I had an HVAC guy from a reliable referral whom was quick at what he did, but did not seem to go the extra mile. I saw a Groupon online and thought, what the heck, I need my AC Unit checked for the summer. I quickly set an appointment and that was that. During this time, my furnace stopped working. I called BZ on a Saturday morning expecting to get a voicemail only to have my call taken! Brad was empathetic and said he could move my appointment up so that could be taken care of. Brad did everything he said he would do on the Groupon and more! While my last HVAC guy never bothered to inspect why the hot/cold air distribution in the home was so uneven despite pleading with him to make it better, Brad found where the dampers were closed and jammed and worked hard to free them allowing for a more even flow! I seriously cannot emphasize how happy I am about this. Thanks a million Brad! You've exceeded my expectations and you certainly have earned the spot as my new HVAC rockstar! They even suggested recharging the air conditioning in our new home for a fee while they were at it, so we did of course. Like anything else, homes need maintenance and we found out our A/C went bad shortly after. Time for a new one. BZ's was there to help! Here's where things went bad...at the time of the AC install, Brad tells us that the rebate process can be a real pain in the butt. We kind of thought that was odd. Keep in mind we just paid them almost $3,000...this was August of 2016...at the time we didn't care about a rebate. We just wanted to have A/C in our new home. Didn't even think about it. No big deal. Well, a year has now passed. We still haven't received our rebate from Excel thanks to BZ's Comfort Air. We've probably called him 4x in the last 12 months. Not a single returned call. Excel Energy is holding our $400 rebate because Brad couldn't answer a simple question on the appropriate form. They won't allow another contractor to resolve the issue either. In the big picture it's not really about $400...it's about having integrity. If you're going to hire somebody...do you really want someone who's only going to return your calls when it benefits THEM? I'm not even sure I'd get a phone call returned if our air broke down at this point. If you're only looking for upfront work...I guess I would suggest using BZ's Comfort Air. If you're looking for follow up/maintenance work...I can't say I'd say the same. Haven't had a phone call returned since writing the $3,000 check. We looked at every option in the St Cloud area, and it was not fun. Home Depot sent out some other company to give an estimate, and it was well over $10K. I looked into buying my own furnace from Lowe's, and hiring a handyman to hook it up, which would leave us with no warranty and probably a questionable product. Then I found Gilk in Richmond. I emailed them through their website, and received a reply the very next morning. They asked for pictures of my existing furnace, and then gave me a quote via email for both installing a furnace I purchase on my own, but also for installing a good Rheem furnace of theirs that would suit our needs perfectly. They were SO affordable, I was able to go with their Rheem furnace and have them install it, which included a lengthy warranty, too. This was such a huge relief, and they were out the very next morning and had the job all done by noon. They were great to work with, very professional and accommodating. They saved us. From now on, I will tell anyone I know that needs any HVAC work done to at least check with Gilk. I don't think I've ever written a review before, but I had to because this place was so great to us.

The garbage disposal was installed backwards and was not attached correctly to the sink drain, which obviously caused water to leak which ended up going through my floor and ruining the ceiling below. The connections they made to make the disposal fit backwards, were pulled so tight that it also caused a separate leak in the system! Terrible customer service when dealing with management trying to correct the problems they created. The lack of accountability was unbelievable, they even blamed me for the garbage disposal leaking! Very unprofessional overall. Do not recommend them for anything, ever.
