I've wanted to try Wimbos for years and while at work I finally ordered takeout from this spot. This place did not disappoint at all. I wasn't able to go inside to take pics unfortunately, since I ordered through door dash. So let me see tell you what I got from the menu. What I Ordered ________________ Fried Shrimp Potato: 8.2/10 This was really good, but the broccoli wasn't fresh. Also I wanted more cheese and asked for extra. I wish there was some sort of queso cheddar cheese sauce to go on top. I also added sour cream to this. It was extremely filling. After lunch I was ready to go straight home to my bed. The shrimp was fried to perfection but the breading/seasoning wasn't it for me. Overall Experience: 8/10 Will I Return? : Ehhh Maybe This establishment has been Tamied ™ read more

They did it again! I was in Fort Lauderdale and I was looking for a place to eat. I was a little bit skeptical about returning to this location. I thought "maybe they just had a good day the first time" or "maybe it was just the chef that was working that day" or " maybe I was just really tired and it tasted good to me in that state" but I decided to be courageous and try it again... When I tell you, my skepticism was erased! It was good the first and they did it again a second time. My taste buds were delighted. The potato was soft creamy all the way through, just cooked to perfection. The meat was well seasoned and paired well with the potato. My only critique is I would have liked more mushrooms because I'm a mushroom girl, but it was great. The restaurant is simple, comfortable, very relaxed and casual l, but clean. This is going to be my go to spot whenever I am in this part of Broward county. THIS is comfort food. read more

They moved to a place off NW 31st avenue between Sunrise Blvd and Oakland park, it's off the road a bit, can be easy to miss, especially driving into that funky parking lot. The potatoes are STILL o_OmG good. Their menu has added tasty selections, new drinks that are soooo nom. But they sometimes run out of certain items by the afternoon :-( so it's good to call and check item availability. The wait can be *brutal* if you don't order ahead. But the owner and the workers stay so cool, and being mad will never come between me and a Wimbo potato. read more

I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Potato. First of all it was huge and it was absolutely delicious!!! I think it was a reasonable price however I would have loved some broccoli on it. I Can't wait to try others!!!! read more

Yes yes and yes.,that potato was soooooo good!! And the right amount of seasoning and condiments on the side.

It's an understatement to say the baked potatoes are HUGE! My dad splurged and conquered the Seafood baked potato (at least half of it on first sitting). It's loaded with imitation crab meat, large shrimp and topped with a lobster tail. I took on the steak and cheese. Both were very tasty. A little more cheese on mine wouldn't have hurt because the potato is so big. I forgot to ask for broccoli add-on, but there's always next time. What I particularly like is their customer service, being greeted quickly upon entry and thanked for my patronage. An associate's adept handling of a disgruntled customer was refreshing. read more

I was expecting a food truck for some reason but was impressed they're inside. Service was polite and professional on the phone and in person. They kept it all distanced with the rona' scare, and we were in and out with super service. I didn't dissect the potato enough to know if it was only 1 or multiple, but I can tell you that's the biggest potato(es) I've ever seen. It's massive. It turned out to be about 3 meals and a snack for me. We went with lobster, and another cheeseburger potato. Both were amazing. Sour cream was included in both of the cheesy low-calorie healthy meals. I enjoyed the cheeseburger a little more but my roommate dukes enjoyed the lobster more. I've never had a lobster potato before but for only $12 it was totally worth it. Since it became 3+ meals each, I probably would've added a 2nd lobster tail if it was an option. Slightly disproportioned, the cheeseburger probably had 1/3rd pound or more of meat and the lobster was only a few bites, 1 small tail. Totally acceptable for the price but if there was an option to add more I would next time. It's bitter sweet they're far from me because I'd love to come back more often, however the scale appreciates me not going back on the regs. I will be back though. A+ food and A+ service. read more

The baked potatoes are massive and so are the toppings. The flavors of all the different combinations are not only very creative but crazy delicious. Hearty enough to have half for lunch and half for dinner. I've tried the bbq ribs potato, garlic shrimp and curry shrimp. They were all great. Must try, one of my favorite food trucks. read more

It was my first time and i lovvvvve bake potatoes and when I say I treated them 2weeks ago and when I say it was AMAZING I ain't lying

First off I moved from California 2 yrs ago & this is my spot every since... I'm on here at least 3x a month I live alone so it's well worth it to not have to cook a full course meal for one person the portion size is enough for me to have for lunch and dinner I love the lemon pepper potato with all the trimmings and I've also tried their wings can't go wrong when you just want something quick recently my girlfriends came down and they had the seafood lovers and if I tell you it almost started a fight when one of my girls ate the other ones food this place is awesome read more

Great awesome potatoes! Great food but too short staffed. The varieties of potatoes great!,

I got the potato stuffed with seafood and broccoli. There was so much food. It was pretty decent however, I did not like that they used imitation crab meat. This is a carry out restaurant so the vibe inside is just that. The best thing about this place is how much food you get but after two days I couldn't finish the potato. This was a place I could have skipped on my food exploration. read more

I went to Wimbo's today and felt obligated to share this awesome experience with the Yelp community. This restaurant specializes in baked potato's. I ordered the steak stuffed potato with shrimp and it was AMAZING. The service was prompt and friendly The food was hot and fresh and Bursting with flavor and overflowing with meat and shrimp. I couldn't finish it the portion was so BIG. A great first impression and I will definitely be back with help next time to finish that jumbo stuffed potato! read more

The soul has left the place... word of advice, season your potato before you bake it.. sadly and olive oil will suffice. Shrimp could be better, potato be dry so maybe adding some leftover sauce from the meat would be nice as well. Overall I forgot why I stopped coming here. read more

Turn right on 21st st off of Rt 441 South and you'll see the truck... go around the corner into the plaza and there it is. Wimbos!! Omg. This is a new little restaurant from their potato truck.. It's still in the making but you can see the charm evolving. The menu is the most clever array of mouth watering selections that keep you changing your mind. I had garlic crab and Bob had garlic shrimp... 8 plump juicy shrimp. Potatoes are huge, baked crisp, split and slightly mashed, filled with butter, melted cheese and the toppings of your choice. Most run about $8.One is enough for two! It is beyond delicious, it is SCRUMPTIOUS! Ann & Bob Gold read more

Would give it 5 stars but 1: when I got there they told me they didn't make the crispy chicken sub, when it's clearly in the menu under "subs" 2: the address on here is incorrect. Other then that this place is delicious, the tenders are well cooked and crispy, the fries have their unique seasoning and the baked potato with shrimp, crab, and broccoli is excellent! The location isn't really what you would expect, I think it's like a lounge at night but the food makes up for it. read more

This place is very tasty I usually make my own stuffed potatoes at home, it was nice to find. Spot that has perfected it. I was a little disappointed the steak potatoes had philly steak and not real sliced steak but that's my fault for not confirming, still was tasty. The Garlic shrimp was great as well. I am going to try the wings and then I have satisfied by buds with this place. Happy eats read more

VERY GHETTO AND UNPROFESSIONAL !!!! Called at 8:58 pm because they don't close until 10pm and the unprofessional rude girl that answered the phone just said we closed i asked what are their real hours because they claim to close at 10pm but it's 8:58 she replies and says WELL!! we closed now read more

I love Wimbos !! I eat here about 2-3 times a week. The best potatoes, mashed potatoes bowls and wings in town. The food is always delicious! I used to go to the location in Fort Lauderdale but I was so happy when the owner's opened up a second location. Shawn who services the ordering counter is the best. She is always professional and pleasant every time I visit. The mashed potato bowl with grilled chicken and their lemon pepper wings are my favorites. But, they have a wide selection on their menu. Give them a try if you're a looking for great food. read more

I'm sad to say it's not the same at all. I've been knowing and going to wimbos since he first started and had just bought his food working outside of pink. Food was beyond phenomenal!!! Large portions great prices and mouthwatering loaded potatoes with so much flavor. Over the years when he moved around with the food I followed and so tonight I went to his shop on 441 . Customer service isn't the best they tell you 30 min wait over the phone for you to come pick up your food for you to have to wait an additional 20 mins in the store. Then you pay extra for extra cheese which is a only a dollar not bad at all but they give you just a sprinkle hell half of my potato didn't have cheese . I should of paid an extra 5 dollars worth to get it right. Then I chose the crunch master . Super super salty . With only chicken crumbs and pretty much fried chicken batter NO MEAT! The shrimp on it was just okay. They have definitely dropped the ball. I bought two plates my mother wanted some too she didn't even bother with it after 3 bites ! This sucks because I was really looking forward to having a great meal like how it was when he first started . Waste of 40 bucks . read more

Please be careful going here. Upon entrance eI noticed numerous health code violations that only got worse while on premise. The doors, floors, counters, and booths, all were dirty and had visible grease and grime on them. The bathroom had no toilet paper, hand towels or hand dryer, soap, or hot water. The employees in the kitchen were not wearing masks or gloves. There were to go containers just laying stacked on the floor in the back hall by the bathroom. This place needs to be careful as it is going to get someone sick soon. foodies do your do diligence read more

I have no idea what the garlic shrimp potatoes with peppers and onions taste like, because its been 35 mins since we ordered and we are still freaking waiting! Will never order from here again even if our food tastes amazingly palatable. I don't care what creative toppings you put on a potato, its not worth a 35 min wait. At the end of the day, it's just a potato. read more
