Instead of the technician calling into his office to ask for a quote to fix it the technician just went ahead and reconnected the damaged wire. It took him less than one minute to repair. After the repair was completed, he then called his office and they quoted me over $400. After they realized there were no parts involved. they went down to $350. I paid it because I didn't want them to put a lien on my home. I think it was very unprofessional that I was not given the opportunity to decide if i wanted to pay the additional cost and I know that when a licensed contractor finds the problem he needs to let the customer know how much it's going to cost before he fixes it. That was clearly not the case with my situation.
