However, I have nothing to say about the David R. and his awesome team that helped us. We had one little incident the very first day. However, it was not their fault. His dispatcher did not relay the message about our community being gated and needing a little truck to get in. Once that was over. David came in introduced himself and the rest of his team followed. They were absolute machines to the point I felt bad and bought them lunch. I have no idea how they busted through our 3 level home the way they did. But I mean they blew through everything without incidents. They called the day before delivery and was early the day of. We had a window for the service elevator 9:00am to 12:00pm. They finished at 11:36. I know because I looked. I couldn't believe they did it in such a short period of time. They put our desk, t.v. and stands back together. Put boxes in the sections of our new home. So it would be easy for me to get to everything. Yes, they offered to unpack. Back those robots would of fried my brain if I allowed them to unpack and I tried to follow behind them and put things where I'd want them. So, I opted out. lol If you need to relocate I'd ask for David R. and his team. This wasn't our first long distance trip with movers. But this was the best door to door white glove service by far. Tony, the driver, said he would be in Arizona on Saturday and 7:30 in morning on Saturday he showed up. They unloaded, nothing damaged, incredibly efficient and professional. The job was priced right, completed on time, and Brenda, Nick and the driver Tony couldn't have been more accommodating. I haven't had experience in many years with other companies, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend DMS. In fact, I can't imagine why anyone would use anyone else. My crew, Derek and Justin were extremely efficient and communicative. They always asked me where and how I would like to have the things unloaded and placed, and were very respectful of my apartment. That being said - I don't want others to fall into the trap I did. My experience was similar to the many other voices here on yelp. I was provided with an "estimated hours time" to complete my move . . . everything in the house was packed and ready to load. Three men showed up late. One young guy was on his phone every time I walked outside to check progress on loading. A completely rude man kept asking to use my bathroom and then informed me I was out of toilet paper and did I have more. Needless to say I had a clogged toilet. They took more than twice the anticipated time to load the truck and behaved outrageously when I said I didn't have enough cash to pay them (since I planned for half the time). The man wanted to stay (alone) in my empty house while I went to the bank to get money. What kind of legitimate business demands payment in cash?! But the real reason I am writing this review is because most of what I loaded into the truck went into storage for a year. I just moved again and was able to unpack my things......crushed storage boxes, soo many broken items I can't even count, damaged furniture AND my very expensive commercial sized treadmill is broken. The day of the move I watched the bathroom idiot try to pick up the console by himself and as I was beginning to say, "don't....." - he dropped it upside down on my concrete drive. I was hopeful that since it was wrapped in foam and moving blankets it would be safe - but I should have known better. When I called the owner he started swearing at me and insisting everything was my fault and his men told him I was "difficult". Don't trust this man/company with your possessions! The clowns he hires to do the moving are unprofessional, rude, lazy and don't give a poo about how they treat your items.

Despite some logistics issues with my storage units (having 2 different delivery addresses) they had the trucks ready to go, helped us pack leftover stuff, and overall it was as low stress as you could expect. I spoke to Clarence who identified himself not as the owner but as the manager (more on that…read morelater). The initial Red Flag was during the conversation I mentioned the need for certain documentation from him to go forward (Basically licensing information, and Insurance Information) as asking for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is INDUSTRY STANDARD for a move like this. I received IMMEDIATE Push Back and was told that I didnt need said information and that I could get his licensing and bonding information from LARA (Michigan Licensing And Regulatory Affaris) which I did: [Federal License: They hold a valid federal license under USDOT #2303845] and their other license [They are registered as a domestic profit corporation in Michigan (ID: 800705051)] What i couldn't get is Bonding and or the COI ...which i need to protect ny inventory and myself from damage, and or loss. As I said this is Industry standard. I explained this to Clarence and was told that I would recieve that information at a later time after further discussions. Fast forward I talked to Clarence yesterday to confirm that he would recieve an inventory list by no later than close of Business today 5/8/2026 !! He's assured me at the time of our last phone call that that was suitable. We stayed late into the evening yesterday creating an itemized inventory list for Clarence.....only to be told today that he couldn't do it because he has another big move scheduled for "The Government" i dont know how true this is but I find it highly suspicious that 1) he did t call this morning to let us know that he couldn't complete the move which most assuredly could be the case......but in the name of professionalism and the time we have spent on the phone wouldn't it be standard to let us know? Secondly in MY OPINION I think he didnt like the verbiage that was used in the inventory email j. That it specifically asked again for the COI, and ending information as is STANDARD in this business. in our first conversation he told me that he had never been asked for that type of information before and I explained to him at that point, that when doing business with multi million dollar businesses you have to do everything right, he then went kn to tell me how many rich people from the lions and mentioned doing a move for the Taubman estate etc....which is fine but asking for a COI is standard......I feel as if Clarence is operating without being Bonded or without the proper insurance to protect not only the belongings of my company but of anybody he is moving. Again this is my opinion based off of my conversations with him and his subversive responses. He may very well have these very important documents and insurance im not saying that he doesn't what I am saying is that people need to be careful. He has cause me to lose valuable time. I did however call another moving company who gave me without question the documents that I asked for and I am looking forward to this move albeit at a higher price than expected. I would simply like to remind Mr. Clarence (Still dont know why he didnt identify himself as the owner instead of making it appear as he was someone else employed there) thay doing good business is paramount to being g considered great in the business world I own a Mortage company and a Real Estate Brokerage the referrals alone could have netted you a an upwards of six additional figures a year... but you moved Mr. Taubman so maybe you didnt need the business we could have thrown your way. People be very careful and cross all "T's" and dot all "I's" Time was wasted here and after reading the reviews on here and on Google as well as further research I now understand why MY Response to His Response: Sir at NO TIME, ot ONCE, have said anything Negative about YOU or Your Business what I did HONESTLY and EFFECTIVELY was communicate my experience with your business. What I did attempt to do is offer some of what I hoped would be deemed as valuable feed back from one Black Business owner to another. As far as me claiming to be a CEO I never stated that; What I DID say was that I am a success bussineman. As far as me being a disgruntled ex or former employee... sir I can surely attest to you that we do not know each other nor have we ever met outside of the few conversations that we had. What I can tell you is this: I tried to use this as a learning experience for you,your business and for the consumer who doesn't think about things like insurance that movers are supposed to have when moving their belongings personal or professional and what amount of liability is covered in the case of property being damaged, lost or stolen and how to protect themselves as well as trying to help you with the refinement of your communication skills.
