Most importantly, don't believe any fabricated response to my review.
