I lived at the Inspiration for a year and a half in 1br and 2br. In both apartments I had cockroaches multiple times running around in my apartment and nothing but issues. This community is infested with cockroaches. outside of that it's noisy and dirty.... they don't invest much in the community. This are old and run down apartments they have issues. parking is a mess and their maintenance team are rude and will complain about you submitting work orders.... they also damaged my tires as a retaliatory act.... I had to pay to replace 2 tires. Their Internet service is CenturyLink GFast which is horrible !!!! their customer service is as well horrible. no cox cable option ! Also when you move they will wipe your deposit and it's all planned.... they charge $150 for cleaning and 85 for carpet cleaning which is a BS just to make revenue. Do yourself a favor and find some were else to live.... this apartment complex is like prison you can hear your neighbors like they live with you. read more

I really tried to like it here and didn't want to post anything, but we drove 24 hours moving across the country to move in here. When we moved in we were exhausted. Clearly the tenant before us smoked as walking on the carpet and floors turned out feet black and found cigarette buds in the window sill months afterwards when opening the windows when temperatures cooled. The carpet should of been replaced prior to us moving in but we bought a steam cleaner and cleaned them ourselves. Additionally, numerous cabinets literally pulled off the hinges when just opening normally (I fixed them), a towel rack pulled off the wall after putting a single towel on it. Gaps in the front door were so bad that stuff would blow into the entry way. The fridge died in the first few weeks and installed the cheapest fridge without even an ice maker. We blew this off and worked with the apartment. Now they are coming back charging a carpet cleaning fee for carpet that I would be embarrassed to have a new tenant move into owning my own rentals. Besides one part of the carpet that got torn up a little bit, we left the apartment in better shape than when we moved in. If you all really just steamed cleaned that carpet and let someone move in I feel bad for the new tenant. Sad to end on something like this as the maintenance guy and front office lady were nice to work with, but some corporate Amber chick had to ruin it. read more

My dog was injured a few weeks ago when the metal front panel to the dog poop bag dispenser came off and whacked him in the head. After tending to him I came back and noticed why it had fallen off. The maintenance staff clearly hadn't actually screwed in the screws to secure it but instead had just slid one in there, in what I can only imagine was a moment of extreme laziness. The complex is falling apart. There seems to be no mind paid to keeping the appearance neat and orderly. The sidewalks are in desperate need of a power washing, trash collects in the shrubs, and the exterior condition of the buildings is starting to look like a hurricane recently came through. Additionally I don't care to see a maintenance man smoking on the clock, riding his motorbike for joyrides around the complex, wearing pants that often droop low enough to get a good sight of his underpants and the fact that I can hear him using profanity so loud as he "works" around the complex is pretty off-putting. read more

The buildings are not maintained. My window has a literal hole in it and the maintenance person just told me it is "meant to be that way" for "ventilation." I'm sorry, no, windows are literally meant to separate your home from outside. If there is a hole in the window it needs to be replaced. I have continual maintenance problems in my apartment including sinks not working, draining, bathrooms breaking, cabinets are broken, etc. read more

Heidi, Sarah at the front desk & Brian and Erick at maintenance have done an excellent job onboarding us into Inspiration at Frank Lloyd Wright in Scottsdale, Arizona. Heidi & Sarah at the front desk have been very caring and professional from the very start. Places go fast here and Heidi was able to lock in the unit I wanted and the whole process is very streamlined. They provide a welcome packet and there is an online onboarding website that reminds you what utilities to turn on. Upon the first walkthrough there were some issues with the kitchen and bedroom but the front office was able to sort it out before we came back with the moving truck. Another plus was that the front office was able to let in the cable person to install our Wifi so we were up & running on move in. One thing to note is that you can only have CenturyLink (DSL) here and not COX or other provider, so if you our modem/router you will have to bridge it. There were some small issues and some BIG issues and Brian and Erick in the maintenance team came right away every time I submitted a request which you can easily do with the secure phone app. The building and surrounding area is very nice. The place is family friendly and my wife feels safe here. There is a giant target across the street within walking distance and on the other side of the 101 are even more shops/restaurant/bars a giant Walmart & Costco nearby. The public school is an 8/10 Redfield elementary and the Principle Dr. Rand is excellent. The Middle school is 8/10 read more

Feels like a prison. You can hear your neighbor casually talking through the walls. Management will move in unqualified maintenance people into the apartment next to you. These unqualified people will then drive you crazy as you can hear everything through the paper thin walls. When you try to move out they will squeeze every last penny out of you they possibly can. Oh you left you trash can out? That will be a $25 fine please. I don't care that your entire apartment smells because we make you keep your trash inside. read more

I've lived here since 2015 and have seen some Management come and go. The past few years have been super consistent with Ryann and Sarah managing the complex and they have done a terrific job! They are quick to answer calls, host tons of great community events, keep up with social media and let's be honest...They deal with my irrational requests. I've lived here for the past 4 years and absolutely love Inspiration. Our neighbors are like family and everyone is so friendly. Sarah and Carla in the office are always so helpful and delightful. I always stop by the office just to say hi and my dogs love Sarah! Everything about Inspiration is fabulous, from the inside of our townhomes to the pool and the complex amenities. My boyfriend was moving out ahead of us (from the east coast) for a job. Never being out here before he contacted the property and they made it SO easy, virtual walk thru of the apartment and all online paperwork made for a smooth transition. Our daughter and I came out here last year and so we had to upgrade apartments and again amazing experience. Video walk thru for me to see the apartment, answered all my questions and quick and easy closure of the paperwork. It was seamless. It has been an exceptionally experience living here, quiet and the two instances we did have with neighbors quickly resolved. Sara is incredible and always on top of our questions, helping to find our packages (thanks FedEx you make me nutty) and the maintenance staff is here in a jiffy if we need anything done. LOUD LOUD LOUD!!! This place is the loudest apartment complex you'll find. GUARANTEED. Do yourself a favor and walk away. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice apartment complex with a gorgeous pool area and the interior of the units are modern and nice but it's really not worth it! Even if you're not a sensitive or light sleeper.. it'll still be too loud. When facing the leasing office, ALL ALL ALL the apartments to the right hand side is an absolute NO GO! Its like a zoo!! There's a ridiculously loud exhaust totally supped up car that starts and leaves every morning at 6am. So even if you're not near the car, it'll drive by revving the engine and you'll wake! Then there are the barking dogs early in the morning. Walk the dogs.. that's fine but when they're barking nonstop at 6am.. that's uncalled for. Its not just one person, it's many!! It's not the dogs fault, it's the human's fault! They also let the dogs urinate in all random places through out the complex instead of the doggy park! So imagine the smell! That car really is ridiculous at 6am, I don't know how that is allowed! They should have it park out front or away from residence! When we first moved in there was one issue w/ our neighbors dog which was resolved through management but we quickly realized there were too many issues to be resolved. Then you're on the corner of Frank Lloyd Wright and 90th St by the 101, all of which are busy roads and super loud with cars zooming by! The apartment units to the left of the leasing office, I cannot speak for. But since the cars are all parked tandem usually with one parked outside, I can imagine it being loud. Units are very closely packed so the noise doesn't have to travel far. We've been here for 5 months now but really can't take it anymore. So we went in asking about changing units and the leasing manager said there were none available on the other side of the complex for another 2 months, all available units are on the right hand side.. well I wonder why!. The fees will roughly be $400 and rent will be at the new rental rate for whichever unit. Which is going to be higher because of the season or whatever. The walls are thin like paper!! Any noise goes right through! Trash day is Tuesday, recycle day is Friday, then there's the landscapers once a week. And they come early too! So no good sleep! The staff seemed really nice, but now thinking back, a little dishonest. Before we signed the lease, I asked specifically if this was a quieter unit... she said yes that all the units are quiet and the complex is always quiet. We liked the complex and wanted to live here but just wanted a quieter unit; we were willing to wait. But we find out the car has lived there for 4 years.. and the dog neighbor has been here for 5.. they knew darn well the situation and lied! The only internet provider is CenturyLink, which I've also had billing issues with them for the last few months! So that doesn't help the frustration! One positive is the pool and grill area is very nice! All in all, the place inside and out looks great, but just don't do it! Thank me later! read more

Update in response to Sarah- all documentation and evidence has always been properly provided and abided by - inspiration is well aware of the conditions the unit was rented to me in and left in despite my evidence which has not only been provided to you but will also be posted throughout the Internet. Concerns have always been communicated ---just never actually addressed by inspiration. You Sarah are a great breath of fresh air to the overall operation (and success) and I thank you for that (I have faith that if you were the initial one showing me the units before I moved in; that I wouldn't of been taken advantage of the second I stepped on property and over charged more in monthly rent for the 2 years of my residency for a unit that was not upgraded than what those with the same upgraded units that I communicated with were charged less in monthly rent than me). Future tenants deserve to know the truth about what's in store when renting from Inspiration at Frank Lloyd wright. Lived here for 2 years - after talking to numerous neighbors I realized I was paying more monthly in rent than those who had upgraded units (for a unit that was not upgraded). Upon move in was filthy conditions (highly recommend recording- record all interactions w office- AZ is 1 party consent and it is legal for you to record any conversation in the state without informing the other party). During the 2 years of living here- I never had the screen on my sliding door despite it being repaired 2x (I was never able to leave my sliding door open - at all- because my screen was never on the track, after 2x of them coming to fix it -I gave up). I unfortunately have video of Maitnence illegally entering into my apartment (while I was getting dressed) with NO proper notice whatsoever- entering without notice - other neighbors have complained of the same occurance of entering without any notice. Water damage in unit while being there, was promised proper remediation of water damage flooring - it never happened , was never properly remediate therefore water sat still and mold eventually formed - this is a very common theme with multiple neighbors- refusal of sitting water remediation (cdc guidelines)- even at move out walk through after reminding them they shrugged it off stating "we will leave it as is". Please Keep peeking the tube for a inspiration at FLW dedicated channel. Notice the condition of move in and out conditions on the tube- you will still be charged cleaning fee for leaving your unit in documented cleaner condition than what it was when you moved in. Talk to your neighbors, get to know them. They are much more trustworthy. Carpet is never replaced yet you're charged for new or replaced carpet (nonexistent). None (0) of the (7-8) side gates (street access) lock whatsoever- meaning gates are unlocked 24/7 for anyone to freely walk inside from the street. Electric gates left open over night for weeks at a time, see photo. There is certainly 0 sense of security due to the obvious lack thereof- walk around and see for yourself with all the gates that don't lock. Pool/spa/gym are closed yearly for 2 months in late summer/ early fall. Trash bin overflow is a weekly regular occurance- only one trash bin for entire complex otherwise you're forced to keep stinky trash in your garage (gross) and they will threaten you otherwise if not abided by due to refusal to have another community trash bin for the complex. The only thing decent about living here was the great neighbors / friends made and met. Other than that, you will find a house with a yard you can rent for the cost of a one bedroom here. When it is time to renew your lease they will offer you % off your overall new + raised Year/renewal quote to get you to stay... once all is said and done- very glad and grateful to have gotten out sooner than later unlike others. I stumbled upon this neighborhood just driving by and was impressed with the cleanliness of the neighborhood. I relocated from Atlanta and got thrown into my job, with no time to look for a place to live. Sarah facilitated everything and really took a lot of time to help me. She made the horrible process of moving a very easy transition for me. The complex is nice and very quiet. Sarah had my apartment ready for me before it was scheduled to be move-in ready. I can't say enough about the entire staff here. Customer service is a bit of a lost art these days, but the people at Inspiration go above and beyond. I told Sarah that even if I didn't like the apartment (which I love), I would still move in because I love the people in the leasing office. Ryann is fabulous, too. I have lived here for over a year and love this place! The office and staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met and they are always so accommodating. I have had very few maintenance issues and the few that I've had have been rectified within 24 hours, no waiting and no fussing! The maintenance crew is great and everyone is very professional. My Central air units are also some f the most efficient I've ever had - keeps my place really cool in the summers and low cost energy bills! I've not lived in apartments much so there is little I can compare to. However, if my experience here is to be a benchmark then Everything is Awesome !! From signing the lease to exiting the premises, I have nothing but good things to say about how professionally the entire journey was handled. In the staff, I would give a big shout out to Ryann, who goes above and beyond in ensuring all residents' needs are met. She is reliable, a true professional and always there to help with a smile. With communal living, of course there are things that need to be constantly evolve, but I always noticed there was a continuous machinery of people who are helping the residents from general maintenance of the property to regulatory checks. And although I never attended the communal events, the taco Tuesdays etc but I always was informed of those via emails. I'm sure they must have been fun. Another big shout out to the maintenance team. This place uses an online issue logging system for any break fixes. I used the service a number of times and was astounded when, each time, the maintenance team was at my door within 12 hours (for non emergency fixes). No chasing, not constant reminding the building manager. Just log a ticket and there they are. read more

Overpriced with poor quality and terrible service. Aesthetically it looks nice at first, but the poor quality reveals itself soon enough. The carpet is cheap and gross. I'm not sure how to describe the fake wood flooring. It looks like they haphazardly laid a giant paper sticker to look like wood. Make no mistake, their renovations are shoddy at best. My apartment is overrun with ants and termites. I don't want to open my blinds because the outsides of my windows are filthy with giant, thick cobwebs. It's all very unpleasant. I've only called maintenance three times in the almost year that I've lived here and each time it has taken no less than a week for someone to fulfill the request. I mean, how long does it take to change the air conditioner filters?! Same thing when I asked them to take care of the termites in the garage. And then they come back in no time like little veins up the wall. The only positive about the complex is my nice neighbors. But I'm sure we'll all be rolling through very quickly. I would recommend checking out other complexes in the area before Alexan. I made a quick decision about moving in here and have been less than thrilled with the experience, to say the least. read more

I moved into the Alexan October 2015. I really like this place and all that it offers. It's always kept extremely clean by the landscapers and maintenance has always been responsive and efficient. The reason I am leaving a review at this time is because of the new staff that works in the office. I have personally dealt with Ryann Griggs and couldn't be happier with all that she has done for me. Miss Griggs always returns my messages in a timely fashion and patiently answers all my questions thoroughly. She has explained procedures and details about the property that quite frankly were never explained by the prior leasing agents. I myself work in customer service so I definitely appreciate when someone like Miss Griggs always makes sure the customer/renter is taken care of. I highly recommend Alexan and know that Ryann Griggs will make the experience of apartment hunting so much better. read more

I have just moved out of this apartment because of relocation of my job. Before that I lived in the apartment for almost a year. I don't have much to say about this complex, it's an average quality complex in this area. it worth 2.5 stars. (I read a review below mentioning about dog poops I totally agree that was annoying indeed when I was living in there). And their property manager Brent Leigh is the reason I added another 2.5 stars. He made it possible that I moved in the very same day I checked the apartment and decided to move in, And ever since that he has being a reliable and basically the best property manager I have ever met. He helped me to make my living in Alexan easier and simpler. For those gave one star rating I feel sympathy with what you guys experienced and felt about the apartment. But at least mine is good, besides Brent their maintenance response is quick and efficient ( at least I felt so). So I would recommend this complex as long as Brent is still the property manager there :) read more

The updated apts are nice. I love my townhouse, great space, SS Appliances, wood floors and granite countertops. Lease prices are on the upper end of the scale. Downside is you are locked into using Century link for Internet and cable and they are pricing and the Internet is slow and sketchy. Maintenance is great, things get fixed quickly after putting in a request. Convenient location to shopping and the 101 Fairly quiet except during bike week when you can hear all their concerts for free. LOL AND ON July 4th you have a front row seat for free for Wedt Worlds fireworks. read more

There's a few reasons why I ended up moving into the first place I looked at when I was getting divorced. First, I liked the location, conveniently located close to lots of things I love. Second, the gated complex/grounds/townhouse itself. Recently updated, I'm very pleased with the general look of the place inside and out, and all the neighbors I've met so far have been super friendly. Last but not least, my leasing agent Ryann. I haven't looked at a lot of rental places in quite a while so I really wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment I walked in the door of Inspiration a few months ago Ryann had already made me feel welcome and comfortable. And that was even *before* I would see her exceptional customer service when it came to the multiple needs and requests I had before, during, and after move in. Not only did Ryann nail everything I asked, every time, she did it with a smile. This is someone that loves what she does and it shows! Regarding some of the other reviews here, I can honestly say those days must be in the past. Ryann is obviously great (see above), but I've also had stellar service from Soana on numerous occasions. I have no qualms stating that whatever issues were happening then clearly seem to be in the past. The maintenance I had requested prior to move in was all completed on time, and the couple minor things that have come up post move in have been dealt with immediately and the maintenance guys I have dealt with have also been top notch. So yes, in my honest opinion, Inspiration deserves all 5 of these stars! I'd have no issues whatsoever recommending this place to my family and friends. read more

Location location location usually is the determining factor when it comes to picking an apartment complex. Yes the Alexan/Inspiration has an ideal location next to shopping, freeway access, restaurants, schools, and parks while being in North Scottsdale. I lived at the Alexan/Inspiration for 4 years because of the front office team. They make the experience a good one or a bad one, and the Inspiration has a phenomenal front office team. You also can't beat the floor plans and price. If you shop around, it's hard to find gated one or two car garage townhome style apartments with amazing upgrades. It's a small, cozy, safe, well maintained complex smack dab in the middle of North Scottsdale. read more

Please do NOT rent at this apartment complex!!! Until they change management you will not receive the experience you deserve for the price they charge. I lived there for a number of years and it has steadily gone down in quality and service. My air conditioning went out numerous times during the summer and the response time was slow to resolve. The property manager Soana is not concerned with customer service and evidently does not care about retaining tenants. Until they change management I would not recommend. There are too many other options that offer better service for for the same price! UPDATE: Thank you for your response. I just ask that you you reflect that in your actions vs words. The customer service issues related to dishonesty on hidden charges at the end of lease were the last straw for me! I am glad that you are acknowledging you need to improve your service and have posted a response. I have had no other issues with anyone on staff besides Soana so I am happy she had recognized she needs to make some changes. Hopefully things will be better for future tenants! read more

I wouldn't give them any stars at all. The day we moved in the apartment was dirty carpet stained and scratches on the walls. We reported that to the office and they said that maintenance was going to come in to take care of that but they never showed up. A week ago our neighbor caught his town home on fire, and ours suffered a lot of water and smoke damages. We didn't heard from the property manager until we contacted them to see what was the plan and when the out house was going to be ready for us to move back. So far it's been a week and our house is a complete disaster. we really like the home and the location but they lack customer service skills. We moved from Texas and we were not familiar with the area and didn't have a lot of time to find a place since my husbands job needed him here ASAP. I am pretty sure that we can find something much better for the same price... My advise is to look somewhere else!!! read more

We just moved in today! Help!!! I feel as if we have no rights. Filthy unit and no ac all day! It's 110 degrees out and we have a 6 month old baby. Spoke with Kristen property manager who sent over maintenance. Still not working and what does manager do? Leaves!! Told her I would call the police. She said we are in lease agreement now. Been here for one day. Run! Do not rent here. Any advice would be welcomed for our family. read more

I renewed my lease here continuing on a second year! This is a unique little GATED COMMUNITY that accommodates lots of living options. These are tall narrow 3 story or 2 story town homes with attached garages that definitely are a necessity for those who need to utilize that space - also it's way more accommodating financially if you don't have the money to get into a house because if I recall I don't even think my security deposit was a whole moths rent- that always helps during stressful moves- the unit is nice - I know they've been transitioning through upgrades. My upgraded unit is very nice - some people say they have noisy units - not the case with all- And you don't even have neighbors above or below you which is a huge selling point for a place - that being said - some PEOPLE are louder than others but the quality of the places are nice The property- Because it's tiny and it's gated - it's not really designed for mass traffic - that being said - if everybody drives slow like they should - there's no problems-the property for the most part is clean and kept for they have gardeners come in the morning- they even just redesigned the trash can area even tho it's not meant for dumping since each unit has a trash can and recycle can that gets picked up once a week - they just redesigned the spa and pool deck and there's a great demographic of all ages that i noticed- I'm 31 and there's plenty of people my age and even older because Arizona is a great travel destination during our winter season - there is a dog park for the dogs which is a great newer addition to a lot of accommodating developments- however I'm not a fan of the synthetic grass and it's just better to have real grass - to just to smelly and hard to clean- that would be my only complaint- sometimes there is dog poo on sides in the rocks and stuff BUT THATS THE OWNERS FAULT!!! SHAME ON THEM AND ANYONE WHO DOESNT PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOG!!! ITS GROSS AND THIS PLACE HAS DOG BAGS ALWAYS FULL ON EVERY CORNER! Gym- It's a tiny gym but it works - they have a set of dumbbells all the to 50lbs They have a multi workout unit -and a few cardio machines- it's kept pretty clean for the most part again it's people not the place! They also keep clean wipes for the equipment and offer free towels to use and filtered water! A great addition to have within walking distance Maintenance- can't complain- they hustle they always get it done right and fulfill all work orders on time - at least for my unit- I can't speak on more. They are friendly and will stop everything to help if you catch them and ask them something. I think a lot of ppl tend to forget - these are not detached houses- you will have some things to go wrong it happens even to homeowners- difference is - you don't have to shell out the expenses - apartments and townhouses should be temporary- the goal is homeownership with incentives, and if you choose to stay in something smaller and rented - THESE ARE A GOOD REASONABLE OPTION in a pricey Scottsdale. The staff- The staff is wonderful! I've read some past comments and wondered if they were even thinking of the same people- I know the whole staff by name as well they know yours! They take the time to make you feel welcome!- they set up parties and goodies and even hand out dog treats! In my opinion the staff makes the place! Everyone here is super friendly and helpful- and try to go out of their way to make sure they can to make your living better- all in all this place is worth checking out. I'd give more stars if I could read more

I went in to ask about an add on CL. Not only was the add false, the older blonde woman who helped me was extremely rude. Why work with people if your attitude is so poor and makes the company look bad. Little did she know that I am a Native American Artist and the numbers were not an issue, however I would not give a commission to someone who represents the company so poorly. read more

I lived at the Alexan/ Inspiration complex from January 2016 to January 2017. I chose them for the gated complex, the layout (three story townhomes with a garage that showcased modern remodels.) My apartment itself was nice enough. I did go without air conditioning in the summer for over a week while they made repairs to the unit and I experienced a flooding that maintenance repaired in a timely fashion but failed to dry properly and eventually brought mildew to my home. Those were my minor complaints. I also had a very noisy neighbor the last 5 months of my lease that would regularly argue so loudly that another neighbor would call the police and my door would be knocked on and asked what I had heard as well. My largest frustration was the lack of service from the management staff. Even after the property changed owners it was impossible to find someone to retrieve a package for you or to get assistance from. My wait time for help was 30 minutes plus for retrieving packages etc. I was also surprised at how I was nickel and dimed after move out despite my asking for a walk through before I left the state and being told they didn't have time for one. A nice layout and a decent remodel to the units themselves but better and additional staff to support the needs of the community is needed. read more

I have lived at The Alexan since September of 2010. When I first moved here, the property management company was Greystar, however this changed in summer of 2012. The property is now managed by Holland Residential and the staff is all new. When Holland took over management, they fired/forced out all of the current staff and maintenance people. Since this has happened, the service has been absolutely pitiful. If something small like a clogged drain needed to be fixed before, they used to have someone here the following day, now it takes days/weeks and multiple calls to get someone to stop by. The office staff is another major problem, most of them are really rude and ignorant people that don't seem to have the time to deal with you. Their hours are another issue. I have had packages delivered and rushed to get home from work, only to find that they have closed or locked the doors 5-10 minutes before they are scheduled to close for that day. They recently changed their hours to where they are not even open on Sunday's anymore, so if Sunday is your only available day, you can forget about it. About a year ago, they also did away with the rent drop, so now you have to physically take your rent checks up to the office and hand them to an employee during business hours. This wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't have a roommate where we split the rent and each write a check for rent each month. As for the apartments themselves, they are middle of the road. I must admit that since I have lived here for three years, I am in one of the non-remodeled apartments, and I understand that they are quite a bit better, but the unit that I am in is nothing special, and definitely not "luxury". They are pretty over-priced for what you get. There are issues both big and small with this apartment complex, but if you are concerned about being treated with respect and having your issues dealt with in a timely manner, this is not the place for you. read more
