We got…read morea few different quotes for the work, including from Mike who came out to look at the space on a Saturday afternoon. Mike's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was the only one without contingencies, and the only one which stated up front that his crew would remove the old tile floor, repair any underlying issues with the subfloor, and level it before installing the new luxury vinyl planks. Plus we felt comfortable after meeting him about the plan and the quality of the materials/work. It took about two weeks after signing up to get the planks ordered/delivered, and then set a time to do the installation. A two-man crew showed up around 8:30 a.m., gave me some updates along the way to show what was happening (and ask some important questions I hadn't considered, like which way the new planks should run), and they finished installing the flooring and the quarterround by about 11:30 a.m. Everything looks great, and we are very happy.

After install, I immediately noticed a squeaky/crunchy noise when walking on my new LVP. After a round of finger pointing, an independent flooring inspector came out and identified that the manufacturer was not at fault, but it was in fact the installer. This process took months and the end result was that there was negligence during prep/installation so back over to the ladies for action. Original purchase and install occurred in July and its now September and just this week the floors were redone, but still experiencing the same noise -- just not to the same degree. I was told to wait for it to settle.. So we will see! I can't help but laugh at this point that I originally paid $700 for quarter-rounds during installation because "they would be damaged" but during the second round of install they did not replace the quarter-rounds and here I am repainting them (yes, full reno back in July). There is no doubt that the ladies are fantastic saleswomen and very helpful with recommending flooring options. Furthermore, they stand behind correcting deficiencies. However, for the amount of money I paid -- I expect quality craftsmanship throughout the entire process.

As soon as we were about to enter the store, we were greeted very enthusiastically by an employee. It was so nice and welcoming. This store is massive! We decided to walk around the entire store since it was our first time here. I was surprised of the imbalance of product genres. Eventually, we located where the countertops were and it was the smallest section of this warehouse size store. Once we located the countertop section, we found very limited options but decided to pull samples together. There are areas where you can put samples together and see how everything looks. After we did that, we decided to leave. Upon walking out, an employee who was working the designing desk offered his card and informed us the services Floor & Decor provides, including someone coming to the home and assisting in ordering, designing, and providing estimates. We were also greeted on the way out of the store. The employees were really nice.
