I had two each, 8' x 12' Windor 3 panel slider doors installed by mancino doors and windows. They won't stay in adjustment and Windor won't help as mancino installed them. Bad manufacturer that sells to bad installers so Windor can separate themselves from warranty work....It's too bad as the price, delivery and quality were good....they just don't believe in customer service so I have doors sooooo poorly adjusted they won't lock and they won't stay in adjustment. After getting estimates from 3 different window companies, I recently had three old aluminum windows replaced by WinDor. One of the companies is one that does a lot of radio advertising, and the other two, including WinDor, were companies who had recently done whole house window replacement for close friends. Tyler, the WinDor salesman was friendly and straightforward, no high pressure. After reviewing his proposal a couple days later, I realized there was a mathematical error in the computation of the final price (an error in my favor). I brought the error to Tyler's attention, and to his credit he stood by the bottom line price. One of the companies I disregarded because their price was sky high. The other company was also priced higher than WinDor, but their windows were manufactured by an well established, window company and they just do the installation and service. WinDor was the only company that actually manufactured, installed and serviced their own windows. I spent a lot of time visiting the showrooms of the two companies I had narrowed it down to, and given the location of the windows I was purchasing (facing the side of my house and not visible), I decided the WinDor product would work well and I couldn't justify the cost of the other brand. The techincal measurement crew came out as promised and a couple of weeks later my windows were installed. The installation crew was prompt, courteous and neat. The job was finished in about an hour less than originally estimated. The new windows look great, both inside and outside of the house. Upon the final walk through, I noticed there was a gouge in the vinyl frame. I pointed it out to the head installer, he took photos and made a note of it, explaining that WinDor had an outside company they would send to my home at no cost to me, to repair the gouge. Overall a good experience. If it hadn't been for the need to repair the window, I would have given 5 stars. The window was repaired to my complete satisfaction, and the gouge is invisible. read more

just had my patio window replaced after I accidently broke it while cutting grass and hit a rock. I am truly grateful that win-dor backs up their warranty and replaced this large piece of glass at no cost to me. we have had these windows for over 4 years and are very happy with them. they have significantly cut down on the outside noise coming inside. they actually help me sleep at night, as it gets extremely windy here in the winter months and I noticed a big difference in the wind noise in the upstairs bedroom. also no more little dust cones on the window sills that we would see with the old windows. probably saving money on energy as well, but with my solar system my bill is always zero anyway. We had all of our windows replaced by win dor as well as a slider and three French doors(new instal not replacements). I have complained about one of the French doors from the time it was installed. Win Dor says there are no records of my complaints. At least two persons have been out to "fix" the door. It was never repaired. Today the tech said the charge would be $150 for the part and $90 for the install. He said I was informed of the charge when I set up the appointment, I complained and said that I was not informed of the charges. I spoke to the scheduler and asked to speak to the supervisor. She said he wasn't available. I asked for his number, no dice. The supervisor called and was irate. He said I approved of the charges when I scheduled the appointment, I did not. He said they had a recording of my consent. I said let me hear it. He said I could hear it in court. The tech said, before the instal, they would not guarantee that the new part would fix the problem. I said in that case forget about it. Why would I agree to a charge to a repair with no guarantee it would fix the problem? He attempted to leave with out securing the old parts, I said all these screws are still loose(I filmed it) he tightened them but not all of them saying they were that way it was when he arrived. The supervisor said don't ever call again with any other complaints. He was hostile and accusatory. Over all the windows and doors have been good but service has been terrible especially with the French doors and the one that has never functioned like the other two. Win Dor fought with our GC regarding the installation of the French Doors and other widows that were new installations. It made for more stress in an already stressful situation. I would never use Win Dor again. read more

We purchased our doors and windows from win dor and I called them for couple items because some of items are life time warranty, well flatly told me that the items such as locks, screen door and sliding glass door were not covered and I have to pay for their guy to come over and look at those items. We have had our WinDor windows for 15 years now and have had excellent luck with them. The few problems that we have encountered have been addressed promptly by the Windor service team and the lifetime warranty is appreciated. We replaced the existing, original aluminum framed, single hung windows with their products, and upgraded two windows to bay windows, and replaced a large sliding glass door with french doors. The difference in noise and the amount of dirt that entered the house through the windows was incredible, and the air conditioning and heating bills decreased significantly due to the thw better thermal insulation of the vinyl frames and double windows. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the looks and function of the windows and feel that it modernized the appearance of our home. read more

We were so impressed we were convinced to give them a try. We can honestly say this was a great experience!!! Corey Garvin is the best! We were long overdue to replace malfunctioning windows in our home and contacted Win-Dor on the recommendation of my brother. Stephon Tyson came out to give me suggestions and measure for the windows that were of the highest priority in replacing. I already knew that Win-Dor makes a superior product as my brother had his windows replaced several years ago by Win-Dor and raved about the quality and the responsiveness of Win-Dor. Stephon was punctual to the minute that he said he would be at my home, was professional and courteous. But what I appreciated most about Stephon was his honesty in regards to his approach in helping me select appropriate windows to meet my needs and stay within my budget. I had a few other companies come out and give estimates and quite frankly, the other sales people took up way too much of my time and were insistent that both my husband and I be present to endure their overblown presentations of their overpriced products. After researching vinyl windows, we decided to work with Win-Dor and their sales professional, Stephon Tyson. It was really nice working with Stephon, he was not pushy, very professional, and a showed us all the choices we had both at the design center and at home. We thought the price was very reasonable and decided to go with them. Win-Dor manufactures their own windows, so everything is custom-made and high quality. The installation crew came in and installed our sliding door, and two beautiful sliding windows along the back of our home. They look beautiful and are a big change from the wooden ones we replaced. Win-Dor was recommended to us by my parents who were very happy with the work they performed several years ago. We contacted Win-Dor to replace a set of french doors that leaked every time it rains. We decided to have the doors replaced with a slider. With Easter only 6 weeks away we asked if it was possible to have the door installed before then. The door was installed and the stucco patch work was completed just before Easter. We are very happy with the new door. On the positive side, I had Win-Dor doors and windows installed throughout the house and they have been great. On the negative side, a few years after the installation I needed some trim replaced around my sliding glass door. I found that all of the San Diego offices are now closed. Attempting to contact the Brea office was a joke. It is nearly impossible to get them to answer the phone or return a call. It appears that small repairs are not something they want to do. After finally getting a quote via email for $140 I had to leave at least 4 voice mails before I was able to catch someone to schedule the repair. At that time I was told that the quote was incorrect and that it was actually $300 to simply replace the plastic trim around the door. read more

Jesus came out first time and to replace all casement hardware on 7-1-2016. He was most helpful and replaced the hardware efficiently and quickly. When I called customer service Kim for the replacement of the casement hardware I explained that the locking hardware on one window was also broken. Jesus came back out today,7-28 and replaced the locking hardware on one bay window. He replaced the locking hardware on the two windows in one bay. Jesus went over and above he adjusted the wheels on the screen of the sliding glass door and adjusted the slider which was not sliding smoothly. Thank you Jesus read more

No quote-one star (for returning phone call)! Called Windor to get a window quote. Don from Windor had previously given me a quite for a patio cover, which I had another company do. He also gave me a quote for French doors, which I had another company install. I am now ready to have Windows installed, called Windor to get a quote and made an appt for Don to come out. Received a call from Don asking me if I had the patio and frenchdoors done, I said yes. He then said, 'well why should I come out to give you an estimate?' I said 'well I gave you the opportunity to give me your best price on the patio then on the frenchdoirs but other companies beat your quote' to which he replied, 'I don't think I want to come out and give you a quote again, I can tell you we will never beat anyone else's quote' I said 'no problem, cancel my appt.' I guess Windor employees do not believe in people shopping around and getting different quotes, as Don represents Windor, I suppose he believes when a quote is given it is a done deal! read more

Well, it was time to change my windows. After a few appointments with different companies, I choose Stephon from Win-Dor. First problem occurred when they told me I have lead on my old windows. I wasn't surprise .. it's a old house! I contacted a few companies who are specialize on those kind of thing, and I choose KB Environmental INC. I got an estimate, agreed with the price, schedule the job and everything was set. KB Environmental INC came to take care of the lead (one day before installing the new windows by Win-Dor) and make a HUGE mistake: (to this day I don't know what happen) they were schedule to take out all the old windows, and "clean up" the lead on the frames. Instead, they took all the windows AND ALL THE FRAMES OUT !!! Of course, when Win-Dor was ready to put the windows, they couldn't (no frames to install the windows). To make the story short, I wasn't happy about the mistake, but KB Environmental INC step up and agreed to fix it. Win-Dor (Stephon) was great. They managed to do their part and when I called Stephon and ask him to see KB Environmental INC, he was there with me, to make sure the repairs (outside & inside) will be done right. I have a business too, and I understand and accept, sometimes "shit happen"!! The big difference is: When a problem occur, usually the good companies stay on the top of it, and try their best to fix it ... Win-Dor and KB Environmental INC did. I recommend both companies. Their product and service is top notch. The quote process was handled by Tyler Wadeley whom was courteous and professional. While their price was more than their competitors, I felt that their product quality justified the extra cost. Installation was professionally done in a single day (we had a total of 4 windows and 2 sliding glass doors). The window quality lived up to expectation. The only downside is how long it took from signing the contract to actual installation (about two months) because they manufacture their own product and the high demand. They are apparently working on remedying this.
