What I Ordered ________________ Fried Shrimp Potato: 8.2/10 This was really good, but the broccoli wasn't fresh. Also I wanted more cheese and asked for extra. I wish there was some sort of queso cheddar cheese sauce to go on top. I also added sour cream to this. It was extremely filling. After lunch I was ready to go straight home to my bed. They did it again! I was in Fort Lauderdale and I was looking for a place to eat. I was a little bit skeptical about returning to this location. I thought "maybe they just had a good day the first time" or "maybe it was just the chef that was working that day" or " maybe I was just really tired and it tasted good to me in that state" but I decided to be courageous and try it again... When I tell you, my skepticism was erased! It was good the first and they did it again a second time. My taste buds were delighted. The potato was soft creamy all the way through, just cooked to perfection. The meat was well seasoned and paired well with the potato. My only critique is I would have liked more mushrooms because I'm a mushroom girl, but it was great. The restaurant is simple, comfortable, very relaxed and casual l, but clean. They moved to a place off NW 31st avenue between Sunrise Blvd and Oakland park, it's off the road a bit, can be easy to miss, especially driving into that funky parking lot. The potatoes are STILL o_OmG good. Their menu has added tasty selections, new drinks that are soooo nom. But they sometimes run out of certain items by the afternoon :-( so it's good to call and check item availability. The wait can be *brutal* if you don't order ahead. But the owner and the workers stay so cool, and being mad will never come between me and a Wimbo potato. read more

It's an understatement to say the baked potatoes are HUGE! My dad splurged and conquered the Seafood baked potato (at least half of it on first sitting). It's loaded with imitation crab meat, large shrimp and topped with a lobster tail. I took on the steak and cheese. Both were very tasty. A little more cheese on mine wouldn't have hurt because the potato is so big. I forgot to ask for broccoli add-on, but there's always next time. What I particularly like is their customer service, being greeted quickly upon entry and thanked for my patronage. An associate's adept handling of a disgruntled customer was refreshing. read more

Exceptional!!! The staff is phenomenal. All the food is so fresh and absolutely delicious!!! WIMBO'S CRAZY POTATOES is a MUST!!!

I was expecting a food truck for some reason but was impressed they're inside. Service was polite and professional on the phone and in person. They kept it all distanced with the rona' scare, and we were in and out with super service. I didn't dissect the potato enough to know if it was only 1 or multiple, but I can tell you that's the biggest potato(es) I've ever seen. It's massive. It turned out to be about 3 meals and a snack for me. We went with lobster, and another cheeseburger potato. Both were amazing. Sour cream was included in both of the cheesy low-calorie healthy meals. I enjoyed the cheeseburger a little more but my roommate dukes enjoyed the lobster more. I've never had a lobster potato before but for only $12 it was totally worth it. Since it became 3+ meals each, I probably would've added a 2nd lobster tail if it was an option. Slightly disproportioned, the cheeseburger probably had 1/3rd pound or more of meat and the lobster was only a few bites, 1 small tail. Totally acceptable for the price but if there was an option to add more I would next time. It's bitter sweet they're far from me because I'd love to come back more often, however the scale appreciates me not going back on the regs. I will be back though. A+ food and A+ service. read more

The baked potatoes are massive and so are the toppings. The flavors of all the different combinations are not only very creative but crazy delicious. Hearty enough to have half for lunch and half for dinner. I've tried the bbq ribs potato, garlic shrimp and curry shrimp. They were all great. Must try, one of my favorite food trucks. read more

Would give it 5 stars but 1: when I got there they told me they didn't make the crispy chicken sub, when it's clearly in the menu under "subs" 2: the address on here is incorrect. I was a little disappointed the steak potatoes had philly steak and not real sliced steak but that's my fault for not confirming, still was tasty. The Garlic shrimp was great as well. I love Wimbos !! I eat here about 2-3 times a week. The best potatoes, mashed potatoes bowls and wings in town. The food is always delicious! I used to go to the location in Fort Lauderdale but I was so happy when the owner's opened up a second location. Shawn who services the ordering counter is the best. She is always professional and pleasant every time I visit. The mashed potato bowl with grilled chicken and their lemon pepper wings are my favorites. But, they have a wide selection on their menu. I'm sad to say it's not the same at all. I've been knowing and going to wimbos since he first started and had just bought his food working outside of pink. Food was beyond phenomenal!!! Large portions great prices and mouthwatering loaded potatoes with so much flavor. Over the years when he moved around with the food I followed and so tonight I went to his shop on 441 . Customer service isn't the best they tell you 30 min wait over the phone for you to come pick up your food for you to have to wait an additional 20 mins in the store. Then you pay extra for extra cheese which is a only a dollar not bad at all but they give you just a sprinkle hell half of my potato didn't have cheese . I should of paid an extra 5 dollars worth to get it right. Then I chose the crunch master . Super super salty . With only chicken crumbs and pretty much fried chicken batter NO MEAT! The shrimp on it was just okay. They have definitely dropped the ball. I bought two plates my mother wanted some too she didn't even bother with it after 3 bites ! Please be careful going here. Upon entrance eI noticed numerous health code violations that only got worse while on premise. The doors, floors, counters, and booths, all were dirty and had visible grease and grime on them. The bathroom had no toilet paper, hand towels or hand dryer, soap, or hot water. The employees in the kitchen were not wearing masks or gloves. There were to go containers just laying stacked on the floor in the back hall by the bathroom.
