It is in their compliance statement that you do not use these prior to coming to their office. The wrist bp cuff is inaccurate. Kept telling the girl checking me in that it is off to no avail. My care was less than adequate..... What AC doesn't t tell you is that the provider you're placed with is the ONLY PERSON you are allowed to see or talk to. Unfortunately I got placed with a PA. At first I questioned her, that if I felt I needed to see one of the doctors in the practice, was that possible? She said yes, and that she would be discussing my care with them as well. Wish I would have known that was NOT TRUE! 1 1/2 years later my symptoms are worse. More pain, more inflammation, and none of the meds she prescribed have helped. I've gotten serious side effects from them instead. I asked to talk to one of the doctors as my care was going no where. I've seen her every three months.... nothing helped. I got a phone call from their very rude office manager the day following my last visit that I was no longer their patient. Apparently, questioning your care is not allowed! Also at this practice you don't have the option to not take a medication they want to prescribe, as that was given as a reason for the termination of care. The med was methotrexate, it has known severe side effects and there are other safer meds available. The PA and doctor supposedly discussed my condition. The office had a new practice to refer me to. No thanks! I told them I would find my own provider, which I did, and they could send my records to them. Multiple people told me this was their experience at AC. I should have listened! Saved my money and time and gone somewhere else! DO NOT GO HERE! There are much better, caring Rheumatologists in the area. I was immediately seen at a new practice by a DOCTOR, no PAs at this practice! Don't let them convince you that a PA has the same training or expertise... they obviously DO NOT!! Wasted hundreds of dollars for nothing! Found out they drop people from AC regularly, if you have not been seen in a year or question medsir treatment prescribed! She is glad they dropped her as she is now being cared for by a new caring doctor in Reno. Go to Renown or Minden for Rheumatology care. You will be listened to and respected as a patient and be able to discuss options for your care with your doctor, not be TOLD what to do with your own body! The staff are also friendly and caring at the new practices.

When I politely asked her name, she became defensive, refused to give it, and hung up on me. This is unacceptable. I called with real questions, hoping for clarity and support. Instead, I was met with hostility, disrespect, and unprofessionalism. She had the nerve to tell me there is no cure for my condition. That is not only false but shockingly irresponsible for a medical office. Update: For the super hostile receptionist who told me there's no cure for what I have -- exactly as I said I would, I found my own cure. Not medication, not their bratty attitude, nothing from this office was needed whatsoever. Thanks for turning me off so much that I solved it myself. The gal advised me that it was the doctor's policy to collect a copay whether they have one or not, and then said "if you don't agree with it, you can not be seen and pay the $25 no-show cancel fee instead." I completely understand being precautionary and the doctor collecting the coinsurance upfront - but the staff should be encouraged to show a little bit of empathy and not be snarky and rude on a patient's first visit (or any visit!) We saw the doctor for a total of 5 minutes... Within 5 minutes of the appointment time - which is what justifies even 1 star- but then were told we had to stand in a narrow hallway to check-out. There was a line with 2 people ahead of us to check out. We were not acknowledged by anyone - other than other workers asking us to move out of their way so they could bring patients from the waiting room to the exam rooms. After TWENTY MINUTES of employees avoiding the checkout line - and not being acknowledged and having employees avoid eye contact - I finally walked out. This prompted the check out lady to run out the door chasing me to get my paperwork. She apologized for our bad experience - which also supports the single star rating... If I could have rated zero stars, I would have. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment and will not be returning. Tip to the doctors: your office staff is clearly under appreciated and have zero expectations for providing customer service. Empathy and acknowledgement go far in this world. And I will drive across town to another doctor that's not as convenient to avoid ever stepping in your office again.

I was impressed from my first visit with Dr. Lokshin's quiet competence; he asked many questions to ensure that I would receive the best care tailored to my needs. Over the years, my asthma and allergies remained under control with the occasional tweak to my regimen. If a medication wasn't working for me, he made sure to find a suitable alternative. This is a doctor who most definitely makes his patient's individual needs and care his utmost priority and this shows in his demeanor and prescribed care. I took my 6 week old son in to see this doctor over the weekend at the after-hours clinic. He had…read morebeen seen previously by our pediatrician for a cold and cough, but developed severe congestion and a bad cough over the weekend. The nurse hotline said to take him to the ER, but after speaking with my friend who is an ER physician I waited until the morning to bring him to the clinic to avoid any ER illnesses. The wait at the clinic was short, and after being checked in the doctor was in quickly. He quickly listened to my son's ears and lungs and said, "You shouldn't have brought him in. There is nothing wrong. It is just a cough." I was quickly brushed off as a worried mom. He told me repeatedly that I should not have brought him in because it is flu season. I told him that the night prior I was told to take him to the ER, and he was so congested he was having problems eating. The doctor told me that everyone has that cough, and it didn't matter that my son was a twin born a month early. I left with no plan of action, and my son was not looked at thoroughly. The next morning, I took him straight in to my pediatrician. My son has RSV and bronchiolitis, and is receiving nebulizer treatments 3+ times a day. If he had actually listened to me he would have known that my son was wheezing and congested. That extra day of treatment could have been one day where he could have turned around and been on the road to recovery. Not only was he not thorough, he completely brushed me off. I'm sorry, I'm not a doctor, and if a nurse tells me to take my son in please don't fight with me on being a "worried mom".

Dr. Melikov was excellent, very knowledgable and his demeanor with the kids was perfect. When I realized I was unable to get the care I was accustomed to with Dr. Adams I was willing to drive the 12 hours to continue seeing him but due to timing it didn't work out. I literally called every 3 months to see if anything changed and Amy was always willing to talk to me. We followed her across town from her smaller office to their new location. She is thorough and is very organized. She helped us answer a lot of questions we had and care plan. She has nurse practitioners here, but we prefer Dr. Dhatt. The Office is great as well, minimal issues and they are able to accommodate us in case of an emergency. I highly recommend this office if you're referred out for an allergist or asthma care.
