Worst doctor appointment EVER. 85% of the appointment was spent with a medical student who took a medical history. When Dr. Wilson walked in he had already made up his mind and he did not listen to a word I said. In spite of the fact my child has had positive allergy tests, multiple documented reactions that responded to antihistamines, family history of allergies etc etc Dr. Wilson insisted every single reaction was due to a series of viral infections. I tried to give more information and I was immediately shut down.
When I expressed concern that I was not being listened to, Dr. Wilson became extremely defensive to the point of being rude. He sited a long list of his credentials and said I had no other choice for allergy care in Reno. (This is not true by the way.) He made huge assumptions about how we have handled my child's allergies thus far, which were completely off the mark.
No allergy testing was done. The bill: over $200.
I did not make a follow-up appointment. I sought out a second opinion from another doctor and a very different diagnosis was reached. read more
